Chapter 1442: Sky Shadow's Decision

The orc mission primarily focused on detecting energy reactions, and discovering a human settlement was an unexpected surprise. Little did they expect the presence of the Titan Elves near the star domain, a piece of valuable intelligence that would yield significant returns for them.

"We're so grateful for the surprises today. Thanks to you, Queen of the Elves."

Elysis scoffed, responding with a cold stare.

Unfortunately, on the ground, Titan Elves could not adapt to the gravity in the short term, even the royal combat power would be greatly reduced. In space, she could easily crush two orcs with her feet.

The trouble present threw Elysis into a complete predicament, as escape was impossible and facing them two-to-one even more so. After brief contemplation, she decided to temporarily bide her time and look for an opportunity.

The orc warrior warned Elysis, "You'd better behave and not think about resisting. Any meaningless struggle will only lead to your early demise."

"I've been captured by you guys, how could I escape?"

"Let's hope so."

The orc warrior snorted coldly, fully aware of the high intelligence of the Elf Queen.

Whish, whish, whish...

While the three were talking, a sudden gust rose in the distance, large stones accompanied by a sky full of sand and dust crashed down violently.

With the initial impact extinguished, the residual shock waves from the Fate Star explosion finally swept forth... spreading rapidly... leaving no grass alive, with wind speeds reaching hundreds of meters per second, painting a chilling scene.

The three looked in the direction with lingering fear, somewhat bewildered, "This level of force can tear a person apart, definitely not a natural phenomenon. Could it be that the Lord has arrived?"

Another orc said, "It's very possible. Such temperate zone star clusters are uncommon and very suitable for exploitation."

"Who is this 'Lord' you speak of?" Elysis interjected suddenly.

"Of course, it's the Devourer King, Lord Hasten Ressenbor."

Upon hearing this, Elysis's mind was like struck by lightning, covering her cherry lips with a slender hand, shock evident on her face—it was the fabled Devouring Beast.

"Fool, don't say too much. She's trying to get information out of us. Contacting the Lord is our priority now."

Not long after the orc warrior sent a signal, an oval device approached the twin stars at a speed several times faster than that of human shuttles, in a shape similar to the human-known flying saucer.

As it approached the twin stars, the flying saucer significantly slowed down. Among the walking Blade Warriors, those with keen vision could vaguely discern the shape of the flying saucer.

As a bounty hunter, Xiu Yi's spiritual perception was very sharp. He paused slightly in his steps and said, "This aircraft's operating principle is beyond human knowledge."

"Did you get a clear look at its shape?"

"Very vague."

Undoubtedly, Xiu Yi did not see clearly, but he explained that he caught a detail, so tentatively, let's call it a flying saucer. This flying saucer had a distinct operating principle, akin to centripetal rotation.

"Are you sure?"

Kevin stepped forward, patting his chest, "Xiu Yi's dynamic capture is excellent, I can vouch for it."

"He's right, I also got a glimpse. This flying saucer is silver-white, and its shape is somewhat similar to Zhepo."

Hearing Bai Zhexian say the same, the Blade Warrior looked at Feng Luo, since he came from a Parallel Dimension, perhaps he'd seen something like it. However, Feng Luo shook his head, saying he'd never even heard of anything like flying saucers in their dimension.

"No, that's not it."

The Blade Warrior shook his head hurriedly, feeling vaguely that he'd heard of it somewhere, though his thoughts just couldn't connect at the moment.

With constant recollection, finally, a few minutes later, the Blade Warrior snapped his fingers sharply, "Got it."

As the others were still talking, they suddenly froze, "What have you got?"

"The flying saucer, I remembered."

The Blade Warrior declared that the flying saucer originated from the Elephant Civilization, a story Feng Yi had heard from Allen and related to her.

It was also said that the Elephant Civilization used this technology for interstellar travel.

She then bent down and sketched the general outline on the ground, vividly and in detail making a reference to the Elephant Civilization's flying saucers, "Is it like this?"

Well... Xiu Yi and Bai Zhexian exchanged glances, nodding in succession, it seemed quite similar, perhaps almost like this, indeed.

"Hehe, then it's unmistakable."

The crowd was astonished...

"What kind of civilization are they?" Jiu Ling asked.

"We'll talk as we walk." The Blade Warrior stood straight and said, "In short, they are far more advanced than humans, reaching the end stage of early civilization, a truly peace-loving and friendly race. Perhaps it's because of the Bizarre that they came here."

"Bizarre?"

"Yes, simply put, end-stage civilizations can wander every corner of the galaxy, with a 100% utilization rate of star resources. They have been observing humanity for a long time and intervening when necessary to prevent humans from being prematurely destroyed by cosmic events."

"Should we go over?"

"Good idea, just in the same direction as Sky Shadow, I agree with Feng Luo's view."

The Blade Warrior's thinking was clear. Sky Shadow was one aspect, and if this flying saucer came from the Elephant Civilization, they could gather clues from the remnants upon its departure, which would greatly aid humanity's future and have far-reaching impacts.

The flying saucer skimmed overhead, leaving a faint and elusive aura.

Sky Shadow seemed to sense something, fingers twitching slightly, and his fainted brain suddenly revived, feeling a burning pain permeating his body. He struggled to his feet on the barren ground, starting to inspect his surroundings...

What he saw was bleak, empty surroundings, with nothing but wasteland remaining.

At this moment, Sky Shadow didn't know whether to feel happy or sad, perhaps a mix of both. Since he was not dead, it indicated that the Bizarre had stopped that attack—what concerned him was that ominous aura from earlier, it was strong and dangerous.

One could say the aura released by the flying saucer, although weak, could not evade Sky Shadow's current sensitivity. Even at a distance, he could sense it. Having trained for a long time in the Mirror World, Sky Shadow's perception differed greatly from that of ordinary people.

No matter who came, he first needed to observe a bit, adhering to the principle of being utterly foolproof, he decided to follow quickly.

In the next moment, Sky Shadow's heart skipped a beat, looking incredulously towards the lake shore...

After the Fate Star explosion baptism, the lake shore was evidently dried up. What concerned him was not the lake shore, but the faint aura emanating from beneath it.

Having borne the full force of the Fate Star explosion, the Bizarre was not dead, this...?

Based on the current situation, in a one-on-one duel he would definitely die, but now there were two paths to take.

First: Find the Blade Warriors, have everyone escape immediately. His light transmission ability had been left with Kexiao earlier, and with the shuttle crashed, they couldn't traverse star systems like Feng Yi.

Second: Investigate the unknown existence, this thing's danger seemed no less than the Bizarre, perhaps even more frightening.

Sky Shadow never hesitated. With thoughts flipping, he made a decision to continue the investigation, having no choice but to do so. While the Bizarre had not yet completely broken free, he had to swiftly withdraw.
