Chapter 1041: No Way to Dodge

With a fierce roar, Yi Tian finally snapped out of his daze. Flames swirled and burned in front of him, gnawing at his body. However, the silver light on his body was countering the attack of the red figure. Even in a state of absent-mindedness, Yi Tian wasn't easily taken down. The spot where he was struck moments ago throbbed with faint pain; his eyes widened in anger, and he slapped forward. A silver light shot out from his palm, shattering the incoming flames.

His body halted, then bent, his right foot stomped forcefully, and his left leg kicked out. The series of actions flowed seamlessly, leaving no time for the red figure in front of him to react. The kick shattered the flames around the red figure, then firmly struck the person, giving Yi Tian a sensation of utmost solidity, causing him to roar out loud.

With power driving his left leg, the red figure transformed into a red bullet, kicked away by Yi Tian. Without any pause, leveraging the recoil from his attack, he spun his body, sank into a crouch, and propelled off the ground with all four limbs. He glanced upward at the blue figure in the air, then suddenly launched himself like a cannonball directly at the blue silhouette.

A bang resounded as he shattered the air, clouds of mist appearing at the spot where Yi Tian had been. An elongated trail of silver flame streaked across the night sky, dazzlingly bright.

The blue figure, upon hearing the bang, realized something was wrong and urgently tried to distance himself from Yi Tian. As a Wind Element Superpower User, he excelled in long-range attacks, not close-quarters combat. If Yi Tian got close, it would spell his doom. As he moved, he saw a silver light brush past him, followed by a sharp pain in his back, sending him plummeting to the ground.

He hadn't seen how Yi Tian made his move, nor did he know when he was hit. By the time he noticed, he had already crashed hard into the ground. The dust blocked his vision, and the intense pain from his back almost made him vomit blood. Dazed, he tried to get up, but before he could, he heard a thud and was lifted and tossed away.

It wasn't the wind ability lifting him but someone grabbing and throwing him. The scenery sped past rapidly; he wanted to control his body but the force was immense. Even manipulating the wind around him couldn't resist that power. As he worried about how to regain control, he suddenly crashed into something.

Flames erupted behind him. Without turning, the blue figure knew what he had collided with. Searing pain shot through his back, yet he couldn't alleviate it. Tangled with the red figure, they rolled backward until the force dissipated, bringing them both to a stop.

Just a few exchanges, and the two had already suffered greatly at Yi Tian's hands. This made them realize Yi Tian wasn't as simple as reported.

"Thunder General, attack," the blue figure leapt from the ground, soaring into the air. Meanwhile, the red figure roared fiercely, charging at Yi Tian.

A fiery temper was almost a common trait among all Fire Element Superpower Users. However, some could still analyze the situation rationally when enraged. Clearly, this Fire Element Superpower User belonged to that category. Though he seemed to recklessly charge at Yi Tian, he flung a dozen fireballs forward, attempting to disrupt Yi Tian's judgment.

Unfortunately, he thought too simply, or rather, underestimated Yi Tian's madness.

With a malicious grin, Yi Tian growled lowly. Seeing the red figure rushing at him, he charged without hesitation. He paid no mind to the fireballs heading his way, allowing them to crash into the silver light around him, creating ripples. His sole focus was on confronting the red figure and knocking him away.

A wild beast, an absolutely crazed beast.

This side of Yi Tian wasn't mentioned in any reports. Whether in past or recent reports, Yi Tian was always described as cautious and powerful, yet lacking in aggression. But this Yi Tian showed none of that restraint, acting like a ferocious predator, the fiercest kind.

Watching his fireballs shatter one by one, unable to hinder Yi Tian or distract him, the red figure grew fearful. Yet he knew that fear in battle was tantamount to signing his own death warrant, so he quickly quashed that fear.

It was unclear if to mask his fear or demonstrate his power, the red figure let out a roar. The flames on his body flared up fiercely, then condensed, covering him like scarlet armor. With a sudden burst of speed, the red figure lunged, drawing a short-handled warhammer from his waist, enveloped in flames, crafted especially for him.

The flames wound around the warhammer, and its engraved patterns were bizarre to the extreme. While it was a modern creation, it exuded an ancient aura. This breath of antiquity spread, inexplicably giving the red figure an aged, weathered feel. At that moment, he seemed to transcend time, standing before Yi Tian, his warhammer humming dully with a fervent desire for battle.

With a low cry, the red figure swung his hammer, launching a red hammer shadow. The flame-encircled shadow expanded to two meters, then halted. Following the red figure's movements, it descended upon Yi Tian. Whoosh, the hammer shadow swung, carrying a wind pressure, halting Yi Tian's forward advance.

As the hammer shadow fell, it burst, scattering flames, the earth trembling. Under such an assault, surely Yi Tian would retreat, they thought. Yet surprisingly, Yi Tian held his ground beneath the hammer shadow, enduring the blow. Not that he didn't want to retreat, but he couldn't. The energy from the hammer shadow rooted him, forcing him into a direct confrontation.

As the immaterial hammer shadow struck Yi Tian, it turned almost solid, the weight sinking his feet into the ground. His raised hands gleamed with silver light, resisting the surging fire from the hammer. Amidst this, Yi Tian wore a chilling smile, a crazed grin that sent shivers.

The red figure, not far from Yi Tian, clearly saw the eerie smile. It chilled him, altering his movements. To mask his fear, the red figure roared, gripping the warhammer, swinging repeatedly as if whacking moles, hammering down on Yi Tian.

Bang bang bang bang bang, the sounds erupted, flames scattered, tumultuous currents making footing impossible. Fortunately, no one besides the four of them was around; otherwise, even these few exchanges would have reaped countless souls.

Continuing to hold his arms up, enduring the relentless hammer shadows, Yi Tian was driven further into the ground with each strike. It wasn't that he didn't want to dodge; he simply couldn't. The hammer shadow oddly locked onto him, preventing any escape.

Even iron will bend under such continuous assault; a trickle of blood at his mouth, yet Yi Tian's grin only widened. Such an attack seemed incapable of causing him any major harm, his silver-glowed eyes fixating fiercely on the red figure opposite, the bloodlust in them almost tangible.
