Starting with a Super Five-Star Hotel

Chapter 330: Progressing Too Fast_1

The lounge had double doors with a crack running down the middle. Through it, an eye stared intently, watching everything unfold inside.

The owner of that eye was none other than Vice Principal Hou.

He wanted to see just how his daughter planned to have a "private chat" with Su Xuan. But a casual glance was all it took for him to see his daughter, back to the door, kneeling before Su Xuan. Her head was perfectly aligned with Su Xuan's waist!

That posture was very… suggestive.

Finally, his daughter even raised a hand. Was she tying Su Xuan's belt for him? Or zipping up his pants?

As a man who had seen his fair share of films, such a scene inevitably sent Vice Principal Hou's mind racing.

"Too fast..." he muttered, stepping back from the crack, his lips trembling. "This is progressing way too fast..."

He had no idea what was happening. How had his daughter and Su Xuan reached this stage so quickly? Could Su Xuan have threatened her? No, that doesn't seem right. Su Xuan is a big boss who looks down on people like us as if we're ants; he wouldn't need to resort to such underhanded methods. Besides, my daughter has a fiery temper. She wouldn't just submit. Could it be… she was willing? And Su Xuan accepted?

All at once, Vice Principal Hou recalled Su Xuan's playful expression when he first saw his daughter, the look of recognition in his eyes! They know each other! They already have a relationship! They must have gotten together a long time ago!

Vice Principal Hou then remembered his daughter dying her hair black and going to the mall early in the morning for new clothes. That wasn't to prepare for her first class, it was to see Su Xuan! That has to be it! It's the only logical explanation! What the hell kind of surprise is this? Now *this* is a surprise!

"Hehe!"

"Hahaha!"

Vice Principal Hou suddenly broke into a laugh.

"Old Hou, what are you laughing at?" Principal Xu asked, noticing his strange behavior.

"Oh, Old Xu!" Vice Principal Hou's previously respectful attitude vanished. He looked up and said, "I'm not laughing at anything in particular. I just find today's events quite amusing, and it's put me in a great mood."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Principal Xu glared, even more baffled by the man's attitude. When had he ever dared to call him "Old Xu"?

"It doesn't mean anything. You'll understand eventually."

Vice Principal Hou played coy. He glanced toward the lounge door and saw his daughter walking beside Su Xuan like an obedient kitten, which made him feel even more ecstatic.

"Alright then!" Su Xuan announced, looking around at everyone present. "I'm quite satisfied with today's tour. Please carry on with your work; I won't interrupt any further."

With that, Su Xuan headed downstairs. He only had two tasks left to complete the second phase of his mission and needed to get them done quickly.

Principal Xu and the others hurried to follow and see him off.

"Daughter, take this," Vice Principal Hou said, walking behind her. He pulled a tissue from his pocket and handed it to his daughter, who was walking with her head down in silence. "You've worked hard. Here, wipe your mouth."

"Wipe my mouth?" His daughter looked confused. "What for?"

"Eh?" Vice Principal Hou's eyes widened. He lowered his voice. "I saw what you two were doing in the lounge. Really, you should save that sort of thing for the evening! It's so embarrassing if someone sees you!"

"Do it at night? Embarrassing?" His daughter suddenly looked aggrieved. "Tonight would be too late! Do you have any idea what happened today? I hailed a ride, and it turned out to be his car! We had a huge argument, and I even called him 'so stupid.' How was I supposed to know he was the boss?

"When I was in there, I wasn't just pleading for myself—I was trying to save your job! I was on my knees begging him! It's a good thing he's magnanimous and didn't hold it against me. Otherwise, it wouldn't just be me who's finished; you'd be finished, too!"

"This... this..."

Hearing his daughter's explanation, Vice Principal Hou felt his soul about to leave his body.

So that's what happened! His daughter had a history with Su Xuan!

'So stupid?' That means… incredibly foolish! Just for that one phrase my daughter said to him, I, her father, would have to pack my bags and get lost!

And…

Vice Principal Hou shot his daughter a furious glare. He then took three steps in two to catch up to Principal Xu, his face a mask of fearful subservience. "Principal Xu, are you free this evening? Might I treat you to dinner? You know how much I've always admired you~~"

Principal Xu was once again completely bewildered.

Old Hou and his daughter are both acting unhinged today!

"Goodbye, Boss!"

When they got downstairs and reached Su Xuan's car, Vice Principal Hou beat Principal Xu to it, rushing forward to open the car door.

"Please, everyone, get back to your work!" Su Xuan said as he slid into the car, waving at the group.

"Oh no!"

"Someone's going to jump!"

Just then, a cleaning lady sweeping nearby cried out in alarm.

The woman looked up, pointing a trembling finger at the roof of the training center. A young man was standing on the very edge, his toes already over the side!

The building was eight stories tall. A fall from that height would be instantly fatal.

Faced with such an emergency, Su Xuan couldn't leave. He immediately got out of the car and looked up at the roof. This glance, however, was enough for him to spot the problem.

"Causing trouble in broad daylight. You've got some nerve," Su Xuan muttered.

This was not a simple suicide attempt.

In Su Xuan's vision, a spectral form was perched atop the young man's head, seemingly controlling him. The spectral form was that of a young woman. The young man himself looked dazed and confused, completely unaware of where he was or what he was doing, almost as if he were sleepwalking.

"Quick, get up there!"

"Talk the young man down!"

"I know him! He failed his TOEFL exam last time, and his chances probably weren't good this time either. He must have lost all hope!"

Principal Xu and the others were frantic and about to dash for the roof. Even the good-natured Principal Xu couldn't help but curse inwardly. This kid really picked a hell of a time to do this, while the big boss is still here! Ugh! Why is it just one incident after another today?!

"None of you are to go up there!"

But in the next second, Su Xuan stopped them.

"Where's the access to the roof?" Su Xuan asked the group. "I'll go up and talk to him myself."

He didn't want them to go because they couldn't see the spectral figure riding on the young man's head. Their well-intentioned but uninformed attempts to talk him down might only make things worse. Since the ghost hadn't yet forced the young man to jump, there might still be a shred of mercy in it.

"Boss, it's not right for you to handle this. We know him, just let..."

"Don't waste time. Show me the way!"

They quickly gave Su Xuan directions for the fastest route, and he hurried into the building and up to the roof.

The others didn't feel right just watching from below, so they hurried into the building across the way to get a better view of how Su Xuan would handle the situation.

Upon reaching the roof, Su Xuan approached the young man step by step, his eyes fixed on the female ghost perched on the young man's head.

"You can see me?"

The female ghost controlled the young man, forcing him to turn and face Su Xuan.
