A Terrible Villain And Their Destiny

Chapter 159: There Is An Interlude

Dwight Henry stood there staring at his reflection in the mirror in front of him. He gingerly touched his face to feel if it really was there. It was real, but his head couldn't fathom it. This wasn't him, he was not Dwight Henry, this wasn't his face, this wasn't his body. He was supposed to be Owen Fen, but evidently not anymore, now he was Dwight Henry.

Here he was, staring at this foreign but yet recognizable face of his. With bright fiery red hair and such a lean body. All these features were of the harem protagonist of the game 'Ex-arm of Destruction: The Chaos Generation'. A much-loved game in the local circles that Owen was in, well back when he was on Earth at least.

Dwight as he tried to wrap his head around everything tried to recall what had happened. He remembered walking down the street with his headphones on when he moved past someone working on a powerline.

He wasn't paying attention and was walking through a puddle when he thought he heard someone yelling at him. Before he could take off his headphones he was met with darkness and then the voice of a woman before he woke up here.

Did I die? He wondered. Then did I reincarnate or transmigrate here? But why? He tried to recall what the voice had said. Right, she said I was chosen for great things, she told me her name… it was… Afa.

Taking a moment to think of the name it clicked with him as he realized who she was. She was Afa, the game's heroic goddess there to help the protagonist. Well not Dwight directly usually, she was more so focused on a couple of the harem targets acting as a guide and guardian of sorts.

So then did Afa bring me here when I died? I did one hundred percent the game, even the new DLCs and hardcore mode. The game is hard to beat. Maybe she needed help to save this world. He concluded as he thought more about the game.

As Dwight Henry he was a boy of decent standing entering The Academy, the most prestigious school in all of Strarth. There he goes through his magical high school life fighting monsters and bad guys while stealing the hearts of a multitude of girls.

Wait, I'm in a world of magic! He realized. That means I have magic as Dwight! He thought getting more excited before calming himself down again. Okay, but I need to figure out my powers and the date right now. He thought as he pried his eyes away from the mirror and looked around his room.

He remembered how the game wasn't just gathering hot babes around to create a harem, but it was also about having to go through events. Many of those events were dangerous and depending on the difficulty set for the game could be near impossible to beat.

But he beat the game in hardcore mode before, sure it took a few tries but he did it. If Afa needed him to help save the world then he would do it. He could sit and plan and create contingencies, he remembered the events of the game quite well he just needed to write it down.

"Dwight! Come down for breakfast!" A voice called out, a voice he recognized, it was his mother.

"Coming!" He yelled back down before he took another look at his reflection. He was Dwight Henry and he was going to conquer this game once more.

"I still can't believe we had to do this." Bryson grumbled as he stared down at the piece of paper that was left to him by Orchid. It was a copy of his timetable for his first semester along with info for his room and student services. Though this was not what he was really focused on.

His mind focused more on who she said he would be sharing classes with, "The U class? Why do I have to be in the U class?" He complained loudly. Orchid had already left to return back to Ustrin leaving Sable and him alone to go through their student info.

"Why are you complaining? The U class is supposed to be one of the prestigious ones." Sable asked.

"Because the U class is usually filled with weirdos. Talented people who are annoying to be around, most of the controversies have them as the source." Bryson explained remembering the few news articles he had read in the past.

"Sounds perfect for you then."

"Oh shut up." Bryson growled before asking, "I can't believe most of your basic combat classes are all heavy weapons training."

"What? You have a problem with that?"

"That shows how much of a meathead you are."

"Shut up. My magic is good enough that I don't need to focus on it too much. Besides I'm going to take charge of the troops in this continent when I get older, bookworm." She said crossing her arms at him.

"You're just jealous that you have the fundamentals of a middle schooler."

"Shut up, not everyone gets top-of-the-line mages to teach them."

"We're from the same family, I remember you having a rotating door of swordsmen teaching you at any given time."

"That's because I can actually use a sword." She taunted back.

"You know what another issue I have is?" Bryson said changing topics, "The fact you get your own rented home but I have to live in the boy's dorm?"

"You get your own room, it's like a full apartment."

"Yeah but you get your own house! It's unfair."

"Complain to mother and father then." Sable said as she stashed her papers away and began to walk off, sticking her tongue out at him as she did.

"Real mature." Bryson grumbled.

Susan Whitney crumpled to the ground, hands clutching at her head as she screamed. She yelled so hard she could feel her vocal cords tear as she did so, yet her screaming didn't stop. In fact it was the only thing that she could do right now with all the pain. She couldn't speak, she couldn't think.

She simply laid curled up on the ground in her room and screamed as Hallow calmly watched over her with a bemused smile on her face. This Susan girl was meant to head off to The Academy as a regular student. Hallow didn't want that however, he wanted her to be number six.

"I'll need to play around with the timetable a little bit but don't worry, you'll get to school no issue, albeit just a little bit late." Hallow said as she continued screaming. Hallow then turned towards the rest of the family, her younger brother and parents. They all stood still like statues staring off into nothingness with blank expressions on their faces.

"Don't worry your family won't remember this, a bit too much trauma for this if they were too." Hallow said to Susan who really couldn't hear him right now.

Hallow not really minding the lack of responses from her perused around the living room observing the furniture, "Honestly, violently mashing both minds into one body is a lot more interesting than what I did with the others. Though this sort of bends the rules with our deal, but hey, I was getting bored." He said as he moved towards the exit.

As his hand wrapped around the handle he turned back towards Susan as she continued to sob in pain, "After another hour or so your head will be settled. It'll be interesting to see how you turn out, don't die on me now!" Hallow said as he left Susan to her torment.
