Lord of Mysterious Wizard

Chapter 619: Chairman's Invitation

In the silent scene of destruction, only Tang Qi seemed to hear a great will, half-asleep and half-awake, roaring in the dark.

The rampage of the molten furnace flames seemed to accelerate the awakening of the "Master of the Crucible," in turn giving the three "Sun Cores" that burst in succession even greater power.

A single core, even if it exploded within the stomach of a "Devouring Beast," might not be enough to kill a monster with the potential to challenge the position of "All Spirits Above Mystery."

But three cores, their power is not simply a matter of numerical increase but is close to doubling.

Such a desperate act is rarely seen even by Melter Wizards during the Dark Era.

"Sun Cores, indiscriminate damage to all beings within range...."

This information meant that the molten furnace flames would not hold back simply because Tang Qi was now the only Melter Wizard.

Although the damage to him would certainly be less than that inflicted on an evil, chaotic creature like the Devouring Beast, if he did not dodge in time, he could likewise perish in the great explosion.

At this moment, Tang Qi felt a trace of great power from the "Crucible," and the golden light flames that had lain dormant within him began to sweep through his body.

In the blink of an eye, Tang Qi's body was completely engulfed by the light flames, his eyes even flowed with extreme flames, dazzling and splendid, as if a Divine presence had descended to Earth.

"The body of the Crucible, mimicked by the Refining Method, cannot be completely immune to the damage of the Sun Core, but at this moment, it is enough."

"Chila!"

In a flash of thought, Tang Qi's hands reached out mercilessly, grabbing the Divine Attribute Crystal that was about to go berserk and forcibly extracted it from the massive flesh wall.

After he succeeded, three little fellows who had been enduring to their limits let out cries of terror, tightly wrapping around Tang Qi, and the four pets together turned into a streak of golden light, with Divine Power being generously released this moment, maintaining the Guardian Spell.

He took the lead, actively smashing through the stomach wall of the Devouring Beast, completely ignoring any obstructions along the way.

Tentacles and countless bodies were shattered by his charge.

Under the circular building of Holy Eagle Nest Mountain.

In the dark void, the Devouring Beast, which had just been struck by a horrifying punch from a "Chairman," and had consequently been thrown into turbulence, suddenly emitted some exceedingly abnormal movements within its body.

Immediately after, it clenched its big mouth shut.

Its mountain-like body began to swell bit by bit.

The sinew and fascia, marked with foul symbols, were stretched by some force, and soon, "bang, bang, bang" sounds were heard as cracks formed, and corpses, pus, and various curios were expelled, it began to transform, as if being inflated by a great existence.

This scene made both the black elder Chadwick Morgan and the Federation General's faces change dramatically.

"Fall back."

"Activate the Eagle's Nest No. 10 Mysterious Object 'Transfer Gem'."

"Activate Level 8 defense 'Mirror Space'."

Following the orders issued by the two Chairmen, numerous shadows above the darkness immediately began to move swiftly.

The first to appear were five agents who seemed to be researchers, fully armed, they brought a stone coffin and opened it directly in the void. Crimson blood and drifting dust spewed out together, covering the agents in grime.

But the five did not dare to delay for a second; inside the coffin was a plaster sculpture, grey and black, depicting a woman enduring great pain, her face filled with sorrow, brows tightly furrowed, but her eyes brimming with pity.

Yet from her plaster body, with no space unoccupied, blood and dust continuously erupted.

The five agents had clear roles: three, wearing special gloves, held down the "sculpture's" head and limbs inside the coffin, while the other two used equipment to swiftly pry out a gray-green gemstone inlaid in the sculpture's forehead.

Afterward, the agents suspended the gemstone in the void, quickly sealed the coffin, and retreated into the darkness.

Less than a second apart, on the other side, a huge mirror suddenly emerged in the darkness.

It was circular, the mirror's surface was hazy, like ghostly mist, the "substance" from above poured down, gradually forming into a pair of giant hands that steadied the mirror, aiming it directly at the stirring Devouring Beast.

In an instant, the blurry mirror surface cleared, beginning to slowly reflect the current dark void, the terrifying Devouring Beast.

"Pop"

At that moment, the swelling Devouring Beast's top burst open from inside with a tiny hole, and a streak of golden light shot out from within the hole without stopping, as if it instantly saw the final gap of the soon-to-be-completed "Mirror Space," without any diversion aimed directly at the gap.

Almost at the moment when Tang Qi's figure followed through the gap and successfully escaped the void.

The Devouring Beast exploded.

This powerful Divine Monster only had time to struggle instinctively but could not resist the internal explosion of the Crucible.

The moment Tang Qi took away its "Divine Attribute Crystal," causing the three Sun Cores to explode together, it completely lost its power to resist. Its extremely resilient, massive body, the countless corpses filling it, and those impurities.

Faced with the furnace flames, the only fate was dissolution.

Tang Qi stood inside the circular building with two Chairmen and other members of the Eagle's Nest Society, watching as a huge fireball was born in an instant, exploded fiercely, and retreated back in an instant. The red flames and glaring black spots were entirely released in the next second.

A never-before-seen "Fire Cloud" shaped like a mushroom bloomed in the darkness.

The suspended "Transfer Gem" crumbled into dust in the blink of an eye.

The mirror that dragged the explosion area into the "Mirror Space" suddenly cracked with a series of sounds reminiscent of shattering glass.

Boom!

Whoosh!

With a scorching gust of wind, everyone saw the remnants in the explosion zone—lumps of flesh, some broken and charred tentacles, some corpses charred like charcoal, and streaks of lucky luminescence shooting forth.

Each streak twinkled with radiance, emitting an aura unique to Extraordinary Artifacts.

Seeing this, Tang Qi showed no sign of surprise. The power of the three Sun Cores was indeed unparalleled, but he knew they couldn't have completely vaporized a "Devouring Beast." Undoubtedly, it was killed, but some inheritance was left behind.

Or rather, gifts.

The Information Fragment revealed to Tang Qi:

This test subject, tagged "HG26," was created by a member of the so-called "Great Vitsdon Species," a mysterious alien race known as "Engineer," before they trapped the "Devouring Beast" inside the body of Howard Roland.

In its Juvenile phase, the Devouring Beast had already completely devoured all life on an Exotic Realm planet.

"Most of it has been digested by It, forming Its current size, but many still reside within, including some Extraordinary Artifacts and corpses imbued with Divine Power, some even becoming parts of Its digestive system."

"The death of the Devouring Beast also heralded an Explosion of Mysterious Objects."

"Whoosh!"

The moment Tang Qi's thoughts stirred, a streak of light pierced through the Mist, whizzing past his ear towards the circular building above.

But it hadn't gone far when, with a snap, Gluttony, with a wave of its strap, intercepted the streak of light.

Tang Qi slightly turned his head, and into his sight came a hammer with an unusual design.

Its handle, seemingly unable to withstand the "digestion" of the Devouring Beast and the explosion of the Sun Core, had started to crumble like a burnt-out matchstick, turning into ashes and falling apart, but the peculiar hammerhead was preserved within a layer of Radiance.

What even surprised Tang Qi was that the hammerhead was actually composed of bones, wrapping around a "book" the size of an infant's head.

Almost immediately, an Information Fragment in Tang Qi's mind was on the verge of bursting open.

However, he wasn't in a hurry to read it at this moment.

He signaled Gluttony to consume the item and then instructed the three Little Guys not to pick up any stray Mysterious Objects or chunks of corpses with Transcendent energy.

"Although dealing with the Devouring Beast is the responsibility of the Holy Eagle Nest Society, I have already gained the most from this venture: I saved Rose's Life, harvested a Divine Attribute Crystal imbued with 'Devouring Power,' and collected a vast array of Curios from the belly of the Devouring Beast... Releasing some goodwill is necessary."

As Tang Qi thought so, he still couldn't help but quickly scan the void to make sure there were no Mysterious Objects that could provoke a strong response from his Special Ability.

As soon as he withdrew his gaze, three figures appeared at his side.

Rose Madeline and two Chairmen.

Firstly, Tang Qi looked at his friend Rose, with a complex expression, offering a comforting gaze, then turned to the two Chairmen—one a black elderly gentleman in a white suit and the other, meeting for the first time, a Big Man in Federation General attire.

Hmm?

At first glance, Tang Qi saw two pairs of eyes, barely concealing their eager anticipation.

...

"Dear Chairmen, I am willing to join the 'Craftsman'; as for the Eagle Scholar and the Sword Holder, I need to think it over," Tang Qi replied somewhat reluctantly in the circular building filled with swirling black Mist.

The battlefield below had already been cleared, and because Tang Qi had 'voluntarily yielded,' both parties were pleased.

At the moment, Tang Qi needed to address the enthusiastic invitations from "Chadwick Morgan" and "Edward Clark," the two Chairmen of the Eagle's Nest Association.

If it were an ordinary Transcendent, receiving a joint invitation from these two would likely make them ecstatic.

Aside from their status as Chairmen, in the real world, these two were bona fide members of the Divine Eagle Federation's ruling class. The former, the current leader of the Morgan family, is distinct from families like the Loring Family, which have a noble heritage but are diminishing in Influence.

The Morgan family has been a top family since the foundation of the Federation, never weakening, and with the passage of Time, becoming even more fearsome.

As for the latter, Edward Clark, he is one of the heaviest generals of the Federation Military.

On the Mysterious Side, both have reached the "Legendary Level," though it was through the utilization of profound resources rather than through long periods of cultivation, their combat power is undoubtedly solid.

Through the invitations of these two Chairmen, Tang Qi could vaguely understand his current status in the Federation's Extraordinary World.

"Even the identity of a Melter Wizard is not frowned upon? Could it be that the times have changed?"

Tang Qi politely responded while inwardly muttering.
