"Do we really have to ask privacy questions?"
Sonia held back a laugh: "If this continues, everyone's embarrassing histories will be exposed."
"Yes!" Adelle said firmly: "Otherwise, it won't be fun!"
Initially, they just wanted to get Sonia drunk for a peaceful night in the dorm, but unexpectedly, there was a pleasant surprise; during the drinking game, Sonia was actually willing to honestly reveal information about 'that person.' How could they miss this opportunity?
"Alright then, I've never..." Sonia thought for a moment, "spit in a roommate's food."
She raised her bottle towards Adelle as a gesture and took a sip herself out of courtesy.
Adelle had no choice and took a sip as well.
"Adelle!" Lois exclaimed in shock: "How could you—"
"But Lois, you were really in a bad mood those few days." Adelle said helplessly: "And it's not like you were the only one on your period. I was in a bad mood too, plus a bit of menstrual pain... Seeing your grumpy face was both annoying and arrogant, so it's quite normal for me to play a prank!"
Lois was stunned, "I thought you got caught by Sonia... You actually dared to spit in my food! That's disgusting!"
"Is that disgusting?" Adelle wasn't willing to be scolded and, slightly tipsy, retaliated immediately: "I've never used a roommate's toothbrush to scrub the window sill!"
The atmosphere in the dorm froze. Ingrid turned to look at Sonia, only to see Sonia downing her drink in one go.
Noticing the surprised look from the swordsman girl, the village girl explained: "I always place my toothbrush in a fixed position and change it once there's anything abnormal. Hmm, but I shouldn't have drunk to that, as I used her toothbrush to scrub the toilet."
"But Lois, feeling guilty or traumatized, threw away her toothbrush after every use that whole month, so I just ended up cleaning the toilet in vain."
However, Adelle's revelation also enraged Lois, who had always been fortunate throughout her life, with only a few people like Sonia ever getting the better of her. Adelle was certainly not among them, "I've never called anyone 'Master!'"
Adelle's face turned bright red, "You actually eavesdropped on me showering!"
"I didn't intentionally eavesdrop, being a Water Mage of the Water Technique Faction, I could clearly make out strange noises in the water flow." Lois mocked: "But I didn't expect you to be so absorbed in shadow dramas, merely watching wasn't enough; you even want to act it out in real life. Slave, prisoner, inspector, teacher, student, Shadow Actress, and there's even a housewife... Every time you shower, I put down my work to attentively listen to the audio show you put on with your fiancé. Ha, what other surprises do you have for me?"
Adelle was trembling, biting her lip, tears seemingly about to fall. Seeing her like this, Lois sobered up a bit, wondering if she went too far.
But at that moment, Adelle squeezed out a few notes from her mouth: "I've never... secretly, while everyone was in the dorm, under the covers... also during class, under the desk... oh, and once outside—"
"A—delle!"
Lois screamed, lunging forward to wrestle with Adelle.
Sonia and Ingrid immediately made room for them to fight, not because they were heartless, but because the situation was evenly matched: Water Mages have the least combat power among mages, and Lois does not like to exercise and maintains her figure by dieting, making her very weak. Meanwhile, Adelle is well-fed, well-rested, and volunteers every weekend, so she's in great shape. As long as Lois doesn't use her Technique Spirit, Adelle actually has an advantage.
More importantly, after spilling each other's embarrassing secrets like this, it wasn't something that 'apologies' could simply remedy; it needed to be settled with physical confrontation.
Coincidentally, Sonia and Ingrid both agreed with this fist-to-flesh way of resolving issues. Rather than stopping them, they'd rather let them have a good fight to vent their grievances, naturally making up after they're worn out.
Sonia walked to the balcony, leaning against the railing, with Ingrid following her out. She then asked the Sword Saint, "What exactly do you guys want today?"
"You noticed?"
"I've been considering getting Lois drunk since first year to see her lose control, but she doesn't like alcohol; she doesn't touch a drop." Sonia gestured towards the room: "Look how poorly they handle their liquor."
"So you did it on purpose earlier?" Ingrid leaned against the railing, asking.
"Just wanted to shift the topic away from myself." Sonia shrugged, "I didn't expect it to work so well, instantly tearing apart their fragile friendship."
"They just got drunk. Once they sober up, they'll be back to normal." Ingrid said: "Unlike you."
"What do you mean?"
"Haven't you noticed how problematic you've been this month?" Ingrid sighed: "Bad temper, insomnia, and staying up late aside, but you often zone out, sometimes suddenly burst into tears, and your swordsmanship training has been at a minimal level. Do you know what people on the forum say about you? They say you're really just a village girl at heart, no longer making progress, flaunting your Holy Domain Realm to do whatever you please..."
"I'm not, I just..."
"Of course, I don't believe that nonsense, but I've seen your status with my own eyes," Ingrid said. "Adelle nailed it, your symptoms can be summed up in three words—long-distance relationship. Anxious and confused, unattainable desires, your thoughts entirely focused on the person you like, leaving no room for considering how to improve your swordsmanship."
