MMORPG: Rebirth of the Legendary TimeKeeper

Chapter 71: Black Dawn

Black Dawn.

One of the 7 strongest guilds that first formed in the shadows and then took shape in the Elf Kingdom. Lucky for them, the elf thought highly of the Pathfinder, lore wise, placing him close to God himself. For them, the Pathfinder was supposed to help them out of their misery, grow back their dying World Tree, and make the elves a proud race.

Black Dawn really did utilise this chance to its full extent.

From what I could recall, the lore was about how the elves lost their God in an ancient war and were reduced to being a lower race in Arcadia. If somehow a Pathfinder appears, he can find them their true God and help them revive him, which in turn, allows the elf to gain back their original status as a High race.

It was also supposed to open up the pathway to [High-Elf] race for the players who had chosen the [Elf] race. A whole damn Main Scenario, and two major update versions of Arcadia, had been dedicated to this whole thing. Alas…

Too bad, the pathfinder lost his path and met me in the middle. I brooded as I recalled Morgan's last moments before erasing it from my mind for now. In no way, it was a pleasant memory.

Right now, I think they are barely trying to understand the world of Arcadia, trying their best to create a strong footing there.

If I were to make a blind guess, they are searching for all the rare races, rare weapons and possible dungeons in the game. They were also looking for hidden quests and such, hoping to find things that ordinary players would miss. Last but not least, they were probably one of the rare few guilds who were focusing on people to Arcadian texts in hopes of finding things hidden deep in the lore of the game.

A good plan, I must say. Perhaps this was the sole reason they were able to reach the heights that they had in my previous life.

It makes me want to cheer them on. Even though I was the one who destroyed them. Well… Whatever…

As for anyone who rushes to get glory, falls equally hard in there.

The rules of Arcadia… nobody should break them. I recalled the saying from the trailer. That one simple sentence held far more information than any ancient tablet or text that one can find in Arcadia.

How ironic of people to miss what's obvious. I mumbled before looking at Alexandra, moving to speak once again,

"This guild is being invested in by three major shareholders, who are also the organisers of this event. It is currently being formed as an under network within the world of Arcadia, expanding at a steady pace. Also, our players are focusing on leveling up, getting rare classes and expanding our foothold in the game's world," Alexandra spoke with a slightly serious voice, her eyes observing the entire hall.

As she explained the details of the guild, she analyzed the people who were interested. When she talked about the shareholders, she saw who was ignoring her words. Lastly, when she explained the benefits of lying low in the beginning, she focused on those who smiled and showed slight hints of mockery on their lips.

Those who were listening, paying attention to her, saw the changes. Those who were not, had no idea that they had lost a bunch of opportunities that could have changed their entire lives.

As for me, looking at all this happening, I kind of found it funny. It made me chuckle a bit at how the upper society really functions.

-Step!

Alexandra unhurriedly took the first step down the stairs, her left hand holding the mike, the other held by Morgan, helping her balance. As she continued speaking about Black Dawn, her eyes observed everyone who was listening to her.

Less than a minute, she had already assessed those who were taking an interest in her words. Focusing on them, she continued,

"So. For those who join in early, we have prepared an early-joining-bonus as a surprise. We will be giving you an annual salary of $100,000, a rare grade weapon that would be delivered within the first 2 months of the game and lastly an executive position within the game itself."

I also saw that those who were not interested in the speech were now paying attention to her. Alas, I believe it was too late for that.

"Other than that, you guys will also hold the privilege to call upon the guild's help in case of emergency. Your call will always take priority over those who join later," she added, her eyes focusing only on those who were listening from the beginning.

Tempting. Hmmm… should I add my name to it? That would be fun.

"I know that many of you are planning to create a guild of your own, and we do not have a problem with that as well. We can instead ask you to support our guild during the initial times. Call it a silent treaty between those who are present here. Later, as we grow more, we will surely return the favour 10 times over."

A daring claim that most of those here won't buy it. But it's all the more interesting because she really is telling the truth. I focused a bit more than before. This sentence somehow made most of those here get interested even more, their eyes looking curiously at Alexandra, waiting for her to walk down and continue her words. Others simply murmured and discussed, they seemed to be thinking deeply about it.

As Alexandra reached down, I noticed a few men in black spreading out pamphlets to the guests. Interestingly enough, only those who had been focusing from the beginning were given the pamphlets, ignoring those who only focused from the latter half.

One of the burly men came near me, and after giving me the pamphlet, he moved to the next guest behind me. I observed him walking down a random trail, giving the pamphlet to a few while ignoring the others on his path.

I wonder how they know whom to give. I thought before looking at the pamphlet.

Your name: _____

Your in-game username: _____

Your in-game ID (If you have it with you): _________

The Guild you are affiliated with (If any): ______

"Some of you have been given a pamphlet. Please think about it and consider. If you are interested, please fill it in and send it to us," Alexandra spoke, getting my attention back to her. As she continued,

"Also, on the back on the blank side, you can write any request you have with us. We will reach you out within the game while maintaining the secrecy."

A slight pause in her voice. She now looked at the confused faces of those who had not received the pamphlet before she began once again, this time putting a bright smile on her face,

"Ah! As for those who did not receive any pamphlets, do not worry. We will be sending personal invitations to you later on."

Most probably a lie. I thought before taking out my marker pen before writing only my In-game ID in it. By the time they confirm whose it is, it will already be too late, I suppose.

I hope they send me a request in the game. It will be fun making use of them. I thought as I pondered plans to destroy their guild from within this time. Perhaps I can stop Morgan from getting his Legendary Class? Haha! Wouldn't that be the best outcome possible?

I smiled at that thought before pausing a bit.

I don't have to submit it immediately. I thought before keeping it in my pocket for the time being. Let's give it about 30 minutes before leaving.

"All right. That's all I have to say. If you people have any questions, you can ask me at the party. I will happily answer," Alexandra then spoke the last words in her speech before summing it up with,

"Please enjoy the rest of the evening. Also, we have a surprise for you at the end. So please make sure to stay until the end."

The rest of the guests nodded before engaging in their own conversations. Some went to eat a bit, while others walked around near the balcony to catch a fresh breath of air. Looking at Silva, who was moving towards Alexandra, it seemed she was interested in Black Dawn. Or perhaps she knew Alexandra herself? Anyways, it's nothing to do with me.

All right. Let's start. I considered before moving towards Alexandra myself.

It was about time I began my act as well.

I took the first step and…

"Hey, Idiot! Just where do you think you are going?" I was stopped by someone.

A man in a dark red suit with a silver mask and a dumb smirk on his face. Focusing on his expression as I analyzed his body shape and the way he behaved, I could only think of one thing.

Who is this idiot?
