It seems I'm going to be finding out more about this system than I initially thought… Or maybe an interference in the system? Who knows.

After about an hour of walking up a steep mountain with snow falling down onto us and caking our clothes with the cold, we finally arrived at a wood cabin village.

I'd say there were probably about fifty people living here and that included children, women, and some other men who didn't look like warriors.

There were the elderly, the sick, and everything else that happens in a normal, sustainable society.

"What the hell… Is this uncharted? I didn't see this when I was scrolling through the map," Celestine muttered, checking her phone once again.

I glanced at her phone, and yep, this place was just displayed as a giant mountain, but there were a few "do not enter" warnings plastered across the top.

"Please, settle down for a bit. The Master is only awake at night," He said, and a few of the residents tried to split us up, but it didn't really matter as we had the hivemind.

I was taken by a little grandma and what seemed to be her grandson, who was about five years old right now.

Their smiles were bright and cheery, but I didn't really trust them, so I kept my eyes on them carefully as we walked to their wooden cabin.

A grouchy-looking old man was already inside, sipping on some coffee, and upon seeing me, he scoffed.

"What the hell is the chief doing? Bringing outsiders into our land!?" He shouted before storming out of the cabin.

"I'm sorry about his actions… It's just that this place is really secluded, and most of the time, we never get visitors. The warriors of this village are very cruel on the front, but if you get to know them better, they're actually very sweet," The grandma said as she gestured for me to sit down at a wooden table.

I didn't reject her offer and sat down on the scratchy and not-so-comfortable chair, but it would do as she was now bringing a few cups of hot coffee.

Those… did she just make them?

'Hey, guys, the coffee is poisoned. They just used coffee in order to cover up the stench, but this taste is definitely poison. It's pretty strong, but not enough to kill us, though,' Charna said through the hivemind.

I thought as much. I mean, she prepared this freshly brewed coffee in just a few seconds? Or does she already have this prepared for visitors? Yeah, right.

As I sipped on the coffee, my enhanced senses immediately detected the poison and multiplied the horrific taste by so much that I almost threw up.

But I didn't show it on my face as I just calmly sat the coffee back down on the table.

I can also taste a sleeping sedative, but it's barely there, so I doubt it will do anything for me… yeah, let's just see what happens next.

This entire time, I was wearing my icy crown, but was slowly spreading a layer of ice under the entire village through the small cracks in the wooden cabin.

It was under the thick snow, so I doubt anybody was able to detect it, and if they did, a fight would most likely break out.

It seems they want my Frostbite… What is it for, though?

I should probably continue to play dumb until they let a bit of information slip through… yeah, I'll just stick with that.

"So, I heard you guys know about the Frostbite," I said as I summoned Frostbite into my hand and waved inside the cabin, creating sparkles of frost.

The two humans in front of me looked almost horrified at the sight, and they stuttered to get an answer out.

"Y-Yeah, i-it's just a really good weapon," The grandma said, but it was so obvious that she was lying, so I leaned back in my chair and let Frostbite disappear into thin air.

"Well, you can have it if you want?" I said, and the two humans before me widened their eyes in excitement, like babies drawn to a few pieces of candy.

I couldn't help but chuckle a bit before summoning the sword once again and handing it to the clueless old lady.

"I-I must confirm if this is the real thing with the chief. Please excuse me," She said.

"It must be heavy. Let me help you carry it to him. I don't want an old lady to strain her back because of me," I said with a cheerful tone.

"G-Grandma is very strong," The grandson said, and my eyes turned cold.

"Y-Yes, I can carry it to the chief myself, so please just sit there and keep drinking your coffee. I'm sure a little surprise is waiting at the bottom for you,"

'Too easy… Charna,'

'Roger,'

This entire time, Charna wasn't part of our group and was just hanging around the others, and as she was surveying the village for any information, she also informed us of the poison in the coffee.

As I sat back down at the wooden table with the grandson, who was a bit nervous but also excited, I asked,

"Is he controlling you, or are you being controlled by fear?" I asked the boy, and it looked as if his heart had dropped.

He looked up at me as if I had just ruined his future… well, I kind of did as in the next second, I sliced his head off.

(Charna POV)

I followed the grandma, who took a route around the village in order to not draw the attention of any other villagers, and she then arrived at a large cliffside with a massive gate that we somehow didn't notice.

Was this covered in an illusion- no, the blizzard is the illusion. I noticed it wasn't very cold, and even though we do have monster bodies, we still kind of feel the cold.

But there was practically no chill in the air, so the blizzard was probably some sort of illusion to hide this place…

"I'm excited," I muttered as I followed the old lady right up to the massive pair of doors, which slowly creaked open.

She seemed to start talking, but no voice came out of her mouth, and all of a sudden, she began to sweat profusely.

She then quickly placed the sword onto the ground and kowtowed before the door… which slightly opened.

It then closed after half a second, but I was already inside, with a giant yeti, about twenty feet tall, inspecting the frozen sword.

"This is it… This is it! I can finally release my brethren into the world!" He shouted, his voice echoing in the massive cavern which looked to be his home.

It was completely frosted over with ice and snow, forming large icicles that hung from the ceiling and furniture made from cloudy, blue ice.

Everything was ice and had a coat of snow on top, but the grotesque looking yeti beside me, drew my attention more.

Yes, everything in the cavern was beautiful, but the yeti who was now bouncing up and down with excitement was quite a funny sight to see.

I guess we should start collecting more information now…

I slipped out of the shadows and as I was flying in the air, I muttered,

"[Bog of Deaths Shadow],"

The floor immediately turned into a giant shadow which then turned into tendrils that dragged the yeti down into what seemingly was the abyss.

Seeing him struggle was amusing, but I needed to collect this information fast so I created massive blades from the bog below me and pointed it straight at each limb he had.

I then jumped on his shoulder and pinched the back of his neck so hard he let out an earth shaking yelp.

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!" He shouted, shaking the cave and trying to shake me off in the process, but I coated my shoes and in shadows which hooked into his skin.

"You have three minutes to tell me everything you know about the Frostbite. If you withhold information, you get pierced. Lie about any information, you get pierced. And if you aren't entertaining enough, you get pierced," I muttered with a sadistic smile.

"Okay! Okay! I'll tell you everything I know! I just please stop stabbing me!" He shouted and juust as he reached for me with his large palm, I stabbed that arm.

ARGHHHHHHHH!
