Kaiser's outrageous statements made the camera flashes to intensify. His assistant's phone began to buzz with multiple calls. Many people were dialing Kaiser's number to get him off his madness, but he was the type that never stops whenever his mind was made up to create chaos.
Lots of comments were also coming from people watching the livestream through social media, condemning the dragon clan for wanting to eat their own. Even if the two brothers prosper, won't the glory still belong to the dragon clan? Why do they want to kill him out of jealousy?
"Where did they send him?" Another asked. Kaiser smirked coldly and looked straight at the camera. His eyes were challenging, as if daring the dragon clan to guess his next move.
The hearts of everyone watching were beating, but each was for a different reason.
Some were watching with trepidation, terrified he would decide to burn the ropes and go up in flames, dragging everyone along.
Others in anticipation, waiting to catch more secrets about the revered dragon clan.
Kaiser suddenly smiled and raised his hand to call for his guards.
"That's all for today. Geo life pharmaceuticals never disappoint, keep choosing us."

Brent gritted his teeth noisily and switched off the television set. If he watched any more of Kaiser's conniving words, he might just vomit blood and die.
"He's definitely doing this intentionally." Brent's father said, sitting on a nearby chair. Old ginger was indeed spicier than new ginger. Unlike Brent who was nearly at the point of combustion, he maintained a level head.
"Not knowing what he's up to is indeed unfavorable to us. He could create such devastating damage within just a week. We have incurred losses worth billions and it's still increasing. We can't afford to lose our bonds in the pharmaceutical market right now." Brent whispered, finally forcing himself to calm down.
"You should not be too angry. At least, we took precautions and nipped the thorn in the bud. The drug was discovered by Anthony, and luckily for us, he's already dead. Assuming he was still alive, creating more drugs and programming more games and software, we would truly have a lot of problems on our hands. Anthony is dead, let's just hope that the two formulas were all he left before entering the perilous lands." Their father whispered, trying to console them.
Sure enough, the thought that Anthony was killed before he could cause lots of trouble comforted them somehow, letting them keep their calm.
"Brent, what are we going to do now?" Laycon asked, his brows furrowed in thoughts.
"Leo, you have to be vigilant in tech and electronics. If Kaiser also knocks us off the tech market, then we will lose our foothold. You should pay serious attention to your subsidiary, and ensure that we are not taken unawares. We just took out five hundred million from the dragon clan's purse. And now that Kaiser is alive and well after all we spent, the elders might ask for the money to be returned to the treasury. We need to be prepared. Leo, do you have any thoughts?" Brent asked, turning to Leo.
There was no expression on Leo's face, and his eyes had a hint of complicated emotions in them.
Leo shook his head once, making Brent disappointed. Leo was the brain of the business. He was hoping that he had a genius advice that could salvage the situation. For years, it has been him holding the fort with Leo in the background holding him up. As for Laycon, only minor matters were assigned to him.
"We need to get our hands on that formula. We can't let them produce those drugs exclusively. We should have a variant. As long as we get the formula, we can even produce one that is more effective than the initial version." Dave said, making everyone turn to him. Everyone—except Leo.
"How are we supposed to find the formula? Even their laboratory didn't have access to it, making everyone only discover it when it was already too late." Laycon said hesitantly.
Everyone turned to Leo at that moment. He waited for a while but no one spoke, making him look up, only to see everyone watching him attentively. He frowned, and looked around. But everyone's eyes remained on him.
"What?" He finally barked out.
"How do we get the formula Kaiser used to produce those drugs?" Brent asked in a low voice.
"And why are you asking me that?" Leo clapped back, finally giving in to the frustration he had been holding back all week.
"Aren't you supposed to be the one in charge of gathering intelligence?" Laycon muttered.
"Are you mad?" Leo spat, unable to hold back anymore.
"You could try Rona…" Dave began.
"If you mention that name again, you won't like my reaction." Leo said coldly, making everyone surprised. They had never seen him so angry in the past.
"Try Rona? If you were Rona would you want to talk to me after everything that happened? She's not stupid you know. She only let her guard down because of trust, letting me do what I wanted. She doesn't talk to me anymore, she won't even blink if I pass her on the road. After everything that happened, you dare mention Rona to me. Have you forgotten about my finger?" Leo snarled, getting to his feet.
"Son, calm down. We can't afford infighting. We are the strongest when we bind together. Otherwise, the enemy will find a way to slip in. Let's not fall into Kaiser's trap." Their father whispered, raising his hands in surrender.
Leo laughed coldly.
"Are you just realizing it now? That we fell into Kaiser's trap? You all must be really dim witted if you're only just realizing it. The missing soul shards, the billions we spent on sorcerers, the timely release of the drugs, just when Rona completely severed bond with the rest of the dragon clan. How could it all be a coincidence? Are you so blind that you're only just seeing it?" He shouted, his eyes blazing with fury.
He gasped and continued.
"Kaiser knew that Rona was a weak link and he did everything in his power to seal up the weak link. Like a fool, you fell into his trap, dragging me with you, letting me lose a lot. Kaiser is so ruthless. Who is to say that he didn't intentionally make the soul shards fall into our hands? What if it was not a real soul shard but a magic skill that makes it look like one? Even if we discover that we were tricked, what could we do? Rant that he didn't give us a genuine soul shard? By then, Rona has discovered everything, feeling betrayed. Will she make such a costly mistake ever again? All she knows is that two of her brothers are at the point of death and that she helped the enemies do that. She's someone that values loyalty, do you think the guilt will ever ease up? Do you think things will return to the way it used to be? She could even chop off my finger without batting an eyelash. How much hatred do you think she's holding in? Rona is no longer that innocent girl. Just like Kaiser and the rest of us, she has turned into a dangerous, vengeful, and suspicious demon. Like the rest of us! Kaiser did it in one swoop, cutting Rona off from me and making us lose billions. We all did it. Why are you all just realizing it now?" He screamed, and smashed a vase against the wall.
"Leo, please calm down." Laycon whispered, trying to douse the fire. Leo turned to him with terrifying eyes, making chills run down his spine.
"Shut up, you buffon!" Leo said coldly, making everyone speechless. Leo was normally not disrespectful. He might be a little unfeeling, cold, arrogant and blunt. But insulting his brother using such a harsh tone was a new one.
Laycon gritted his teeth, trying to control his anger. After all, who asked him to be weaker than others? Even his youngest brother could wash him down as he pleased. Dragon clan follows the rule of the jungle, the weak suffers. Leo being his youngest brother was irrelevant. All he could do was lower his head.
"Leo, can we talk like reasonable people?" Brent asked, feeling exhausted.
"And when have we ever been reasonable? I'm done for today. Scratch that—I'm totally done. Find someone else to gather information and dirt for you. I won't play the dog anymore." He said, and turned to leave.
Brent quickly jumped to his feet and grabbed his arm to stop him.
"What do you mean? Where are you going? We are in the same boat, we live and sink together. Snap out of it, Leo. You're my blood brother for crying out loud."
"I know. I fucking know you're my brother. And I'm not leaving you, I will never abandon you no matter what happens. But at this point, I just need a break." Leo whispered as calmly as he could and pushed Brent away, making his way out of the room. He truly needed a break, he was at his breaking point, experiencing a kind of pain he never thought he was capable of feeling.
