Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 124: Diamond Medal 2nd Class_1

The visitor was Feng Yi, a man whose presence carried no scent of military discipline, but was immune from punishment. The discipline committee members, who itched to chastise him, found themselves short of breath. They decided to pretend they hadn't noticed him.

Even so, Rebecca, while eating, transparently informed his senior could not be reached outside, and that he would have to wait. This was an indirect endorsement of Feng Yi's presence.

15 minutes later, Zi Mou arrived unexpectedly. Spotting Feng Yi leaning diagonally on the exterior corridor, she flashed a look of puzzlement across her cool and detached face. As she passed him by, Feng Yi stopped her, "Hold on."

"You are waiting for me." Flipping around gracefully, Zi Mou fixed her sparkling eyes on Feng Yi, studying him intently.

"Yes, the dean is not here, and I have some personal suggestions that I would like you to convey to him."

Hearing Feng Yi speak, Zi Mou seemed a little surprised. Initially, she regarded Feng Yi as nothing more than a martial artist - what good would raw power alone do for a freshman? However, comprehensive analysis from multiple sources revealed Feng Yi to be much more. Zi Mou realized his intellect was sharp, flexible, and unconventional. His style was unique and personable, and he quickly established a bond with his students. His military literacy was no less than hers - all evident in the way he had dealt with the copy instance.

Curiosity piqued, Zi Mou wondered what this unpredictable person would say. What could be so alarming that she should take it seriously?

Feng Yi wasted no time, organizing his thoughts briefly before speaking his mind.

Zi Mou found it amusing at first, but as Feng Yi elaborated, connecting each point with an underlying deep-layered logic, even the stoic Zi Mou's face took on a hint of seriousness!

Feng Yi's concerns were not baseless. His keen insight had already identified that there loomed a hidden problem: a snowball that continued to grow over time, until one day, it would become an unspoken issue to all. His keen insights had already smelled something fishy.

"I will inform the dean about this matter," Zi Mou replied.

"Thank you for your time," Feng Yi said.

Gazing at Feng Yi's retreating figure, Zi Mou smoothed out her hair. She felt a little bewildered. His observations were surprisingly sharp. Indeed, she should not regard him merely as an ordinary student.

No sooner had lunch break concluded than the original course arrangement was abruptly altered. It had caught everyone off guard.

Weirbo, who had hastily returned to Wind Thunder, hurriedly convened a meeting. Even Zi Mou was summoned to the conference room. The war situation between Lipton Star Domain and Big Macs had become increasingly dire. According to instructions from the capital military department, Grand and Annie's fleet would support the Star Wars in Lipton's Star Domain the following month. This was top-secret - only a select few were privy to it.

It was well known that this year, to fill the ladder-style recruitment vacancy, Wind Thunder's admission was earlier than usual. The impending war pressured everyone, and in the scarcity of time, it was impossible for Wind Thunder to design a perfect fast-food training system.

For now, whether good or bad, everyone in Wind Thunder was subject to a high level of training, and would not suffer disadvantage when they reached the battlefield. However, the aspect of collective coordination had been overlooked.

It was Zi Mou's urgent Heavenly Communication which woke Weirbo to the crisis! Without Zi Mou's keen sense, by the time they entered the professional training stage in two months, it would be too late. Weirbo immediately commended Zi Mou for her insights and awarded her a Diamond Second Class Medal in a non-public manner.

Zi Mou bit her lips. She hated the old man's sneakiness. Why had he summoned her to the meeting room without warning? She'd intended to tell Weirbo the reason after the meeting ended. After all, she cared about maintaining face in front of so many generals.

However, when the Diamond Second Class medal was awarded, Zi Mou was no longer able to hold back. She hadn't stooped so low as to flaunt someone else's merit for her own.

"Dean, I... I have something to say," she blurted out.

"Young people nowadays, cannot wait. You can't bear even a moment?" the dean laughed.

With that, the surrounding generals laughed heartily. Zi Mou was indeed the hope of the United States. If it hadn't been for the political complexity of Texas, he would have loved to keep Zi Mou in Wind Thunder.

Grand complained, "I've been in the army for so many years and I haven't seen a Diamond Second Class medal."

"Dean, the report was proposed by instructor Feng Yi," said Zi Mou.

All the people looked at each other, realizing there had been a big misunderstanding. Some of the civilian officials had never even heard of this title.

"What did you say, Zi Mou?"

"The report was proposed by Feng Yi. He tried to find you first, but you were not on campus, and then…" Zi Mou couldn't finish her sentence.

Weirbo slammed his hand upon his desk, not taking into account Zi Mou's feelings. "Quick, call that kid here for a report."

After a while, there was a sudden report from outside the door.

"Enter."

The people looked curiously at the newcomer. Was this young face the rumored child who was raised by Lasso? He indeed looked talented.

His hair was black and his handsome face harmonized perfectly with his firm and unyielding spirit. His clear eyes resembled the penetrating stars - bright and dazzling. Although his figure was moderate, one could sense an endless burst of energy from within him. His aura appeared ordinary, yet within the ordinary, there was a hint of remarkable distinction. His modest temperament lent him an additional touch of courage and bravery.

If Zi Mou was considered the dazzling princess of the younger generation, then Feng Yi was the dark assassin wandering in the deep night. His tranquillity was so overwhelming that when compared to ordinary people, no difference could be discerned—only upon careful observation could one find what set him apart.

"Young man, put this on." Weirbo walked forward, grinning and pinned a crooked medal on Feng Yi: "In view of your contribution, it has been unanimously decided by the school to award you the Diamond Second-Class Medal."

Fuck, what decision? It was all decided by Weirbo himself. The old man wanted to say something but had already said it all to Zi Mou. Repeating it would turn the occasion into a farce.

The generals around him looked at Feng Yi enviously. His future indeed looked promising. If it weren't for the standing presence of Weirbo preventing them from speaking, they would have eagerly rushed to get him on their side.

"Feng Yi, have you thought about joining the air warship fleet?" asked Captain Annie.

The speaker was the captain of the Annie, a general who was the pride of Alpha, the fragrant flower at the ball, and a star student. It appeared that she had not aged much over the years. In contrast, it was time for this gorgeous flower to blossom.

Weirbo was not in a position to refute Annie's words. A number of high-ranking generals competed for her favor. Even the dean was afraid of offending people.
