Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel

Chapter 79: Departure for the Church Authority Country!

Charlotte does not believe in coincidences.

Especially not in such "coincidences" that present themselves.

Compared to coincidences, Charlotte believes more that the intelligence Albrecht brought was a carefully woven inevitability.

No...

More accurately, it's not just Charlotte who thinks so; she believes anyone listening to Albrecht's report would feel that the intelligence is full of hidden motives.

It might very well be the reason why Albrecht came all this way to see her personally.

But this is exactly what puzzles Charlotte.

This intelligence is rife with dubious points, almost as if it were announcing "the theocratic state has a conspiracy brewing," with the core objective clearly being to lure Charlotte to the theocratic state.

So here's the question.

There are various ways to lure Charlotte to the theocratic state, regardless of who they are. Why choose such a roundabout and suspicious method?

Moreover, the relationship between Charlotte and Albrecht is only known to them, yet the existence of intelligence transmitted through Albrecht clearly suggests that these people knew the intelligence would reach her.

With this in mind, Charlotte gave a scrutinizing look at Albrecht.

Swept by those deep crimson-gold eyes, Albrecht, this Demon Bloodline, shivered instantly and raised his hands in a hurry to swear:

"Great True Ancestor, I have not betrayed you! You know me, I have long been your Blood Servant, if I were to betray you, you would know immediately."

Charlotte withdrew her gaze.

She didn't think Albrecht would betray her, as he said, after becoming a Blood Servant, his every move and thought were within Charlotte's perception. He had neither the way nor the opportunity to betray her.

Charlotte only suspected whether there existed a being beyond the worldly, who had somehow gleaned her secret with Albrecht through means she didn't understand.

Albrecht is a Legendary, mundane powers couldn't harm him, but if there's Mythical presence peeking at his secrets in some way, it's a slight possibility.

Moreover... being able to bypass Charlotte, the opponent must be very powerful.

Then a new question arises.

If the "messenger" were truly such a Mythical being, is it necessary to employ such trouble?

Inducing Charlotte in such a way that alerts her actually seems like a "benevolent warning."

Reminding her the theocratic state is against her, "reminding" her that it has learned some of her secrets...

"So... Your Majesty True Ancestor, after hearing all I said, do you still intend to proceed as originally planned?"

Seeing Charlotte's silence, Albrecht cautiously asked.

Charlotte came out of her thoughts and nodded:

"Go, why not go? Since those who informed you of these facts so desire my personal visit to the theocratic state, surely I can't disappoint them."

"However..."

Charlotte's tone shifted as she gazed out the window, her azure eyes reflecting the lush canopy:

"Whether this is merely the conspiracy of the theocratic state, or a certain being's 'benevolent warning', maybe... we'll find out within a few days."

After Albrecht came to visit, he stayed on in Falling Star City.

This was Charlotte's order, as she planned to take this Legendary Bloodline with her to the theocratic state.

Upon hearing Charlotte intended to bring him along, Albrecht's face turned nearly green.

He had no choice, for that was the theocratic state, the heartland of the Holy Royal Court; for someone of the dark faction like the Bloodline, going there was akin to a death sentence.

But of course, Charlotte wasn't sending him to his death.

She simply valued his legendary strength and intended to secretly bring along an extra bodyguard, nothing more.

As for the other companions on this journey, Charlotte had made her considerations.

Nisi was definitely one to accompany.

The theocratic state lies in the heart of the Xi Younai Empire, and per their planned route, the journey there should pass through the Moon God Coast City States.

According to Nisi's model, there exists an undiscovered Faceless Divine Statue there, and Charlotte planned to take the opportunity to investigate.

With Nisi traveling together, he could recalculate the model, helping Charlotte pinpoint the location.

Aside from that, Nisi was quite familiar with the Holy Royal Court and knew many within the Church, which would make things more convenient for Charlotte.

And, if necessary, Nisi could continue to act as Charlotte's double.

Charlotte also intended to bring Sebastian along, serving as an accompanying steward.

In the past three and a half years, much work in the Falling Star Kingdom had progressed with Charlotte's throne gaining stability as the Nais Clan submitted and the Falling Star Nobles recognized her—a stability that no longer required this Chief of Internal Affairs to stay constantly present.

"Great Master, Sebastian finally has a chance to accompany you once again! After three and a half years, Sebastian truly missed you dearly!"

Upon receiving the news, Sebastian returned posthaste from the northern coast, kneeling on one knee with an expression of immense excitement.

After three and a half years, naturally both master and servant caught up with each other, and after Sebastian finished reporting on the work he had accomplished during those three and a half years, Charlotte shifted her focus to himself.

She could clearly sense that Sebastian's aura was significantly stronger than it was three and a half years ago. Although he had yet to step into the legendary realm, he was already not comparable to a typical Blazing Sun.

Clearly, after completely removing the curse from his body and having his divine soul mended by Charlotte with Blood Divine Power, Sebastian's path of transcendence was once again fully opened.

"Sebastian, it looks like your strength has restored quite well. It seems in a short time, you should be able to attempt a breakthrough into the legendary realm."

Charlotte said with a smile.

"I owe it all to you. It is your greatness that has given me rebirth, and I will forever be your most loyal servant!"

Sebastian said with reverence and fervor.

"Oh, right, have there been any new developments regarding the witch who was chasing you over the past few years?"

As if recalling something, Charlotte asked.

Ever since the tracking mark placed by the Pure White Witch on Sebastian was removed, the Salem Clan's pursuit of Sebastian had ceased.

However, the fact that Sebastian is now under Falling Star Queen's employ had already spread across the continent, and even without a tracking mark, everyone knew he was serving under Charlotte's command.

Upon hearing Charlotte's words, Sebastian's expression became somewhat subtle.

He nodded and replied:

"There was one conflict. After you fell asleep in the second year, I was attacked by assassins from the Salem Clan once. But after I took them down, there has been no further incidents."

"I suppose they have realized that I am not a target that can be easily hunted anymore."

Charlotte nodded slightly.

Sebastian's strength had long been restored and had taken several steps further.

To defeat him, one would have to use a Holy Artifact or Divine Artifact, otherwise only those of the legendary realm could challenge him.

As for the Pure White Witch of the Salem Clan... her strength was merely comparable to a Blazing Sun.

Under these circumstances, continuing to hunt him was naturally impossible.

Of course, this doesn't mean that the grievances between Sebastian and the Pure White Witch were resolved.

"Sebastian, in Coria Kingdom, you should have quite a few acquaintances as well?"

Charlotte asked.

Sebastian's expression seemed a bit unnatural:

"Kind of... yes."

Charlotte smiled slightly:

"On our return trip, I think perhaps we could take a detour to Coria. I'm quite curious to see what kind of being the Pure White Witch who has hunted you for over ten years is."

Sebastian's heart stirred:

"My great master, are you... intending to subdue the Salem Clan?"

Charlotte gave no definitive answer.

If she could subdue them, it would be ideal. She was quite curious about Salem, the currently most active Bloodline Clan on the Mireya Continent, which had managed to stand against Coria Kingdom and the Holy Royal Court for many years. The strength of the Salem Clan could not be underestimated.

Since it was decided to head to the Church Authority Country, a detour on the way back, Charlotte felt, was also reasonable.

Once the entourage was decided, Charlotte ordered Sebastian and Nisi to prepare.

It is worth mentioning that upon learning of Charlotte's plans to head to the Church Authority Country, many Falling Star Nobles hoped to accompany her.

However, Charlotte graciously declined them.

As Charlotte stated, she is visiting the Church Authority Country in the capacity of a "Saintess," and it is not appropriate to bring too many secular nobles.

Of course, she did not leave without any Falling Star Nobles accompanying her, as she was a queen of a nation visiting, and Charlotte did not intend to make a secret visit. The necessary specifications of the envoy group were maintained, and the queen's travel standards were upheld as it reflects the dignity of a nation.

Even if Charlotte didn't mind, the Falling Star Nobles hold it in high regard.

Ultimately, Charlotte chose Marquis Howard, the Chief of Internal Affairs and Foreign Minister of the Falling Star Kingdom, as the official representative of the envoy group.

As for the kingdom, Charlotte appointed Count Stafford as regent, overseeing the kingdom's affairs during her absence from Falling Star.

These two Falling Star Nobles were among the earliest core supporters of Charlotte, and currently, they are staunch "Queen Party" supporters and are Charlotte's trusted aides among the Falling Star Nobles.

And on the fourth day of Charlotte's awakening, a new message came over from the Church Authority Country.

The Church Authority Country officially announced that in this ceremony, offerings will be presented to the Divine Lord, and many dark artifacts, including the Curse Cup and Curse Book Pages, will be publicly destroyed.

Upon receiving this message, Charlotte finally confirmed some of her suspicions.

A message doesn't need to be conveyed twice.

Clearly, the forces that went in circles using Albrecht's "reminders" of her existence and the church forces announcing this in public were not the same.

Of course, whether it was the same force or not would not affect Charlotte's decision.

And a week after Charlotte's awakening, with all preparations complete, Charlotte embarked on the journey to the Church Authority Country escorted by five hundred carefully selected Personal Guard Knights.
