My Favorite Game Followed Me!

Chapter 613

Anton's actions that night were the same as the previous nights. He summoned all of his summons and commanded them to protect the warriors of Mendoza that was stationed near the wall, and then he cast his spell nonstop until the undead horde retreated for that night. Once his shift was over, he immediately gave a Dire Wolf summoning tablet to Cedon, then he returned to his apartment immediately.

"Are you sure you can't add more tablets?" Cedon stopped Anton before he left, and he just rolled his eyes at the Supreme Wizard, then immediately left.

Thankfully, Cedon was young enough and good-natured enough that Anton could do some disrespectful action like rolling his eyes at the supreme wizard without earning the wizard's ire. What he did not know was that if other archmages did something like roll their eyes at Cedon, they would have received a spell on their faces immediately. The fact was, which Anton wasn't aware of, every Supreme Wizard in his squad was already treating him as a Supreme Wizard instead of an archmage. Anton's magical stamina alone was greater than some Supreme Wizards.

Once he was back at his apartment, the first thing that Anton did was spend two hours crafting Dire Wolf tablets. He wanted to have enough tablets that he could give one every day to Cedon for a week. After that, he ate a quick breakfast and then focused on his newly created ladder Assassin. By the time the day ended, his Assassin leveled up to level 40.

Regarding the item that he planned to transfer from inside his Diablo II system to real life, it would be the Magefist Light Gauntlets. At first, he thought of transferring a crafted glove, but Anton thought that the most valuable stat for the Sorceress in-game, which was FCR, wasn't useful in real life, and the plus to Fire Skills and regenerative mana would be much more useful to him.

During the next four days, Anton's routine remained the same. He would join his squad in defending the walls of Mendoza inside the long-range and magical strengthening array, making sure that, aside from casting all of his powerful Sorceress skills towards the undead horde, he would summon his summons every time they die.

Once the undead army retreated, he would then give a dire wolf summoning tablet to Cedon, then he would return home and focus on leveling up his ladder character inside his Diablo II system. After four days, he reached the maximum level for his ladder Assassin. He immediately transferred the Magefist Light Gauntlets from his Diablo II system to real life, and also, twenty percent of his ladder Assassin's main stat was transferred to him as well. He felt his power increasing, and Anton was sure that was the ladder season ended, he would reach the Supreme Rank.

On the fifth night that Anton was defending the wall, the increase in power of his spells was noticeable. The other wizards in his squad asked him, and Anton just gave the excuse that he benefited from his night spellcasting.

Every three days, he kept sending letters home, just to make sure that his father and his sister would know that he was okay. He did inform them that there might be some instances in which he wouldn't be able to send a letter, but they shouldn't worry because it just meant that he was busy. He assured them in his letter that if something truly dire happened, he could escape.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

Anders also sent him a letter every three days. His father's letters contained information about the manor, the status of their businesses, the increase in power that his father and his mercenaries earned, and even some normal gossip from the manor's nearby places.

Unfortunately for Anna, she was much too busy to write him letters all the time. Anna did tell him that she could probably be allowed to send him a letter once a month.

Surprisingly, all of his previous squad's dire wolves were still alive. Anton thought that they wouldn't last long.

After defending the wall for three weeks, he received some good news. Mendoza actually allowed him to have three days' vacation, after a week more, which was exactly one month after he started. Anton was just glad that Mendoza was treating him fairly. More than likely, it was because he declined to receive payments for his defense work and told the higher-ups that it was his duty to defend the kingdom from the undead. He even told Cedon that he did not need to receive payments for the dire wolf tablets and that they should give him golden tablets with the same weight and measurements as the tablets that he had already completed.

During the three days, he planned to rush home by flying to meet with his family. He should be able to return to Mendoza within the allotted break they gave him. Going home would allow him to renew the magic in the garden and the orchard. His presence at home would also reassure his father, sister, and the rest of the family that he was safe.

After seven days, it was finally time for his vacation. During the week before his vacation days arrived, Anton managed to level up his ladder Barbarian and transferred a Stone of Jordan from inside his Diablo II system into the real world, and also twenty percent of the ladder Barbarian's main stat was transferred to his actual real-life stats. Because of the increase in power that he received from reaching the maximum level of another two ladder characters, Anton felt that he might not need to complete the three sets of leveling up ladder characters for the current ladder before he reached the Supreme Rank. Just two sets of the seven characters might be enough.

Before he left for home, he visited his previous squad to inform them of the vacation time given to him.

"Just three days? That's not enough for you to return home!" Menard said.

"Well, I will not be walking but will be flying instead. I think that would be enough for me to return home in just a few hours."

After he said his goodbyes, he immediately teleported to the East Gates of Mendoza, and as soon as he was out of the kingdom, he flew as fast as he could towards the kingdom of Ormunda.

Flying continuously, even without stopping for meals, allowed Anton to reach Ormunda before the sun had set, but he did leave Mendoza at around six in the morning, and he continuously added speed to his flying by casting the Arctic Blas spell nonstop behind him. He felt like a jet plane flying in the sky.

When he arrived at the Rose Manor, thankfully, his father was there and was very surprised that he was home.

"How come you're back?!" Anders asked.

"I was given three days' leave!" Anton joyfully said while hugging his father.

After everyone welcomed him home, they all celebrated by having a feast that night. Then Anders and he talked for several hours inside his father's office. Anton did not even care that Anders just basically repeated what he wrote in his letters.

The good news was that, in the month that Anton was gone, his father truly became powerful. The Insight Runeword item helped Anders and his other mercenaries to level up extremely quickly.

"So do you think Mendoza would be able to survive the undead's attacks?" Anders asked.

"I really don't know, Father. But in my opinion, Mendoza should stop being passive and should start attacking the undead. That's the only way to truly drive the undead away from the Gale continent."
