Isabella's entire body fell numb as she collapsed to the ground. The only thing she heard was the sound of the woman laughing hysterically above her.
"Your vampire healing won't be able to get you out of this one."
Suddenly her entire mouth went dry and her eyes glowed blood red. She knew exactly what she needed to cure herself from this poison.
"Blood"
With his blood her body could overcome this poison. The poison was rapidly draining her energy, but just then she felt a course of new energy wash over her.
Full moon effect! All your stats have been [2x].
Though the power from the full moon wasn't enough to cure her, it at least gave her the power to fight back.
The moment the full moon effect activated, she also regained her full moon skill, blood manipulation.
She weakly raised her hand and pointed it at the woman standing above her. The woman seemed to be reveling in the power the full moon brought to her as she began to grow wolf-like hairs on the top of her head and a furry gray tail between her legs.
The woman looked to the sky, already forgetting about Isabella, but just then a maddening headache took over her.
"What is happening?"
She clutched her head and collapsed to her knees as blood began to pour from her eyes and ears. Her screams grew twisted like a witch being burnt at the stake.
Her screams mingled with the chaos of the battlefield, so no one even spared her a thought. The pain got so unbearable, to the point where she only wished for one thing.
Death…
She begged for it, and before Isabella's magic could consume her, she ripped out her own throat without a second thought.
Isabella watched the woman take her own life, and she felt nothing. She had seen much worse in the past, so something as small as this couldn't shake her.
She had seen her mother dissect living, breathing creatures just so she could learn their anatomy and figure out the best ways to kill them.
Her heart was already hardened for such a sight.
"Mom…"
Isabella had been a bit distracted these last few weeks, but deep down she missed her mother.
Even if her mother was coming to kill her and the person she cared for, she was still her mother.
She didn't miss her old life. She only wished that her mother could be a part of her new one.
As Isabella lay on her back thinking about the past and future, the battle between the Nyx pack and the Lycan pack was still unfolding around her.
And during the midst of this battle, a loud sonic blast could be heard as Selthia engaged in a life-or-death struggle against another one of the three generals.
Thus, the general danced around her attacks and moved at a speed faster than sound, so her sonic blasts weren't effective.
"I won't lose to those bitches," she mumbled before releasing another ear-shattering scream at the general who was running laps around her.
Seeing how bravely Sylvie, Isabella, and even Kumo were fighting, she felt pressured to outdo them.
Being a quintuplet, Selthia was used to competition. She and her sisters would fight over almost everything. And she would always feel compelled to be the one to come out on top.
That is part of the reason she agreed to rally the skinwalkers. She believed in her heart that Liam's pack would be a big one. And such a big pack would have factions.
Her goal was to have the biggest faction of all Liam's future wives. And the skinwalkers would be the first group to join her faction.
She had already thought about everything, and right now to her, her biggest competition was Sylvie since most of the werewolves looked up to her; they would most likely align themselves with her.
Isabella and Kumo were alone for now, but she was certain that they too would start to accumulate followers. It was only a matter of time.
That was why she had to outperform them. And just as she was about to lose herself to frustration, she finally felt what she was waiting for. Werewolves and sirens were both similar, as they both were affected by the full moon.
For sirens, their water magic improved significantly.
The general continued to evade Selthia's water magic. His speed increasing by the second. He was confident he could defeat the girl who before gave them so much trouble.
And now that the full moon was beginning to take effect, his speed would now double. His speed was his trait, and now that he was an awakened werewolf, his power was now leaps and bounds above other werewolves.
This arrogance is the reason why he didn't notice the attack Selthia was preparing. Above his head a small body of water was slowly accumulating, and now it was the size of a small lake.
Selthia was just biding her time, and now it was time for her to deliver the final attack.
A massive grin rose on her face as she thought about how proud her darling would be. And with that thought, she released the body of water she was holding up with all her might.
When it dropped, the sound was akin to that of a small explosion. Instantly the general was crushed beneath its force, and the entire battlefield became flooded.
This single attack was enough to wipe out a considerable amount of the opposing forces, and seeing how entranced the skinwalkers were about her power, she couldn't help but smile proudly.
…
On the other side of the battlefield, Liora and Derrick had just defeated the general they were tasked to fight.
They had collapsed to the ground. Their chest slowly rising and falling with every second.
"I didn't even break a sweat," Liora muttered.
"This power is incredible." Derrick agreed.
They weren't talking about the power of the full moon; instead, they were discussing the power granted to them by their brother Liam.
For centuries werewolves were considered one of the weakest races. But now with their brother, they could become one of the most powerful races.
As a primordial werewolf, they had the power not just to rival but to stand on top. If other werewolves heard of this power, undoubtedly it would cause a stir. They would see him as a prize jewel, a god of sorts.
Some would even think that he was the reincarnation of the Lycann king himself
But with such power came an enemy of similar rank. At that moment both of them fully committed themselves to fight beside their brother no matter what the future held.
