Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 123 Crisis Sense of Feng Yi_1

Playing the role of the good cop, Feng Yi did not sit well with the surrounding students. They had the impression that he was the real boss. Was this an illusion? Compared to his smile, they would rather see a stern instructor. It was only when he departed that the area felt liberated.

Feng Yi maintained order without a care, seemingly transforming in boredom... but his mind was consumed by an inexplicable crisis that came out of nowhere.

He felt something was off about the lesson but couldn't pinpoint the problem.

Transforming an ordinary person into a capable soldier within three months was, to some extent, quite abrupt. Traditionally, it used to take half a year in the academy, but the spread of war had hastened the training process.

Wind Thunder had no better solution. After all, attending a military academy and being a soldier were entirely different. A large part of the students were likely future battlefield commanders whose knowledge far exceeded that of normal soldiers.

While walking around, Feng Yi happened to see Sheng Qiangwei. Yes, even Sheng Qiangwei, a model student, was diligently discussing professional knowledge with a student next to her during class. It all seemed so natural.

Feng Yi was startled! He suddenly realized something.

"Sheng Qiangwei."

"What? Feng, I mean, Instructor…" Sheng Qiangwei quickly turned to respond upon hearing his voice. She turned away immediately after, as if unwilling to look at Feng Yi. She hadn't forgotten about that day's incident; in fact, it was engraved even deeper in her memory.

Feng Yi asked with slight confusion, "Why are you whispering here?"

"Huh? Whispering? I'm discussing coursework. Isn't it allowed?"

"Yes, didn't the instructors mention it when you entered the building?"

"Well..."

"It's fine. I just want to know the reason."

Sheng Qiangwei couldn't figure out why Feng Yi singled her out amidst the crowd of chattering students - because they were more familiar? No, Feng Yi wasn't that kind of a person - he must have had a reason. Sheng Qiangwei, however, was visibly annoyed, with a pout on her face - she suddenly felt like infuriating Feng Yi.

"Hmph! Why should you question me when everyone else around is talking? That's ridiculous, I have nothing to say."

"I think you should reconsider your attitude."

"No, I won't. This is my attitude."

"Are you… serious?"

"Yes, so what?"

Feng Yi felt like he was about to pass out. Why had the normally sensible Sheng Qiangwei become so unreasonable? As an instructor, Feng Yi had the right to give Sheng Qiangwei a lesson on ideological and political theory. However, after looking at her deeply, he just shook his head and left…

Caught off guard, Sheng Qiangwei watched as he walked away. She had always seen Feng Yi as someone who wouldn't take a loss - shouldn't he have retorted? When she remembered his chest heaving, Sheng Qiangwei felt an unexplainable pain in her heart. Had he really gotten angry? Was her intention to catch his attention too far? Sheng Qiangwei wasn't even sure where her irritation had come from earlier. As she continued to grit her teeth, she still couldn't muster her courage to call after him.

The surrounding people looked over at them with strange views. She had the audacity to confront an instructor?

In reality, Feng Yi was indeed upset by Sheng Qiangwei's irrational attitude. He remembered her as a reasonable girl. He wasn't aimlessly walking around; he was secretly observing each student's reaction in the class.

He observed that this batch of proud students, equipped with the courage to face death on the battlefield - or, should we say, their awakening - had not changed much since the start of school. At first, Feng Yi couldn't find the root cause, but then he noticed a sudden shift in the top-performing student. That was when he realized what was missing.

The purpose of Feng Yi asking Sheng Qiangwei was simple. He just needed her to explain herself. Had she forgotten the discipline of the military academy? Such behaviour from her seemed trivial but was indeed a terrible hidden danger.

By then, he was wide awake! Wind Thunder was a famous military school in the Federation that upheld traditions. It had never before admitted new students in a hurry. Compressing training from half a year to a quarter did enhance the military expertise of every soldier to an extent, but it overlooked the importance of discipline, which was common in a peaceful era but critical in a time of war.

The combat power of an armed unit often depends on its unity, execution power, and up-to-date battlefield knowledge. Discipline plays a vital role in that. Seemingly insignificant flaws could become a unit's fatal weakness on the battlefield.

In just three months, the fighting strength of each soldier might grow rapidly. Perhaps, with the unrelenting training, they might be shaped into a formidable warrior capable of leading.

Regrettably, it is not an era of personal heroism. When a loose unit meets one with high executive capability, their individual combat abilities often exceed the enemy's. However, victory will never be theirs. The reason is simple; a military unit that doesn't stress teamwork is like a militia.

However, the students could not fully digest and de-stress from this process in the short term. As a result, their subconsciousness would categorize military training as the leading part of their education. This coincided with the temporary direction of Wind Thunder, which perhaps even Wind Thunder itself hadn't realized the severity of the issue.

At noon when the basic doctoral lessons were finally over, Feng Yi kicked open the door to the Dean's Office, to find it empty. Seeing no other option, the bachelor grabbed an orange and left quickly…

Weirbo had left instructions that if he wasn't present, they were to find Zi Mou. Thus, Feng Yi decided to first take a trip to the Disciplinary Committee.

A moment later, with a clanging sound, Feng Yi arrived. The Disciplinary Committee's door was kicked open in the same fashion. Feng Yi hoped to properly reorganize the afternoon's practical class if there was still time, so he didn't give the issue much thought.

Normally, who would dare to do this? Even the veterans would knock and report before entering.

However, the situation was different for Instructor Feng Yi. As much as Zi Mou was just a student, even if her standing as a substitute teacher was taken into account, they were still on the same level.

What truly troubled the Disciplinary Committee members was not this point, but Feng Yi's strength. The military academy respected strength, and this man was a boss through and through. Did he hold a grudge because of the challenge and planned to set up his own Disciplinary Committee to challenge them? The invisible aura of was intimidating. However, on second thought, it made no sense - the Disciplinary Committee was directly under Wind Thunder.

"Is Zi Mou here?"
