Sixth Ring Wizard

Chapter 250: Boarding the Airship

Herag, with his experiences from a previous world, naturally understood that behind any industrial product was a combination of multiple technologies.

This airship encapsulated an unknown number of technological systems.

With the current situation in the Barren Land, it is feared that for many years to come, there will be no ability to manufacture this kind of airship.

The gap between the Land of Dawn and the Barren Land was unmistakably revealed just by this airship.

Herag recalled his experiences at Base 27, and it was no wonder those Wizards didn't even have the thought to converse with him.

In their view, the three Wizards from the Barren Land were probably akin to primitives.

"Shenlan, record all data regarding the airship in detail." Herag issued the command.

"Task archived, recording relevant data."

When the airship reached the front of Black Rock Valley, it slowly descended, and Herag's group moved to the valley entrance to assess the situation.

Only then did they fully experience the enormity of the airship, like a moving fortress.

Herag and the others stood at the entrance of the valley, not rushing to leave.

Inside the valley, there was a Witch Array for protection, which could shield them in case of any special circumstances.

The airship didn't land directly on the ground but hovered a hundred meters above the surface.

From below, traces of people coming and going could be seen above, and a figure stood at the rail, glanced down, then stepped into the air, descending like a feather.

The one who descended seemed to be a man in his thirties, dressed in a black robe.

After floating down to the ground, he glanced at the crowd at the Black Rock Valley entrance and said, "Is Herag Merlin living here?"

Herag spoke up, "That's me."

The man glanced at Herag, nodded, and said, "I am Pries from Serlandir, ordered by Lord Parker to bring you to the Land of Dawn. According to Lord Parker's orders, you may bring your family as well as David Cheqi and Reese Cheqi to the Land of Dawn."

Herag turned to look at David and Reese, who came over, realizing it was time to depart.

Chatiya and Asuna stood at a corner in the back.

This was Herag trying to prevent Chatiya's identity from being exposed, instructing them not to show themselves.

Chatiya already had tears in her eyes, watching Herag and the group, while Asuna comforted her from the side.

In fact, Asuna was even more reluctant to part with Herag than Chatiya.

Having been together for so long, Asuna couldn't bear to temporarily leave Herag's side.

But Asuna knew this was unavoidable, so despite her inner sadness, she showed nothing of it.

Pries spoke, "If you are ready, you can come with me now. If not, we will stay here for three days."

"No need, we've been ready for a long time, we can leave at any time," Herag replied.

"Then come with me," Pries said with a smile.

Herag nodded, turned to look at Black Rock Valley, and saw Chatiya crying in the distance, with Asuna holding her and waving a small hand at him.

He waved back with a reassuring smile for Asuna.

Chatiya raised her head, pouted, swallowed back her tears, and waved to Herag.

Herag waved, then turned to leave, with David and Reese following behind.

Blake also followed behind, ready to see the three of them off.

"It's just the three of you, no one else?" Pries confirmed finally.

"Yes, that's right," Herag responded.

David and Reese were not planning to bring their families for the time being, intending to wait until they established themselves before considering it.

For the entire Cheqi Family, they were the pioneers in the Land of Dawn.

Pries nodded, then said, "Let's go then."

With a wave of his hand, a breeze appeared, lifting Herag and the two others.

Then, Pries, along with the three, floated up, flying higher and higher.

Looking down, Herag saw Blake gazing at him, as the ground grew further away and Blake's figure became smaller.

Pries led the three to the third deck of the airship, and once they landed, he said, "Mission accomplished, we will start our return now, expected to reach Serlandir in about a month."

He then walked into the cabin, saying, "Let's go, it's windy outside, let's talk inside."

The three followed Pries inside; after passing through a narrow passage, their view opened up.

They entered a place that looked like a lounge, large like a hall.

Sofas were irregularly placed all around, each with a small table in front of it.

The room was luxuriously decorated, with a gramophone in the corner playing soft music.

Pries found a spot by the wall with a window, through which the outside scenery was directly visible.

They sat down there, and Herag glanced at the window; it wasn't made of glass but was very transparent, an unknown material.

Pries waved his hand, and a kettle from the distant counter floated over to the table, followed by four cups.

Pries opened the kettle, and steam rose, followed by the aroma of coffee.

He poured a cup of coffee for each of the three, finally pouring one for himself.

"Thank you, Mr. Pries!" The three quickly expressed their thanks.

They had already realized that Pries was a Level 2 Wizard.

But Pries didn't have the airs of a Level 2 Wizard at all, being very approachable.

The three had encountered many Level 2 Wizards at Base 27, but none were willing to engage with them.

"Let me first introduce the basic situation of the Land of Dawn, then if you have any questions, feel free to ask me, how does that sound?" Pries suggested.

"Please go ahead, sir," the three naturally had no objections.

Pries nodded, took a sip of coffee, and said, "Let's first talk about the Barren Land. The Barren Land is actually just a corner of the Kala Continent near the sea. North of the Barren Land lies the Ten Thousand Mountains as a natural barrier, and beyond them is the Land of Dawn."

"The Land of Dawn is made up of the Six Great Wizard Organizations, of which Serlandir is one."

"Within each Wizard Organization's sphere of influence, there are many cities, both big and small, inhabited by many people."

"Within Serlandir's sphere, there are twenty-three cities, all managed and ruled by Serlandir."

"The structure of Serlandir is quite simple; at the top level is the council, consisting of three members. You must remember their names, as they are the highest rulers of Serlandir and are powerful Level 4 Wizards."
