Chapter 5010: Clean Up

Chapter 5010: Clean UpEditor: Misty Cloud Translations

"Lady Xuanyuan, how did you get here?"

Lady Song rose swiftly, grabbed her outer robe, and pulled it on before approaching her. Her face still bore a hint of pallor, but she forced down her panic and regained her composure.

Feng Jiu smiled, glancing at Cheng Wanli. "I noticed his gaze toward you was off earlier today. When I came out for a stroll at night, I saw him sneaking toward your quarters in the dark. That’s why I followed to check."

Her voice trailed off as her gaze fixed on the man. "Lady Song, what do you suggest we do with him?"

"This..."

Lady Song froze, momentarily at a loss. Killing him was out of the question—the Cheng family was far too powerful for the Song clan to provoke. But if they spared him, word of tonight’s incident would spread...

"Lady Xuanyuan, what should we do? I... I don’t know what to do..." Tonight’s fright had left her shaken. Though she had calmed down somewhat, her heart still hadn’t fully settled. Asking her to handle this, she truly didn’t know how to proceed.

"Who are you? "Have you no desire to live? Daring to touch me? Do you not fear ending up with no place to bury your remains?" Cheng Wanli’s voice was dark and menacing. He realized that aside from his spirit energy being sealed and his body immobilized, he could still speak.

However, he noticed that at some point, a soundproof barrier had been cast over the room. Thinking of this woman who had appeared without a sound, he narrowed his eyes and stared intently at the woman before him.

She wore plain azure robes, unremarkable and inconspicuous, much like her unassuming features. On the street, she likely wouldn’t draw a second glance.

Yet, her gaze was serene and detached. Her aura was restrained, making her cultivation level hard to gauge, yet an unusual presence emanated from her.

That presence... was that of a powerful being!

"No place to bury my remains?" Feng Jiu raised an eyebrow, a smile fleeted across. She then fixated her gaze, when an indescribable grin appeared on her face. With a flick of her finger, several streams of energy struck him three inches below his navel.

"Hmph!"

A muffled groan escaped him as his face twisted. "What did you do to me?!"

"Merely crippled your seed." Feng Jiu’s lips curved. "It was bound to be useless eventually anyway. Isn’t it more efficient for me to disable it now?"

"You bitch! I’ll kill you!" he roared, veins bulging on his neck from the fury, yet unable to break free from his immobilized body.

"Shut your filthy mouth!"

As Feng Jiu’s voice cut through the air, her hand shot up, and a shadow streaked past.

"Smack! Smack! Smack!"

Three resounding slaps landed on Cheng Wanli’s face. She hadn’t used her palms to strike him; instead, she’d channeled the force of her palm wind. The power generated by that wind was no less devastating than a direct palm strike.

After the three slaps, his face swelled up, and a thread of blood appeared at the corner of his mouth.

"How dare you hit me! You should—"

His words trailed off as a piercing scream erupted. Lady Song froze beside them, her hands clamped over her mouth. Stunned and horrified, she watched as Lady Xuanyuan lift her leg directly, aiming a kick straight for Cheng Wanli’s groin. The sheer force of that strike made her wince in pain just watching, let alone how the receiver felt.

"Thud!"

Cheng Wanli stumbled backward, unable to maintain his balance. He collapsed onto the ground, his face instantly draining from crimson rage to deathly pallor. An indescribable agony surged through him, leaving him gasping for breath in agony.
