"Okay, so let get this straight." – said the wolf beastman captain.

"You have been sent, to deal with the bandits."

"You have bandits, cornered them…. But then it turns out they entered some place filled with some humanoid monsters, but possible demi-humans monsters…. And they just slaughtered every single bandit right in front of your eyes."

"Yes…. This is the situation overall." – said the dog beastman.

"We had managed to capture one of the bandits, presumably their leader."

"He tried to escape, but he was hit with the paralyzing arrow, he also sustained a lot of injuries, so it was quiet easy for us to catch up to him and capture him while we were running away."

"According to him, they were trying to set up an ambush inside the cave… Only to find these things waiting for them inside."

"He said that they were not a living beings, but something made out of wood and iron."

"He thinks they were golems."

"?"

"Golems?" – said the confused beastman captain.

(Where the hell….. Where the hell did I heard that?)

"…"

"What do you think?" – asked beastman captain.

"Well, they were definitely not living beings….. But I have no fucking idea what the golems are." – replied the dog beastman.

"Golems…. Golems…. Golems…. Golems….." – the beastman captain repeated himself over and over.

"?"

"Em…. Captain?" – asked confused dog beastman.

"…."

"I know I've heard something about golems….. But where it was…." – said the beastman captain.

"…"

"No. This isn't important now."

"For now, we need to quickly deal with these golems."

"Where exactly did you fought these golems?" – asked the captain as he took out map and spread it.

"…..Here. In this forest here." – said the dog beastman as he pointed at the location where the chaos unfolded.

"The bandits were hiding here and cave in question was also there."

"I see. So, they must... Wait, a bloody fucking second." – said the beastman captain as his eye suddenly went wide open.

(Wasn't this where we set up our camp before?!)

"…."

(The report from back then…. Where is it?) – thought the beastman captain as he began searching the entire room, before then finally finding the documents he was looking for.

"Suspected terrorist attack…. Used dungeon….. Dungeon in question….!"

"Golem dungeon!"

(Fuck! I remember now! Back then when I was skeptical about that whole fucking forest…. So, I was fucking right!? There was something off about that forest?!)

(But…. We have not encounter ANY golems out there…. If there was really dungeon with these golems, shouldn't we had encountered them, just wondering around?)

"…"

(This isn't normal.)

The incident with the bandits had been successful resolved….. But now a different problems has suddenly emerged, a much more serious problem.

Unknown army of the hostile golems has been spotted in the forest where the bandits were hiding.

Main suspect?

Golem dungeon.

But there was several problems.

First problem was the dungeon was thought to be destroyed by the adventures, before moments later bandits/ Garmfon kingdom was suspected to be behind the Rabbit town destruction.

Second problem was that there was lack of any golem beings.

Even a most basic wooden puppet would just stand out and easily be found out by anybody…. And yet, there was not even a single report about any golems wondering around outside the forest.

And finally, the third problem.

The army of the Garmfon kingdom.

They walked through the forest.

They set up base right next to the forest and stayed there for long time.

And yet there was not even a SINGLE incident involving golems or anything that would point out to their presence in the area.

So, with those three problems, it is hard to believe that there was any golem dungeon in the area….. And then again, there were monsters suspected to be golems.

This obviously make things…. A complicated situation in a way, which in turn forced the Garmfon kingdom forces that were stationery nearby to go and try investigate the forest….. However, once they got there? Things were nothing alike.

"Okay. You bastards know your orders." – said the deer beastman as the soldiers gathered right outside the forest in multiple groups.

"Our main goal isn't to fight, but instead to investigate."

"If the situation turns out far more dangerous than expected, immediately sound a retreat, got it?"

"Then move out!" – said the deer beastman as the multiple groups of soldiers headed towards the forest, entering the forest.

"…"

"!"

"Wait! I saw something!" – shouted the beastman soldier as the moments the group of soldier just started wondering in the forest, they spotted moment from the nearby bushes, alarming the entire group.

"…"

"!"

The soldier got instantly ready to fight…. Only to see a running horned rabbit that jumped out of the bushes, before then running away from the soldiers.

"…"

"Really?" – asked the beast-human soldier.

"H-hey! I didn't knew that- "

"…"

The deer soldier tried giving a excuse for alarming the group for no reason…. Only for him to get suddenly hit right in the eye with a crossbow bolt…. Before moment later his lifeless body hit the ground.

"…"

"Eh?" – the soldier just stared in panic and confusion…. But they were not even given to morn as several blade puppets emerged out of forest and began rushing towards soldiers.

"!"

"FUCK! THEY ARE COMING!" – shouted beast-human as the soldiers instantly started clashing blades with blade puppets.

(The hell? They really can take a hit?!) – thought the beast-human as he stabbed one of the puppets in the chest…. But not killing it.

"They are like undeads! Think of them as skeletons! Just tear them apart or smash them!" – shouted the bear beast-human as he swung his axe, landing a solid strike one of the puppets and straight up knocking it down.

The bear beast-human tried to finish off the puppet…. But the moment he did, he saw another puppet in the distance.

A remodeled crossbow puppet.

The crossbow puppet which originally posses a single crossbow attached to its front was now completely changed to having two different weapons.

Its left arm being blade arm, similar to the blade puppet, while its right arm was a crossbow, which was ready to fire, alarming the bear beast-human who tried to step back in order to get away…. But unfortunately for him, he wasn't given a enough time to react as the crossbow golem fired its crossbow, hitting the beast-human in the chest.

"F-fuck! There! One with crossbow!" – shouted the injured beast-human.

"Take down the- "

The bear beast-human tried to warn the other soldiers about the crossbow golem…. But unfortunately, there was more than one crossbow golem…. And as he noticed them? He got already shot two more times, knocking the man down before then getting stabbed in the neck by the blade puppet he tried to finish before.

"!"

"Fuck! Retreat! Retreat! There is too many of them!" – shouted the panicking beastman, ordering the full retreat.

"Shit…. What the hell were those things?" – asked human soldier with spear who was leading the second group of soldiers and also just now defeated some of the puppets alongside his own squad.

"Hey. Is there more coming?"

"…. Yea…. I think they may have noticed us?" – replied rabbit beast-human.

"But we can still fight. We still have yet to suffer any casualties."

"Nah. We got what we wanted. It's better if we don't risk it." – replied human soldier.

"Retreat."

Multiple groups of soldiers entered the forest in order to investigate it…. However, as soon as they entered it, they were met with the golems.

Some of the soldiers managed to destroy some of the golems and safely retreat… While some other soldier groups were much more unlucky than the rest, resulting in a lot of soldiers suffering injuries or even worse with some soldiers losing their lifes.

"The entire forest is infested with those golems?!" – asked wolf captain.

"According to all the reports we had received, it seems to be the case." – replied the dog beastman woman.

"Considering how early they encounter these golems and how quick they were forced to fight….. The possibility of the entire forest being taken over by the golems isn't so farfetched thought."

"And here, you better want to see this." – said the female beastman as she pointed towards the remolded hammer golem, which had now much thicker body, to the point it could be considered wearing a armor, while also now possessing two much larger hammer arms.

"…"

"According to the old reports that we had taken away, regarding the past incident revolving the golem dungeon, there were 3 different type of golems."

"A long limbed puppet."

"A puppet with claws."

"And a dirt golem."

"This…. This guy doesn't match description of either of these golems…. What about other golems?"

"Non." – replied the female beastman.

"We had encountered 5 different golem types, but so far? None of them matched the description of the golems from the reports."

"…"

"Damn." – said the wolf beastman with worried expression.

(According to the reports, the golems in rapports were consider between F and E ranks, but these ones!? There is no mistaking it.)

(They ar either E+ or D ranks…. No…. There is a chance that some of these puppets maybe ranked much higher.)

(Not only that, but according to the report, all 5 puppets specializes in different things.)

(And to add even more problems is the fact that we still don't know how many monsters are out there...)

*Sigh*

"Yeb…. This will be definitely giant pain in the ass."
