Sixth Ring Wizard

Chapter 249: Airship

"I like it?" Herag couldn't help but laugh.

It sounded as if he liked wearing them.

Chatiya innocently poked her head over, "Asuna sister, what kind of clothes are these? They look strange."

Asuna blushed, "Let's not talk about this..."

Herag smiled and interrupted, "Chatiya, tonight I'm sleeping with Asuna, where will you sleep? We only have this one room."

"Ah? I... I'll sleep with you guys too." Chatiya said.

Herag and Asuna exchanged a glance, both seeing the helplessness in each other's eyes.

Herag glanced at the bed, it was large enough to fit all of them.

They could rest well tonight, as it had been a bit exhausting over the last few days.

...

After staying at White Fang Castle for over twenty days, the group returned to Black Rock Valley.

During this period, Herag spent his days with Asuna and Chatiya, exploring, eating, and having fun at White Fang Castle.

At night, he focused on his meditation practice, with the twenty-first star in his mind gradually taking shape.

Reese and David also arrived at Black Rock Valley, making the previously quiet castle lively again.

They planned to join Herag to travel to the Land of Dawn through Serlandir's connections.

Reese quickly became close friends with Asuna and Chatiya, the three women mingling together every day and forming strong bonds.

Several times, the three of them shared one room, leaving Herag alone in an empty room.

Half a month later.

Blake came to the castle to find Herag, took out a ring, and said, "Herag, inside here are one hundred thousand magic stones, a token of sincerity from the Cheqi Family."

"One hundred thousand magic stones? That's more than just a token of sincerity."

Herag didn't expect the Cheqi Family to be so generous.

Though they were wealthy, one hundred thousand magic stones was a significant amount, not easily gathered in a short time.

Being able to offer him one hundred thousand magic stones showed the Cheqi Family's resolve in placing a heavy bet on Herag.

"It's just magic stones. The higher-ups in the Cheqi Family all have high hopes for you. We hope you can go far in the Land of Dawn. You'll definitely need magic stones there initially." Blake laughed.

Herag smiled wryly, "You all have such high expectations for me, it gives me a lot of pressure."

Blake nodded and said, "The Land of Dawn won't be easy to navigate, but as long as you're as cautious as you are now, there shouldn't be any big issues. Also, are you planning to take Asuna and Chatiya with you, or are they staying here for now?"

Herag pondered for a moment; he had been considering this question recently.

Chatiya and Asuna both signed master-servant contracts with him, which made them his personal possessions and thus could be taken to the Land of Dawn according to regulations.

However, Asuna and Chatiya were both Third Class Wizard Apprentices, which was decent strength in the Barren Land.

But upon entering the Land of Dawn, such strength might not even be enough for self-defense.

Most importantly, Herag didn't yet understand the situation over in the Land of Dawn.

It was filled with too many unknowns for him.

If any trouble arose, Herag might struggle to protect himself, let alone take care of Chatiya and Asuna.

Moreover, Chatiya's identity was somewhat sensitive. A royal elf was an exploitable identity for wizards involved in frontier wars.

If Chatiya's identity were exposed, Herag doubted he could keep her safe.

At least until he had enough strength, there were many things beyond his control.

Therefore, Herag preferred not to take Chatiya and Asuna with him to the Land of Dawn until he had a clear understanding of the situation there.

With Asuna and Chatiya not present, he would have fewer concerns in handling matters.

Otherwise, many situations might leave him feeling constrained.

For Asuna and Chatiya, temporarily staying in Black Rock Valley was the safest and most prudent choice.

There were witch arrays guarding the place, making it difficult for wizards from the Barren Land to break through.

Herag spoke, "I've thought about it. I'll have them stay at Black Rock Valley for now. I'll need to trouble you to take care of them."

Blake nodded, "A wise choice, their safety is guaranteed by the Cheqi Family. We don't know much about the other side, and can't offer you much help, so leaving them here is the best solution."

Reese and David would accompany Herag, both being Level 1 Official Wizards, capable enough.

They could protect themselves to a certain extent, relieving Herag from having to focus too much on them.

After discussing some matters with Blake, Herag returned to the castle to inform Asuna and Chatiya of his plans.

Chatiya felt a bit disappointed, as she initially thought she could go out with Herag, but discovered she still needed to stay here longer.

Asuna seemed to have anticipated this, showing no change in her expression as she comforted Chatiya, "It's alright, Chatiya, I'll be here with you. Sir has no choice; if we go with him, it will create many concerns for him."

"Hmm." Chatiya understood the rationale, but couldn't help feeling somewhat reluctant.

Reese laughed behind her hand and leaned on Herag, "Don't worry, sisters, I'll take good care of him by Herag's side."

Asuna and Chatiya, aware of Reese's personality, rolled their eyes at her wordlessly.

...

A peaceful half-month elapsed.

Herag, along with Reese, Asuna, and Chatiya, was squatting in the Magic Potion Field, picking a grape called Black Crystal.

Black Crystal was a type of magic potion material that also tasted great and could be eaten as fruit, though it was quite expensive.

Buzz, buzz, buzz...

Herag suddenly heard a buzzing sound from outside. He looked up and saw a black dot emerging from the clouds in the distant sky.

Others in Black Rock Valley heard the sound too, looking up at the sky.

As the black dot drew closer, people gradually made out what it was.

It was a ship, an airship.

From afar, it appeared small, but as it approached, it became clear that the airship had seven full decks.

Both sides of the airship were equipped with what looked like cannons, similar to those found on seafaring ships.

The ones here were obviously not ordinary cannons; their appearance and aura were distinct.

As the airship got closer, the roar became louder, echoing throughout Black Rock Valley.

Blake tensed up immediately, but soon relaxed, recalling something, "It should be an airship from the Land of Dawn. I've heard about it before."

"An airship?" Herag continued to observe the airship.

Just from this airship, the magical industrial level of the Land of Dawn appeared to be from a time far advanced compared to the Barren Land.

This airship embodied multiple technologies, and none of them seemed to have been passed down to the Barren Land.
