Mesmerizing Ghost Doctor

Chapter 4941: Meet

Chapter 4941: Meet

“Alright!” Feng Jiu smiled in agreement, letting her lead the way to the night market on West Street.

Feng Jiu strolled leisurely, her gaze drifting to her two well-behaved sons beside her. A tender, doting expression softened her eyes as a smile touched her lips. “If you see anything you like,” she told them, “just say the word. Mother will buy it for you.”

Hearing this, the boys looked up at her, smiling as they replied, “Mm hmm! Thank you, Mother.” Truthfully, they had money of their own—their cosmos sacks held many treasures, and wealth was no exception.

Being boys, they weren’t particularly drawn to trinkets. Instead, they simply held their Mother’s hand as they strolled down the street, taking in the bustling night market.

Arriving at the night market on West Street, they found a small stall by the roadside, sat down, and ate some snacks.

Meanwhile, Yue’er had also made her way alone to West Street. She’d wandered over, having heard that the night market here was the liveliest, so she decided to check it out.

“Bowl rice cake? Is this a pastry?” Yue’er stopped curiously in front of a small stall, tilting her head to look at the transparent object stuck on the side and the three characters hanging above the stall.

“It’s a delicious cake, little sister. Want to try one?” The young vendor selling bowl cakes saw Yue’er standing there, tilting her head in curiosity. He carefully scooped out a portion, skewered it with a bamboo stick, and handed it to her.

Yue’er took it, took a small bite, and found it soft, springy, and utterly delicious. Her eyes lit up as she pulled out money and handed it to him: “I’ll take ten more to go.”

“Sure thing!” The young man smiled, deftly packing ten for her and giving her her change. “Come back if you like it!”

Yue’er responded with a beaming smile. She stowed the snacks in her spatial pouch and immediately headed to the next food stall. Munching on her bowl cake, she scanned the wares at another stand. “Is this candy? Give me half a pound.”

As she spoke, she handed over more money. She visited several stalls in succession, eating as she walked until her stomach was full. Stopping to rest, she rubbed her belly and let out a satisfied burp.

“So full, can’t eat anymore, but I still want to eat. What should I do?” she murmured to herself. Glancing around, she headed back toward the main street. Spotting a stall making sugar sculptures, her eyes lit up. She ran over and called out, “I want a sugar sculpture! Make one that looks just like me!”

Muchen, who had been eating at a stall, froze. He suddenly looked up, scanning the area as if searching for something.

“What’s wrong?” Feng Jiu asked, glancing around too. The street bustled with people, a lively chaos of vendors’ shouts and the chatter of passersby, creating an almost overwhelming din.

“I think I heard my sister’s voice,” Muchen said. Whether it was the telepathic bond between twins or something else, he felt intensely that his sister was somewhere nearby.

Hearing this, Feng Jiu raised an eyebrow but said nothing. Instead, she released her divine sense to scan the area. The divine sense’s search far surpassed what the naked eye could achieve, sweeping over every person. Even on such a crowded street, nothing would escape its notice.

“She really is here?” Feng Jiu’s surprise gave way to a smile as she rose to her feet. Her gaze locked onto the tiny figure about fifty meters ahead, and her smile widened.
