Chapter 247
"It's noisy outside, isn't it? I wonder if something happened?"
Clael, who had been drinking tea with Reina in the lounge, furrowed his brows at the commotion coming from outside.
There was a thudding sound like something heavy falling, followed by the screams of multiple men.
"What could it be? Maybe snow fell from the roof?"
Reina tilted her head, teacup in hand.
It was still early in the morning. Though the town was already starting to stir, it wasn't a time for such a ruckus.
"It is a tourist spot, after all. Maybe some rowdy youngsters are just playing around. Reina, please try not to go out alone too much."
"Hehe, understood. Thank you for worrying about me."
Reina gave a shy smile.
Their early morning tea party resumed. The two sipped their tea and enjoyed a peaceful moment, occasionally exchanging words.
As they passed the time like that... Reina's companions and Yurii, who were traveling with them, woke up and came to the lounge.
"Good morning, Lady Reina, Mr. Byrne."
"Yawn... good morning, Mr. Clael, Reina."
"Good morning, everyone."
"Good morning... Mr. Yurii, please wash your face. Your hair is sticking up too."
The ones who arrived were Reina's three friends—and the female teacher Yurii Kanesta.
The students were all neatly dressed, but Yurii, who should have been their role model, had bedhead and crust in her eyes.
It wasn't an appearance fit for a young woman to be seen in public... but then again, Yurii was a man.
(Well, if it's a male teacher, then it's probably fine... or is it?)
Clael tilted his head with a troubled expression.
The saving grace was that she didn't have stubble. Apparently, Yurii's body didn't grow facial hair, so her mouth area was clean.
Because of that, her masculinity was even further diminished... but Clael didn't want to see facial hair on that face anyway, so he let it slide.
"Breakfast will be ready soon. After that, we'll go skiing. Since we'll be in front of the students, please tidy yourself up."
"Yees... got it. I'll go fix myself up a bit."
Rubbing her sleepy eyes, Yurii staggered off toward the restroom.
"Whoa! This is the men's restroom!"
"Hey—wrong one, wrong one!"
"Huh? But I am a man?"
"A-a pervert! Staff! Someone, help!"
From the men's restroom came the screams of the men who had apparently been inside first.
It seemed she was once again being misunderstood. Even someone familiar like Clael could be fooled, so it was no surprise that strangers would be confused.
A hotel staff member rushed into the men's restroom, and the shouting grew louder.
"No, you've got it wrong! I really am a man! I can prove it, look, look!"
"Wait—don't strip here! There's no way someone like you could be a man!"
"What!? But I really am~~~~~!"
"............"
Clael considered going to help... but was suddenly overwhelmed by the urge to pretend he didn't know her, and shook his head.
"...It seems Mr. Yurii will need some time to get ready. Shall we go ahead to the restaurant?"
"Yes, let's go."
"Indeed. Let's be on our way."
"M-Mr. Clael! Help me~~~~~!"
Clael nodded to the students and headed off for breakfast ahead of the others.
He thought he could hear a pained scream from behind... but chose to ignore it.
In the end, Yurii arrived at the restaurant thirty minutes after the buffet-style breakfast had begun.
