Chapter 4713 Walking On Bloodied Soil
"Let's go."
After sending away the ghosts with a simple command, Davis gestured to Fairy Thunderblaze.
She followed after him in the barren land, maintaining a close distance with him as they walked side by side, although there was still a meter distance between them.
"It seems like this journey might be smooth if the ghosts aren't going to harass us." She commented.
"Maybe." Davis nodded, "I don't know how it will turn out if we meet ghost cultivators. However, the death aura here is quite good, having been nurtured for countless years. I think I'll stay here for a while, collecting the aura for my scythe's breakthrough."
He took out the relevant container and started storing the death aura in the environment.
"Your scythe?"
"Yes, it has a name, Yama. It is quite cowardly." Davis's lips couldn't help but curl at the thought of it. He added, "But recently, after devouring a lot of death aura, it is quite brave and ruthless. There's also Lancelot, who is my spear, honorable and dominating."
"You sure do have different kinds of relationships with many spirits."
At that statement, Davis could only smile wryly, "Actually, they're very pitiful. They treat me as their one and only master, but with my ridiculous strength, I rarely ever get the chance to use them. They are around Peak-Level Empyrean Grade now, but here, they couldn't be brought within this secret realm. It was quite frustrating for me to come here without them after just telling that I would try to use them a lot after they were improved…"
Fairy Thunderblaze closely watched his expression before vigilantly eying the surroundings.
Like before, there were a few straggling ghosts, but after spotting Davis, they respectfully maintained their distance. She could see their instincts were telling them not to offend him.
"Armaments and artifacts are like that. They cannot possibly keep up. When it is time to abandon them, you mustn't hesitate." She advised.
"Maybe that's how it is in your eyes, but each and every member of the Davis Family is special to me. I won't abandon anyone." Davis shook his head.
He didn't talk anymore.
They continued to walk ahead vigilantly. They didn't fly since their senses were blocked from expanding more than ten meters ahead, so it might take them a while before they encountered the real deal.
After all, it didn't seem like it was here for now with the ghosts roaming around. From the looks of it, he could tell that these ghosts were scared of it. Their ravings were particularly spooky, but their uttering was always related to escaping the pursuit of the blood carnage Calamity as though that was their last moments.
It was saddening as Davis could still feel their despair when he used his Heart Intent on them.
"I won't continue to harp about how it is your weakness. Since that's the case, what would you do if I were special to you?"
Davis nearly paused but continued to walk. He shot a meaningful look at Fairy Thunderblaze.
"What are you plotting?"
"You know what I'm plotting." She glanced to the side and looked straight into his face.
"…"
Davis's expression remained indifferent. He turned to look ahead, ignoring her.
Fairy Thunderblaze hastened her footsteps to match his pace.
Ten minutes later, their gazes were abnormal since they had met thousands of ghosts. Their entire surroundings were now filled with ghosts carrying a yin aura. This wasn't the yin of ice or women but the yin energy stemming from darkness, ghostly yin. It blared around them, weakening their aura, as an ice-cold air swept through their pores, making them feel sick.
"Are you fine?" Davis asked.
His prowess was higher, so he could still endure, but Fairy Thunderblaze's base prowess was only fifteen levels higher, which made her near Level Six Empyrean Stage.
"Not a problem."
Scarlet divine flames burst over her figure, erasing the ghostly yin energy.
She waved her hand, sending waves of scarlet divine flames that swept through the ghosts like a tidal wave. It crashed into them like a giant maw, engulfing them and setting them ablaze.
"Ziaaaaaa!~~~"
The ghosts shrieked as they burned in the flames, quickly dispersing.
With many waves of her hands as she danced around Davis, she eliminated the ghosts around them.
Davis's sapphire eyes were affixed to her beautiful figure. Her graceful moves and imperial aura really didn't change even after she lost her Emperor-Tier aura. He couldn't help but feel that this exquisite woman was one of a kind.
"Is your golden divine lightning and scarlet divine flame both destructive, but the lightning also has the property of extinction, and the flame the property of sacred holy light that vanquishes evil?" He asked.
Fairy Thunderblaze finished off over four hundred ghosts around them before returning by his side.
"You got it right. Together, they're the bane of ghosts and living things alike, creating an extreme destruction property against all lives, including undead." She plainly said without any hints of joy.
This power was debt-ridden, and she didn't like it.
However, she had no choice but to accept it, or improving would be nearly impossible. As for the debt, she really wanted to see the Supremes stuck in the Elemental Dimension come to the True Immortal World and ask her to return the debt. She didn't think they had much authority to move around, or the world would be an even more dangerous place, with legends abounding.
Davis nodded. They continued to head forward.
This time, he didn't hold back either, eliminating the ghosts. When he made a move, the ghosts were much more frightened.
Seeing all these ghosts act instinctively and appear foolish, Fairy Thunderblaze frowned.
Looking at her reaction, Davis chuckled, "What? Are you afraid that you'll turn like them here?"
"Becoming a ghost cultivator?" Fairy Thunderblaze shook her head, "I believe the reason we pursue cultivation is to maintain the purity of our souls, to be ourselves in life and death. It is unimaginable for me to become a ghost and remain in existence like this, devoid of flesh and dignity."
"You do know that I died at least once and became a ghost, right?" Davis wanted to ask if she was going to mock him now.
"Really? What was the feeling like?" She asked curiously.
