MMORPG: Rebirth of the Legendary TimeKeeper

Chapter 70: Find Ezekiel

I looked at Ezekiel praying, and then hunting the devil in a skillful manner. It kinda looked cool, and I was a bit embarrassed as I saw myself in the oversized hologram. The seemingly never-ending embarrassing silence lasted for 2 minutes before it was finally over.

"There are two things that we will be focusing on. First, the language he used to get that strange power. While it wasn't much from our sources, we found that the words he used somewhat matched the prayers in the game. And while we did not get any further than that, we believe that investing time in searching more about this will be a huge boon for us, or for that matter of fact, anyone who does that," she added with a prideful look on her face as if she had discovered something that nobody else did.

That's a bad direction to start with if you have no idea about the Gods in Arcadia. One wrong prayer and you might end up losing half of your stats permanently with nothing to gain in return. Well, I don't exactly need to worry about them doing stupid things. Makes things all the more easier for me. I thought as I recalled what I had heard and learnt after decoding the entire language.

To be fair, I was an extremely safe-playing kind of guy, so I often planned 10 things at once just so that nothing could go wrong. Also, the reason I was able to survive that long all by myself.

"The second thing about Ezekiel is his knowledge and skills. He is currently the most experienced person in the game, who has dozens of ways to do things that players struggle to even think about. He knows smaller secret that could enhance the player's game by a dozen times, and all the more, he has skills that would allow him to face even levels above himself with a great chance of winning, more often than not, in an out-of-the-box kind of way," she added with a serious look on her face.

Aww! You are going to make me blush. I thought as I looked at her saying so many good things about me. Totally different from the last memory of hers, where she was ready to kill me on sight.

Well, I did kill her fiance, her father, her brother, her mother, her sister and her best friend, sold her company, turned her entire stocks worthless and made her almost beg for her life before letting her go. But, hey! That doesn't mean you should try to kill me in return.

The reason I let her live was that while she was a bitch on her own, she was never someone who went against me. She and her two younger twins for that part. It was mostly everyone else who was connected to her.

"Because it's the shortest thing on our theme today, we will be beginning with it first," she spoke as the hologram changed and a list replaced the previous scenery.

"If Ezekiel himself joins our guild, we are ready to provide him with an annual salary of 10 Million Dollars. We can also discuss any demands that he has and create a contract accordingly. This amount can also increase with time, perhaps even 100s of times based on the statistics of the growth of the game we have calculated," she spoke as she paused before looking at the audience, hoping to find someone at least getting tempted by it.

There were awes and murmurs. Still, nobody raised their hand saying, 'I am Ezekiel' or 'I know Ezekiel' as she had planned.

As for me, I quietly observed her without showing even a hint on my face.

"No luck, huh? Well, that was expected. All right. So here are the bounty lists," she spoke as a few more lists came into view.

Find Ezekiel in real life - 1 Million Dollar

Find Information of Ezekiel in real life - $100,000 to 1 Million Dollars

Bring Ezekiel to them - 4 Million Dollar

Bring anything related to Ezekiel to them - $100,000 to 2 Million Dollars

Convince Ezekiel to Join the guild - $500,000

Convince Ezekiel to share small but crucial information about the game - $10,000

Interesting, but too bad, it's still a trap. I considered as I looked at the panel with lists and prices. The last task was something that could be done, but the question of money transfer was still a big problem to be solved. Money, specially transferred by these people was tracked through special means.

Take a single cent, and you might sell your entire life history for it.

"With that being done, there are also prizes for anyone who decodes that strange language. If you have any success with it, please make sure to tell us as we will reward you very handsomely for it," Alexandra added, putting a slight smile on everyone's face.

While Ezekiel was hard to find, given it was almost impossible to track someone through the game, decoding a language was something that was much easier in comparison. All they need to do is find some texts with meaning and start from there, and boom, you get free money for almost doing nothing.

Too bad the text with proper meaning exists only in ancient temples and deep dungeons. That too, hidden behind a bunch of nonsense, easy to ignore walls and such. I sighed as I recalled one of the texts that was written on the turban of an orc boss.

What was interesting was that I had to ask the boss while fighting about what exactly those words meant on his turban, which he explained in full detail while our fight lasted. Which reminds me of an old saying about Arcadia.

Keep doing stupid things. You never know what you might discover.

"All right. With those two things off our plate, we will now begin the most important thing. That is the creation of our new guild in the game…" she spoke as the hologram changed again, this time replacing it with two big words…

Black Dawn.
