The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 64: 064 Three Corpse Incarnations

Wu Qiming had never really regarded the Black Dragon highly from the start. Having spent many years in the East Sea, he had seen all kinds of dragons and slain no small number of them. How powerful could a dragon that was several thousand years old be, after all? With his own divine skills powered by mana and aided by magical treasures, he believed it would be easy to kill the dragon if he desired, and it wouldn't pose any trouble.

Shi Feiyang also hadn't displayed all of his strength. While he fought, he gradually retreated farther away from the battlefield. Wu Qiming always felt that if he just put in a bit more effort he could finish Shi Feiyang, even though his physical body had been destroyed. He still believed the boundless mystery of the Three Corpses Primordial Spirit could surely kill the Black Dragon if he cast his most powerful spell. Not only would he retrieve the Mountain Suppressing Treasure Saber, but he could also get the Divine Fire Inner Core. He coveted that inner core, which contained the energy of five fires, so much that one could say he was drooling over it!

Therefore, he neither fled nor stopped his spell casting attacks.

The three incarnations moved as fast as lightning, forming a triangular formation around the large body of the Black Dragon. Each incarnation formed different hand gestures, and as they gave a light shout, the atmosphere changed abruptly: waves of green flames surged out from between their hand seals. Finding mutual resonance, they connected to form a vast sphere, trapping the Black Dragon in the center.

At the same time, from their hand gestures, talismans formed of green flames were released. Each talisman drastically expanded upon release, growing to a height of several dozen feet, blazing with green fire and each representing different energies smashing towards the Black Dragon's body.

Shi Feiyang contracted his body tightly and first released a Mica Tent, its thick mist instantly expanding and filling the entire green fire sphere. Then, a True Water Inner Core flew out and mingled with the Divine Fire Inner Core. The Water and Fire Inner Cores intertwined and spun, forming a Tai Chi Pattern and then transformed into a Chaotic Nebula, generating an immense Star Absorption force.

First, the green flame talismans were absorbed into the Chaotic Nebula, dissipating into nothingness; next was the Green Spirit Saber, and lastly the entire Green Flame Ball Net, along with Wu Qiming's Three Corpse Incarnations, were all sucked in.

Wu Qiming had initially seen the Black Dragon emit mist and thought it was laughable; he believed it to be wishful thinking to defend against his attacks with such a method. "Beasts will be beasts," he thought, "only capable of spewing fog and mist. The only formidable thing is that inner core..." As he thought of the inner core with its five Fire Dragons, his heart warmed with desire. Today, even if all his disciples died, even if Merfolk Island was razed to the ground by Geng Kun, it would still be worth it if he could obtain that inner core!

However, he didn't know that Shi Feiyang's release of the Mica Tent was just to obscure visibility, and within the thick mist, he released another inner core, starting to cast his strongest spell with all his might.

Shi Feiyang had originally hoped to use one inner core to entangle Wu Qiming, waiting for Geng Kun to lead the horde of mystical creatures to settle the matter. To his surprise, the creatures went rampant on the island, and Geng Kun disappeared into the island without a trace. As Wu Qiming was also quite strong, one inner core was not enough to secure victory, so he used the mist to conceal his movement techniques.

By the time Wu Qiming realized his talismans were useless, the Mountain Suppressing Treasure Saber was taken out of his control, and before he could understand what was happening, his body suddenly tightened, and all three incarnations were attracted by a formidable force. Startled and confused, he hurriedly cast a spell to attempt a distant escape.

The reason he could act so unscrupulously, not fearing making enemies, was largely because of these Three Corpse Incarnations. Even if he was defeated in a duel, as long as one incarnation could escape, it didn't matter which one, they could find a suitable body to possess and, with some time of cultivation, be restored.

But now all three incarnations were caught, rendering his last life-saving method useless. In a panic, he used the Spiritual Light Escape Technique; the three incarnations simultaneously transformed into streaks of light, twisting like lightning. They finally broke free from the restraint and in the blink of an eye, they were a thousand miles away, shooting off in three different directions and disappearing into the clouds.

Shi Feiyang gathered back the inner core and the mist, clutching the Green Spirit Saber that shimmered with green light, feeling a twinge of regret.

Wu Qiming's last used escape skill was somewhat miraculous, able to break free from the Star Absorption Inner Core's confinement and forcefully flee. If he could have captured his Primordial Spirit and interrogated him about the details of that escape skill, it would have been great. After all, the more life-saving techniques one had, the better. Unfortunately, it was a missed opportunity.

He then saw the sea below where green fire was burning. Knowing it was Wu Qiming's physical body exploding and the Qiankun Bag also shattered, most of the contents inside were blasted to ashes, and the rest scattered with the wind, falling into the water. These streaks of green fire were the Green Blood Divine Net.

This Demon Net was extremely vicious, not extinguishing even upon reaching the sea, spreading with the waves, and any sea creature that touched it would be burned to a crisp.

He cast the spell recorded in the "Heavenly Book Supplement" designed specifically to collect such treasures. From a distance, he gathered up all the spreading net strands that had started to disperse with the water, suspended them above his fingertip, forming a fist-sized ball of green flame. He then wrapped and sealed it with Dan Qi, turning it into a green pearl the size of a longan, which he ingested into his stomach.

The battle on Merfolk Island had all but ended. Wu Qiming's seven major disciples and four protectors had been slain, and two of the three Envoys had perished, leaving only the Divine Wind Envoy, Xiang Ji. This fellow had been quick to realize what was happening and, seeing the situation turning grim, immediately kneeled down to beg for mercy. Yuan Ming was about to spear him to death when Geng Kun, who arrived just in time, stopped him.

Now full of triumph and satisfaction, Geng Kun sat upon the seat Wu Qiming once occupied. Kneeling before him were Xiang Ji, the King of the Merfolk, and the remaining fifty or so merfolk.

First, Xiang Ji begged for his life, kowtowing and claiming that he had long admired Geng Kun. Flattering him with a barrage of compliments, Geng Kun was so pleased that not only did he spare Xiang Ji's life, but he also took him as a disciple and decided to take him back to Roc Bay later.

With his heart finally at ease, Xiang Ji continued to knock his head on the ground, ecstatically exclaiming that today he was fortunate to have met a great teacher, the luckiest event in ten lifetimes!

Then there was the King of the Merfolk. With things having come this far, he had no choice but to submit, allowing Geng Kun to decide his fate. Geng Kun commanded him to lead his people in resettling to Roc Bay, where he would protect them and the Merfolk Clan henceforth would weave merfolk silk for him.

It was called Merfolk Island because they had settled here, a thousand years in the making. The clan had prospered, numbering more than eight hundred, but following the slaughter, only fifty-six remained. All the treasures they had accumulated over the years also fell into Geng Kun's hands.

Wu Qiming's stash of treasures over many years had also been taken by Geng Kun, the most precious of which was the merfolk silk. There were various grades and styles, which could be made into clothing or refined into magical treasures.

This time, Geng Kun had a minor trial of his skills and returned victorious, his followers and captives laden with spoils.

Back in Roc Bay, Geng Kun convened a commendation meeting with all his disciples by the seaside, discussing merits and distributing rewards.

The most meritorious this time was unmistakably Shi Feiyang, whose performance had indeed made Geng Kun take notice. Alone, he had managed to defeat Wu Qiming, destroying his physical body, leaving only his Three Corpses Primordial Spirit to flee in desperate panic.

Before Geng Kun could open his mouth to speak of rewards, Shi Feiyang proactively offered up the Green Spirit Saber and the Green Blood Divine Net.

The Green Spirit Saber was Wu Qiming's mountain treasure and was extremely powerful. Although the Green Blood Divine Net was damaged, with some reforging, it could be used again, albeit with a somewhat reduced range of coverage.

Above all, Shi Feiyang did not much care for these two items and offered them proactively to see Geng Kun's response.

If he could exchange them for something, preferably the "Chi You Three Disks Scripture," then it would prove that Geng Kun was a person with whom one could deal. If Geng Kun was stingy, only taking and not giving, then he would not be worth the effort. To obtain the "Chi You Three Disks Scripture," other methods would have to be considered.

Yet, Geng Kun liked these two treasures very much. Overjoyed by the acquisition, he praised Shi Feiyang repeatedly. Although he also coveted the Divine Fire Inner Core in Shi Feiyang's possession, seeing that Shi Feiyang was so powerful and obedient, he suppressed the urge and proclaimed Shi Feiyang's reward in front of everyone:

First, he would teach him the refinement method for the Nine Heavens Cold Soul Pearl.

Second, from now on, the Water Clan of Roc Bay would be led by him.
