Chapter 3930: Disappear
The universe was torn open like a curtain being violently ripped, and even the spreading spatial tears were split apart.
The transparent moth shrieked, seemingly in disbelief, as it moved further and further away.
"You think that you can run?" Lu Yin's consciousness filled the region, and chains shot out from the void to bind the creature: Heaven and Earth Lock.
There was no denying that the transparent moth was strong, terrifyingly so. Both its cloak of chaotic time and its compound eyes that could freeze and shatter space were not things that an ordinary being could deal with. If Ming Zhuo and the others had faced the moth, they would have already died.
However, the moth was facing Lu Yin.
He finally understood why Greater Sancte Awe Gate had sent him to support the Night Pillars.
Historically, nearly every time a war against a foreign megaverse needed reinforcements, an Immortal had been sent. Either no support had been needed, due to the overwhelming might of the Night Pillars, or only an Immortal was qualified to offer aid.
It took eons for a civilization to rise, so without an Immortal of equal age and weight, it was difficult to overwhelm a civilization.
Lu Yin was extremely curious; just how long had the transparent moth lived for?
If his guess was right, it was also a foreign invader of the Allsense Megaverse that had taken control of this place. It had to be incredibly old.
The Heaven and Earth Lock kept winding tighter, binding all of the transparent moth’s external perception. Yet the essence of the Heaven and Earth Lock was consciousness, and consciousness could not escape the flow of time.
The Heaven and Earth Lock was constantly being erased by the chaotic time that shrouded the moth’s body, and the seal was quickly weakening.
Lu Yin waved his hand. Let the Setting Sun burn your martial arts away.
The moth’s comprehension of time was burned away.
A setting sun appeared on the horizon. As its light spread across the distance, the chaotic time covering the moth gradually calmed.
Any living creature was capable of forgetting, and Lu Yin’s comprehension technique proved to be surprisingly effective.
As the Heaven and Earth Locks continued to hold the moth in place, its struggles grew weaker. Just when Lu Yin thought that he had subdued the creature, another surge of power erupted from it, breaking the chains. The moth shot upwards, letting out a screech so loud that the stars trembled. Its wings flapped violently, sending forth gales that formed blades that sliced towards Lu Yin.
He casually brushed the attacks aside while staring at the transparent moth. What is this?
He felt a familiar power from inside the moth. It was the same battle force that had evolved from his own Wielder - God battle force. It was the white energy.
How did the moth have that?
Lu Yin kept deflecting the wind blades while studying the moth. The creature’s power had spiked in a dramatic fashion. Its power had transformed. White specks appeared across the surface of its body, looking like steam as the white energy streamed upward. The wind was unable to disperse the energy, giving it a divine appearance.
The transparent moth abruptly charged at Lu Yin, in an attempt to slam into him. As it shot forward, the chaotic time shrouding its body grew thicker.
Lu Yin spread his fingers apart as he watched as the moth vanish from sight. As his hand rose, he suddenly attacked behind himself and a bit to the right.
Bang!
The void shattered, and violent gusts of wind swept out in every direction, slicing through the universe. All of the nearby flowers were flattened, and countless Allsenses were wiped out.
The transparent moth let out another shriek as its massive body was sent flying.
Its compound eyes froze space again, the effect spreading across the entire universe.
The universe that had just shattered suddenly froze. It looked like it had separated into scattered pictures.
Lu Yin swept his hand down sharply, slicing through the frozen space. His palm contained the same white energy.
When the moth saw the white energy in Lu Yin’s hand, it simply turned around and fled. It had not expected Lu Yin to possess that same power.
Lu Yin stepped forward. Lightstream shimmered around him as he reversed time by one second.
The transparent moth was just about to escape through the void when time reverted, pulling it back. Lu Yin was suddenly standing on the creature’s back, the gray power of time swirling around him. He stood outside of time, protected by Lightstream, untouched by the moth’s chaotic time.
The moth struggled and tried to escape. It had never considered that Lu Yin might be this powerful.
Initially, it had not been hiding out of fear of the invaders, but rather to avoid being discovered by creatures from outside the megaverse. It was extremely wary of the cosmos.
Even if the cultivators aboard the Night Pillars were not particularly strong, the moth had never had any intention of directly acting against them. Instead, it had used the Allsenses and the flowers as a cover. If possible, it would eliminate the other invaders, and if not, simply drive them away.
It had not expected to encounter a being like Lu Yin. Just his power of Word Manifestation alone had forced the moth to disperse its thoughts. He was also unfazed by the shroud of chaotic time, and he also possessed overwhelming physical strength. Not only that, but he also possessed the same mysterious white power.
At that moment, the moth was incredibly nervous. Its opponent was a terrifying being, exactly the very kind that it had tried to avoid for so long. The moth was not able to fight against such a powerful entity from the Aevum Inch. It needed to escape and get far, far away. It would only take action again after it had completed its metamorphosis.
Only a complete transformation would allow it to be safe. The cosmos was far too dangerous.
These thoughts filled the moth’s mind as it twisted its body in a struggle to flee.
However, given Lu Yin’s overwhelming power, it could not break free.
The void continued to freeze, only for Lu Yin to easily year through it.
The transparent moth’s compound eyes suddenly contracted, and it let out a piercing, mournful scream.
Right after that, Lu Yin looked up to see lightning exploding across the universe as layers of the void overlapped. One by one, more glowing planets emerged from various parallel universes. As they appeared, their glow increased and then transformed. Allsenses appeared in an endless tide that surged towards Lu Yin like a flood.
His eyes narrowed. This was the answer. The Allsenses were actually born from the light produced by the glowing planets. They must have been cultivated by the moth.
How many Allsenses could the light of a single planet produce?
How many planets were in a single galaxy?
And how many galaxies did a single universe contain?
Lu Yin did not dare to follow that thought any further. Following this logic, the Allsenses could overwhelm an entire megaverse. They were far more numerous than even the swarms of the Nests.
For a moment, Lu Yin considered taming the transparent moth and using its Allsenses to counter the insects.
However, he needed to first deal with the horde approaching him.
Even if they posed no real threat to him, their numbers alone left his scalp numb.
He pointed at the void, and power rippled out from his finger in every direction. All of the Allsenses that came in contact with the ripples were annihilated. The moth had merely intended for them to distract Lu Yin’s strength and focus, but even the mere ripples of his power was enough to suppress all of them.
Countless Allsenses were destroyed, though more and more kept coming. They were endless and tireless.
Ripples of power continued to spread out from Lu Yin, erasing the universe and the stars in it. Before, he had not been sure if the megaverse had been ready to be reset, but given the number of parallel universes that had been destroyed recently, it seemed unlikely.
As more universes merged together, bits of Devourer also appeared. Massive portions of the metal fell from the sky, writhing and stabbing straight at Lu Yin and the moth.
Everything was shattered by the ripples of Lu Yin’s power.
In the megaverse’s main universe, everyone was staring at the flickering, shattering sky in horror.
"Is this megaverse about to be reset?" someone cried out in fear.
Some of the people on the Night Pillars had witnessed the reset of a megaverse before, and they knew that if they were present inside a megaverse while it was being reset, they would all be doomed.
Ming Zhuo and Yu had already returned, and their expressions were grim. "Could Junior Brother really be fighting hard enough to trigger a reset?"
Yu replied in a low voice, "We need to first get the Night Pillars out of this megaverse."
"Agreed."
From both the main universe and all throughout the countless parallel universes, the Allsenses charged at Lu Yin. The people on the Night Pillars were no longer in any danger.
As for the flowers, many were crushed by the overlapping universes. Even the pieces of Devourer were shattered.
The entire megaverse was in chaos.
To Lu Yin, all of this chaos was not threatening, at least not until the void was frozen yet again.
The moth’s compound eyes had locked onto Lu Yin, and space was frozen once more.
This trick had never worked on Lu Yin, and he prepared to rip through the frozen space yet again. However, to his shock, he found that he could not move. His strength was not enough.
How was this possible?
The void cracked, and the cracks moved closer to Lu Yin.
He sent Infinity running through his body while also releasing Heaven’s Seal’s sequence particles. He even unleashed the Natural Art, and yet it still was insufficient. No, this isn’t just the moth’s ability. This power is from Immortal matter; it’s been fused into the moth’s attack.
Lu Yin’s evolved battle force, the white energy, was able to merge with Immortal matter in a manner that increased the power of Lu Yin’s physical attacks. Clearly, the transparent moth had found a similar way of empowering its attacks. As for obtaining Immortal matter, it was likely not too difficult for the creature. There was no doubt that this frozen void was the result of using Immortal matter.
The spatial cracks had already reached Lu Yin.
His body withered: Extremes Must Be Reversed.
Crack.
He heard the sound of something breaking. The transparent moth suddenly slammed into Lu Yin while continuing to stare at him.
Bang!
He was slammed into a mass of Devourers, which then twisted about to coil around him in an attempt to swallow him whole.
The moth stared at the mass of metal. More precisely, it was staring at Lu Yin, who was trapped inside it. He should be dead.
Suddenly, the writhing tentacles froze. Cracks shot through them, and then with a loud snap, the Devourer pieces shattered completely.
The moth hesitated, but then it simply turned around and shot into the void to escape. Unfortunately, it was once again caught by Lightstream’s ability and dragged back.
Lu Yin brushed fragments of Devourer off his body. “That was vicious. That was very close to the limit of what Extremes Must Be Reversed can handle.”
Lu Yin’s breakthrough to the Origin realm had naturally raised the limit of what Extremes Must Be Reversed could endure. He himself did not even know what that limit had become.
In the Consciousness Megaverse, he had once used Extremes Must Be Reversed to endure a single blow from the Immortal monster. However, that attack had been vastly different from the one empowered by Immortal matter that the moth had just used.
One had attacked casually, while the other had been truly desperate.
Even if the transparent moth was not itself an Immortal, its attacks that were empowered by Immortal matter were absolutely at the Immortal level.
It was no different from how Lu Yin had fused Immortal matter into his Tri-Azure Sword Intent to reach the Immortal level of destructive power.
Lu Yin was certain that the moth’s last attack was far more powerful than the Immortal monster’s casual blow in the Consciousness Megaverse.
This also caused Lu Yin to realize that, if that Immortal beast had attacked him with its full power, Extremes Must Be Reversed would have never withstood it.
After all, even Sovereign Dou Sheng and the others had barely managed to survive a single blow from that Immortal beast after using the Nine Heavens Transformation, though the monster had not used its full strength.
To treat that monster’s attacks as the standard of what Immortals were capable of would be a grave mistake.
Master Qing Cao was a true standard, and he had effortlessly tossed that Immortal monster through space and into Heavenspire.
Seeing that Lu Yin was completely unscathed, the transparent moth struggled to flee. Unfortunately, all of its tricks had already been seen through. Lu Yin looked up at the stars above. As he raised his hand, he said, “Disappear.”
Incredible power shook the sky, completely shattering the universe that the two were in. The force reached the overlapping universes, causing the Mother Tree, Lu Yin, and the moth to all shift, appearing across the fragments of various universes.
The most tragic were the Allsenses.
All of the creatures that had entered the universe were instantly annihilated.
As all of that played out, Lu Yin looked at the transparent moth and said, “Stop.”
He was once again using the power of Word Manifestation, and this time, the transparent moth completely stopped.
It had used the Allsenses to scatter its thoughts, avoiding the power of Word Manifestation. However, since Lu Yin had just eliminated all of the Allsenses nearby, the moth’s thoughts could no longer be scattered. It was instantly suppressed.
