Reborn As The Barbarian God

Chapter 75: Blood Searching Set II

And a proper test they gave the relics.

The first thing they did was find low-level monster dens because testing weapons couldn't be used for fighting seriously. When they found the dens, they took turns activating and deactivating the relics.

They did all of this without trying to fight or attack with them.

What Galthor worried about most was that they wouldn't be able to deactivate the relic even after giving it blood, but it turned out that blood was really all it needed.

On the battlefield, they would be able to find blood to feed the armor, or as Galthor was planning, trap some monsters inside the Drowning relic to use as a blood source.

Since he couldn't take any living thing into his spatial ring, he should store blood in barrels and take it with him in case they needed to fight with the armor.

There were several ways he was setting up to safely use the relic.

After everyone could activate and deactivate it, they moved to the next phase of things, which was attacking. Since all of their strength and speed had doubled, they needed to relearn lots of things, including controlling their strength when doing certain actions.

They all took turns fighting each other, and it was as if a group of cursed monsters were rampaging in the Abyssal Land from the cracks and shallow craters in the ground.

From Galthor's estimation, they all should be able to take on a cursed monster personally, one-on-one. And it wasn't only because of their increased strength and speed but also because of the blood manipulation. All they had to do was bleed their opponents, and they could do some really dangerous and interesting things to them.

"We still need lots of practice, and that's what we are going to focus on in the next five days. We need to master this relic. If we do, then we'll not lose to the other banners," Galthor said.

This time, the masters gave him a steady and strong look, unlike the panicked looks they had given him when they first learned of the Abyssal Land exploration.

It just went to show that in the world, personal strength isn't the only measure. Relics, legacies, blessings, and techniques all play roles in making people strong. And there are some people who could combine all of it.

They might be in the same rank, but what they possess can create a heaven-and-earth difference.

"Mistress, is it really okay?" Han looked at her with anxious eyes.

They were in her room once more, the room lit up with small balls of yellow light. The relic that lit the Revolutionary Base tunnel was already dead for the "night."

The silence of the night pressed tightly through their open window.

Once again, Han was in his hologram form. "Should you really do this?"

Lady Pelica was once again showing the full extent of the relics she carried on her person since there were no eyes on her. She looked at Han with a frown. "This is not the first time I'm going to do something like this. Why are you so anxious?"

The Blood Searching Coffin was opened and placed on the only table available in her room.

Han hesitated only a little. "It's just that something is really strange with the barbarians. You should not mess with them, at least until you understand the situation."

She looked at Han patiently. "This is not the first time I'm doing something like this. We have used this method on barbarians before."

"And that's because you've already confirmed that they were true Demon worshippers," Han replied sternly.

When Han said "Demon," his image flickered, and it was almost as if he were wearing a mask over his human form.

"Then it's interesting, isn't it? I got to meet you. But this time is different. I'm not here to mess with these barbarians. I'm here to measure their potential. If they're not up to par, I can just leave them."

"Then what about the soul-binding promise you made?"

She looked at him flatly. "Very funny. I don't have my soul in this body."

"And what if they're the real deal?"

She opened her mouth and then slowly closed it, a slight frown on her face. "How can it be? I don't know which god is pulling strings in the corner or how they're doing it. Maybe it's even related to one of the Howling big shots. But does it matter? The barbarians don't have a god."

Han looked at her silently for a while. "Just be careful."

She smiled. "I say again, is this the first time I'm doing something like this? They have been using the relics for four days now, fighting and training with them. They've formed a deep connection with Blood Searching."

She stopped speaking, and her eyes fixed on nothing, slowly going unfocused as she stared intently at the middle of the room. Her right hand rested on the coffin.

The coffin rippled, and a reddish glow covered it as if a blood mist were hovering around it.

Although nothing was happening on the surface, things were different underneath.

When Lady Pelica spoke with Galthor about the Blood Searching set, she had omitted an important message. The Blood Searching set was actually the coffin, and the weapons were the byproducts of it. In short, they were like the children of the coffin.

This created a powerful link that was strongly one-sided, from the coffin to the relics it created, and it only grew stronger with use.

It was a method she had used numerous times, and most of the time, she wouldn't even show the coffin. Instead, she would gift the weapons as relics, and with that, she could do many things.

Sometimes she created powerful fighting puppets with it.

And the reason people trusted her the most was because of the soul-binding promises. They trusted that promise. Alas, as she said, she really did not have her soul in her damned body.
