Chapter 108: Qi Condensation

Late at night, a figure could be seen under a huge amount of gushing water that would shatter the bone of a normal person. Raze sat there, eyes shut, fingers interlocked as he forced himself to concentrate. The pressure that he felt at the moment was crazy, his bones screamed at him, but his mind refused to let up.

It had been four days now, through fire and water, he had been here. His qi had shot through the roof, dividing into yin and yang within his body.

But he was chasing one level first, and that was the QI Condensation level, the first level to reach if he was going to use the sword technique. He could already feel himself close to it, and he was certain tonight he would finally cross that level.

And he did. There was a click in his body, very audible, and what followed was some black liquid forcing itself through the pores of his body. These were the impurities that existed inside his body. It kept rushing out for a few minutes until finally it stopped.

Raze got on his feet. He felt so light that if he jumped he would go much higher. Curious about that, he stepped out of the water basin. He stood on the solid ground and looked up into the air. Without using QI he jumped, reaching a height above ten feet in the air with his feet.

He looked down from up there as he began descending. If he had used QI, he was sure that he would have done more than double of that. He landed back on the ground with a smile on his face, grinning from ear to ear.

Pulling out his baseball bat from the ring, Raze immediately took the stance from the yin and yang sword technique, and in one swift motion he slashed. The force of the attack was explosive, and despite being a blunt weapon and far from the tree, it created an arc that slammed into the tree and obliterated it in an instant.

Raze stood there watching, shocked. "Whoa." If that was the normal attack power he could output without any QI, then what about when he actually used QI? Curious about that, he gripped the bat with both hands, allowing his QI to rush forward. He swung it, and an arc twice as large as the last one shot out, slamming into the trees and shattering more than three.

His grin widened even more. He looked at the bat, flipped it and caught it.

"What was that move just now?" Suddenly he heard Fey's voice. Raze turned immediately and saw Fey behind him. He had not even noticed him at all; that alone scared the living shit out of Raze.

"How the hell did you do that?" Raze said.

"You forget I am a divine being. No matter what tricks you have, it's still all too weak to actually do something to me. That being said, come with me, I need to show you something."

"What's that?" Raze asked.

"Just come with." Fey said and then transformed, going low for Raze to get on. After getting on the back, Fey got up. "Hold on, or you'll get blown away." He said. Raze grabbed onto his fur and Fey bolted with incredible speed. The cold wind slammed right into Raze's face.

'Whoa, this is crazy fast. I guess this is why he is a divine beast.' Raze thought.

While they moved, Fey suddenly started speaking. "Raze, do you know that the human Elaine is not normal?" he asked.

The question took Raze off guard; he wasn't expecting it. "Why so?" he asked.

"Have you not noticed anything off about her ever since you knew her?"

"Hmmmm," Raze thought for a moment, "she can read, has insane physical stamina, and also an aura that I still fear, and she never talks about her past." He stated a few.

"Hmmm, I do not know her reason, but she is no normal human. At least from what I know, she carries the presence of something extremely terrifying. Behind those eyes is a depth even I can only dream of looking into." Fey said.

'What? Fey can't be serious right? Elaine is making even a divine beast worried? Something is definitely not right.'

"Could it be all a mistake?" Raze asked.

"No, I'm certain. I am not saying she is a bad human; in fact, I have come to like her. But there is something to her that she has most definitely shrouded in a veil of mystery.

I don't know what it is, but I have to ask that you be cautious around her." Fey said.

"Not possible." Raze replied. "I don't care what she has hidden and it isn't my business for now, but Elaine is the closest person to me and I'll not be changing that at all." He said.

"Sigh, fine then, I'll be watching you to ensure no harm comes to you." Fey said and then sped up.

After half an hour of travelling, Fey finally came to a stop. It was extremely deep into the forest, outside the borders of their lands. The moment Fey stopped, Raze could already hear some sounds in the distance over a small rock formation.

Fey transformed back human and they both walked and climbed over the rock. And what Raze saw there instantly sent shivers down his spine.

Not one, not two, not three, but ten abominations stood there, walking around but never leaving a certain distance, letting out low and heavy growls. Their glowing red eyes pierced into the darkness.

"How is this possible? How are abominations gathered together?" Raze asked.

"Keep watching." Fey responded, and a few minutes later, two cloaked figures walked into the center of the group. Instantly Raze used God's Eyes. It was two men standing there. They began speaking and Raze started reading their lips.

"These are a few of them that they gathered together. The demonic energy has fully formed within their soul and tied them into the seal. That way, we can control the attacks."

Raze's eyes widened. "So this is what it was?" he muttered.
