There really wasn't much to discuss in the end since it was simple.
There was only one way to solve this and it was to take care of the Thunder Boar that was causing this mess.
However, standing in the way to the Thunder Boar was the large monster stampede that was coming towards the village.
That meant that to even reach the Thunder Boar, we had to cut our way through these monsters until we could reach it.
If the monsters were acting normally, then it would have been possible to use Iris' dragon aura to pressure them and make them back down. But since they were filled with fear because of the Thunder Boar that was behind them, they wouldn't have been affected by the dragon aura that Iris released.
They would be too busy fleeing for their lives to even notice this.
As such, the only thing that could be done was to cut a path through them.
Iris actually offered to do it herself since it was easy with her dragon breath, but the villagers actually rejected this suggestion from her. Even though it made her angry, they still raised a rejection to this.
That was all because they had a better idea of how to solve this matter.
They were going to fight the monsters themselves and clear the path.
Iris narrowed her eyes to look at the monsters of the village when she heard this before saying with a snort, "Just with you?"
If it wasn't for the fact that I was the chief of this village, then she wouldn't have ended things with just this. There was certainly more that Iris could have done instead of just saying this, but she let them off with just this warning because I was the chief.
The villagers naturally revealed awkward looks when they heard this, but it wasn't as if they had said this for no reason.
The truth was that they had become stronger because of their growth in the village and they wanted this chance to show off how much they had grown.
But in the eyes of a dragon like Iris, it still wasn't close to being enough.
In fact, most of them weren't even strong enough to make a scratch on the Thunder Boar.
Still, it didn't mean that they wouldn't be helpful.
I could see the look in their eyes that showed the way that they felt, so I said to Iris, "Just let them give it a try, it's not as if there's anything to lose from letting them try."
She gave another snort, but it didn't seem like she was going to reject this.
Though it was clear that she was just doing this on my behalf, which was why I gave her a grateful smile.
I could see that there was a blush that appeared on her face when she saw this, but I chose not to say anything about this.
Still, there was a part of me that was worried about the villagers wanting to fight.
The monsters that were coming were from deeper into the forest, that meant that they certainly weren't weaker than us. In fact, they were without a doubt much stronger than the monsters that lived in this village.
Even if they had grown stronger, it wasn't as if this would be enough to take out all of these monsters that were charging out.
Still, it was hard to say anything when they looked like this.
So the only thing that I could do was hope that they would do their best and help if anything went wrong.
With the variety of skills that I possessed, it would be easy for me to help them if something came up after all.
But it wasn't as if I would go out of my way to help them since this was something that they decided on.
I would see how they would do it.
…
"They're quite strong, aren't they?" I couldn't help asking Iris as we watched the monsters from our village fighting the monsters from the stampede.
She didn't say anything at first, but eventually she gave a nod of agreement.
After all, it was hard to deny this when it was right there in front of us.
The monsters from our village weren't having a problem cutting down those monsters that were coming out from the stampede. With how easy it was, it was almost as if they were bullying those monsters.
Even though those monsters should have been stronger than them since they were from a race of monsters that were considered higher in grade than the monsters from our village.
It was strange watching them cut through the monsters from the stampede like this, but they certainly did grow stronger during this time.
It seemed that they had gained quite a bit of power too.
For the kobolds, the real problem that they had was that they didn't have enough materials to build strong weapons to fight with. They needed these strong weapons if they wanted to become stronger.
I had provided them with these resources, so they had been able to craft the weapons that they needed to become stronger.
Though the way that they held their weapons…
Since they looked like dogs, they didn't actually fight with their weapons in their hands. Rather, they fought with their weapons in their mouths since they fought on all four legs…
For the wood nymphs, they actually gathered their power to raise wood puppets that crushed monsters in their way. These wood puppets were giant compared to the monsters after all, so the monsters didn't actually stand a chance.
This was all because of the abundant nature energy that they absorbed from the plants that we had them grow.
It made them far stronger than they had been previously.
As for the other monsters, there were all kinds of things that they had gained from their time at our village and had all grown much stronger than before.
There wasn't a single one of them that hadn't grown from the time they spent in our village.
