Final Life Online

Chapter 183: Pearl Island XII

Two Days Later — Midnight of the Final Night

The two remaining days passed quietly.

Too quietly.

The workshop smelled of warm pearl dust and faint mana.

Every few hours, the reforged sword hummed—low and steady—like a heartbeat becoming stronger.

By the final night, the hum had grown deeper.

Sharper.

Almost aware.

Rhys had fallen asleep in the chair near the counter, cloak wrapped around him, arms folded.

Puddle was curled up on his lap like a glowing water droplet.

Aria was snoring on the roof.

Sophia sat meditating with her blade across her knees.

Caria was writing notes under a lantern.

Lyra stood guard in silence, eyes half-closed, sensing the flow of mana from the workshop.

Then—

Hum…

A pulse rolled through the workshop.

The lights flickered.

Puddle's eyes popped open. "Mmmh… shiny noise…"

Rhys opened one eye.

"…Why. Why in the middle of the night," he muttered tiredly as he stood up.

Another pulse.

Hum— Shhhnnng—

A faint ray of soft blue light leaked from under the workshop door.

Rhys blinked and walked in.

Inside the Workshop

The sword was floating slightly above the rack, glowing brighter than before—

silver-blue with thin aqua lines flowing across its surface like veins of light.

Lyra walked in behind him.

"It has awakened. Completely."

Rhys approached slowly.

The moment he got near—

The sword responded.

FWOOM

A gentle wave of mana brushed against his chest—not hostile, almost greeting him.

He lifted it carefully.

Its weight had changed: lighter, balanced, alive.

Aria stumbled in sleepily from outside.

"Huh… what's going… oh WOW!"

Sophia stood behind Rhys.

"Appraise it."

Puddle perked up. "Yes! Check shiny stats!"

Rhys nodded and activated his Appraisal.

A blue interface blinked into existence.

Rhys stared at the interface, stunned.

Aria's jaw dropped.

"What… what kind of MONSTER weapon is that!?"

Caria grabbed her head.

"Rhys. That sword makes you look illegal."

Sophia coughed quietly.

"It outclasses most royal relics…"

Puddle practically sparkled.

"Master is water king now!"

Lyra watched him with a faint knowing smile.

"That sword… finally remembers itself."

"Damn… as expected from a Mythic-rank weapon," Rhys said, still staring at the interface. The others were just as stunned — slack-jawed, wide-eyed, practically frozen.Stats like these… if anyone else got this blade, they'd instantly become terrifyingly powerful.

But something felt strange.

"Hmm… but why wasn't there any mention of this class in the books?" Rhys wondered quietly. He had read the whole book — but he had never heard of the Moonborne Knight or anything related to this weapon's lore.

Why? Where did this come from?

"So now," Aria said, leaning forward with a grin,

"will you finally have a class that's really a magic-swordsman type?"

Rhys nodded slowly.

He currently had two classes:

• Tamer of Ancients — mainly a magic class and an all-rounder combat style.

• Akashic Ruler — more of an auxiliary/supportive class focused on knowledge and special abilities.

Neither of them was a pure magic swordsman class.

And until now, he had only thought about getting one someday… nothing concrete.

But now, with Severance Tide — a growing Mythic weapon built exactly for a magic-swordsman type user — he finally had a real path forward.

Rhys looked at Severance Tide again… then at the three sisters.

"Not to mention," he said slowly, "this class even comes with its own weapon. It's perfect. Honestly… better than any Magic Swordsman-type class I ever imagined."

He hesitated.

Then he glanced at Aria, Sophia, and Caria.

"…Don't you guys want it?"

His question wasn't crazy.

In the entire server, there were only three known Mythical-class items, and every single one was held by some overpowered NPC or a top-tier figure.

Sure, there were rumors of hidden players owning one in secret…

But nothing confirmed.

A Mythical Class wasn't just rare — it was the kind of thing people would declare war over.

So offering it to them was no small thing.

Aria blinked. "…Huh?"

Sophia raised an eyebrow. "Rhys."

Caria looked genuinely confused. "Why would we?"

Rhys frowned. "It's a Mythical class. Stronger than anything else we know about. I just assumed—"

Aria cut him off with a laugh.

"We're not idiots. That weapon literally chose you."

Sophia folded her arms. "And your abilities line up with it more than ours ever could."

Caria nodded. "If any of us took it, we'd just be dragging it down."

Aria pointed at him dramatically.

"You're the protagonist of that sword. Not us."

Puddle chimed in, "Master is best sword-user!"

Rhys blinked, unsure how to respond.

Sophia softened a bit. "Besides… even without that sword, we're strong. And we're not the kind of team that fights over loot."

Caria smirked. "If we wanted it, you'd already be unconscious."

Aria jabbed his shoulder. "Take it. You earned it."

Rhys let out a slow breath… and nodded.

"Alright," he said quietly.

"Then I'll accept it."
