Gina's eyes narrowed as she watched the large ball vibrate in the sky. The other subordinates in Jason's Legion also looked up and watched the ball intensely, and Gina spoke up with a frown.

"It's opening."

Doon!

The pulse of power suddenly surged through the air before the ball of shadows began to fade, and everyone around had to struggle to maintain their balance as the entire region shook from the sudden pressure! The ball of shadows had been preventing Jason's mana from spreading out all this time, and the pressure that shook the ground was caused by a massive amount of mana being let out at the same time! Gina stepped forward as she saw two figures appear in the air. The first one was Evon's lifeless body that immediately began falling to the ground once it appeared, and the second one was Jason's body! Jason's body was covered in a dark, shadowy material, and Gina could literally see the darkness all around Jason seeping into his body like he was absorbing it!

'What's going on, babe. Jason, can you hear me? Jason!?'

Gina tried calling out to Jason when she saw him, but there was no response, and Gina suddenly felt an intense worry spread through her chest! What was happening? Didn't Jason win? Why wasn't he saying anything!? Gina's mana swirled around her as she took to the sky immediately, and she called on some of her Iron-bladed Falcon subordinates to go and catch Evon's body while she quickly made her way straight for Jason! Agiel watched from the shore with a frown on her face as Gina left her behind, and she turned to Fredrica and asked her if she had a way to get up there. Fredrica nodded, and she started to walk to the side as Agiel followed after her. Gina made her way straight for Jason, and as she got closer, she felt the mana in the air become even more dense! It was as if Gina was trying to fly through jelly with how thick the mana around her was, and Gina wondered how much mana Jason must have been releasing for there to be this much in the air. In truth, all the mana around Jason was the mana that Jason had been trying to use during his fight against Evon. Anytime Jason released mana in that fight, the world would absorb it and prevent him from being able to do anything with it, since it was a rule in that world that magic was not allowed. But now that Jason was back in the real world and magic was allowed, all of that mana was being released into the atmosphere! Gina tried her best to ignore the imposing aura, and she fought through the thick mana until she was close enough!

'What the hell is that darkness entering Jason? Is it something related to his shadow abilities? Is it some sort of curse!? Please don't be a curse! Please don't be a curse! Jason can't deal with a curse right now!'

Gina knew how crazy the world of magic really was, and she also knew that there were things out there that she could never fully understand, so she was sure that there were also magical powers that could curse people or affect them negatively, and Gina prayed to every god out there that Jason wasn't going to have to deal with something like that! But when Gina got close, she was shocked when she heard Jason growl out in irritation.

"Shut the fuck up. Fuck."

Gina's worry intensified immediately she heard this, and she sped up! Jason was standing on a large disk made from shadows, and the darkness around him was still seeping into his skin. If this were a curse, then there was a chance that touching Jason would make the curse spread to her, but Gina didn't even care as she quickly went to wrap her hand around Jason worriedly!

"Jason! Can you hear me!? Jason!"

Gina cried out to him, and Jason jolted as he came back to the real world! Jason looked down at Gina's worried face, and he tried to give her a smile so she would calm down, but he was suddenly assaulted by another screech from inside his head!

Jason cursed and put a hand up to his head as he felt an intense headache pressing against his skull! It felt like someone had taken a hot rod and pressed it into his head, and Jason felt anger building up from deep inside as he tried and failed to make the voice shut up! Was this what Evon had been trying to tell Jason before? Evon had warned Jason about the sun and how it would make him insane if he wasn't careful, and Jason hadn't thought much about it back then, but now Jason knew that there was something seriously wrong here!

'What the fuck is this!? It fucking hurts!'

The pain that Jason was feeling right now was the sheer desperation that was attached to the [Land of Lost Shadows] Attribute. As the strongest Attribute of the [Lord of Shadows] arcane arts, the [Land of Lost Shadows] possessed a will of its own that was far stronger than what the other two Arcane Art Attributes wielded. This meant that on a very low level, the Attribute was alive, and this allowed it to impose its own will and consciousness toward the user in the form of hallucinations and screeches! And the one thing that every Arcane Art Attribute wanted more than anything else was to be complete! The Arcane Art Attributes had all been divided by the Celestials that created them millennia ago, and although each individual Attribute was powerful in its own right, it didn't compare at all to the sheer power that the Arcane Art would wield if all the attributes were joined together, so all the Attributes wanted to be complete, but the [Land of Lost Shadows] was the only Attribute out of the three that had the will to actually speak up and demand completion!

The voice was a relentless screech of sheer madness that echoed through the head of anyone wielding it and tried to take over their very thoughts. Every other wielder before Jason had been driven to madness by this voice! They had been bombarded with the intensity for so long that they were no longer able to distinguish between what was their own thoughts and what was the thought put in their head by the [Land of Lost Shadows]! And the only thing that they aimed for in life was to become complete!

Jason took in deep breaths and closed his eyes as he tried to perform the mental exercise that he had learned before. Jason had already been suffering from great mental strain back when he first gained the system, and he had to order all his Legion subordinates around, but Jason had grown past that after he learned how to strengthen his mind and improve his stamina, so Jason tried to recall those mental exercises right now. Jason breathed in and out constantly, but no matter what he tried, the voice just kept on screaming! Jason felt Gina shaking him, and he snapped his eyes open to see that there were tears at the edge of her eyes as she tried to speak to him! Jason could see Gina's mouth moving as she spoke to him, but Jason couldn't hear anything! It was almost like he was inside a deep pool and Gina was speaking to him from outside! Everything was so muddy and distant, and the only thing that continued to be clear in Jason's head was the mad screech of the [Land of Lost Shadows]!
