"ARGH!" A thunderous roar was heard as the leader of the dark forces burst out of the building he was hurled into by Max, his face twisted and contorted in pure rage as he glared ahead at the dragon standing there without any care in the world whatsoever.
The shattered pieces of concrete slid off his shoulders as he stomped forward, his breath coming out in heavy bursts that carried raw hatred.
The civilians far back and members of the pincer gang froze as they watched the battle, unsure who was going to win just by those two exchanges from the two.
How dare you?!" The vessel thundered as he put pressure on his feet. He blasted forward at such immense force that he almost looked like a blur and that was because the others weren't able to track his movements, but not Max as he appeared directly in front of the dragon. The wind split around him and the ground trembled under every step he took.
"I will kill you!" The man roared, his fist rocketing forward at blistering speed towards the dragon's face.
Lifting his hand in front of his face calmly, his scales gleamed as the fist struck his forearm with thunderous force.
The impact carried enough power to throw a human off their feet and hurl them away but surprisingly, to everybody watching, Max remained standing, he refused to budge an inch. The ground cracked further under him but he stayed rooted like a mountain refusing to bow to a storm.
He remained there, eyes glowing as he smirked at the vessel standing right in front of him.
"Hiyah!" The vessel grunted as it pushed its fist forward and then swung the second one from the side in a hook at full speed. The next second, Max's hand shot forth grabbing the whole arm and stopping it dead in its track. A gust of wind exploded outward and the street lights flickered from the pressure.
The ground cracked beneath their feet as the vessel put more pressure trying to move its hands but it was to no avail. His muscles strained, veins bulged and his teeth gritted but Max's grip did not loosen for a second.
"Honestly," Max began as he put more pressure on his hands. A cracking sound filled the air coming from the vessel's bones, the man's eyes widening in horror in an instant.
"I don't know what gave you the idea that you could harm me." The dragon completed his words and in the next second, he hurled his head forward. In the blink of an eye, his horns connected with the leader of the dark forces' head with such immense force that a loud bang echoed through the entire street.
The horns pierced through the head, blood spraying out as he let go of his hands causing the demon vessel to stagger backwards in pain. But just like a real demon would, its wounds were already beginning to heal as Max stood in one spot, refusing to move an inch. His breathing remained slow, steady and unbothered as if he had only swatted away a fly.
"ARGH! AHHHH! How dare you injure me?!" The man roared in pure rage as the black in its eyes began to swirl harder. His claws glowed brighter, so did its feet, and in a flash, it blasted towards Max at immense speed. The ground under his launch point shattered into a crater.
'Hpmh… it has grown faster. But I still don't feel threatened.' Max thought with a sigh as the vessel appeared in front of him in the twinkle of an eye. The air around them vibrated like it was struggling to keep up.
Its fist shot towards Max's face again at immense speed and the dragon was about to duck down to avoid it but as if sensing this, the vessel suddenly switched tactics and swung its foot from below, striking Max right in the face with thunderous force.
The sudden blow caught him fully, sending the dragon skidding inches away as pain throbbed in his head. Dust rose around him and the asphalt cracked with each slide of his feet.
Before he could regain his footing though, the vessel darted forth, appearing in front of him in a flash. Kicking off the ground, he spun around for a second and hammered his toes right into Max's neck.
The force and strength from the kick were enough to lift Max from his feet and hurl him into the distance. But before he could go far, his tail snapped from his backside and stabbed right into the ground like a hot knife ploughing through butter, bringing his whole body to a halt.
He landed on his knees smoothly, the throbbing pain in his body immediately reducing and almost gone as he glared at the vessel, grinning his way.
"Okay, that does it." Max mumbled as his calves bulged widely. Like a cannon, he blasted forward at astonishing speed, appearing directly in front of the demon vessel who was more than prepared for an attack. It swung its claws towards the dragon's face.
But mid-dash, Max swiftly leaned backward, letting the claws pass above his head. He then shot upright, kicked off the ground, and spun around, letting his tail lash out, striking the vessel in the face and sending him skidding away across the cracked asphalt.
'I almost forgot that I'm a dragon and not a human. Time to stop fighting like a human and fight like what I truly am,' Max thought inwardly with a frown on his face. He refused to let the man steady his footing and darted forward again with blinding speed.
"AHHH!" The leader roared, jerking his head backward and swinging it forward with his mouth wide open while Max was already upon him.
Belch!
A dark liquid shot from the vessel's mouth, streaking through the air towards Max's face, but he swiftly pivoted aside, letting it strike the ground and burn a crater through it. Before he could regain his footing, the leader was already in front of him again. His leg whipped out at immense speed, causing a loud cracking sound as if a whip had been swung.
Max twisted on one foot, narrowly avoiding the leg. He locked it into his arms, halting it instantly as the ground beneath them cracked violently. In one smooth motion, he spun around, hammering the man right into the ground with all his might. Blood shot from the vessel's nose as the impact sent vibrations through the area.
The cracked ground beneath their feet shattered further with each movement. The remaining two dark forces in the midst of the Pincer gang wanted to move but fear froze them in place as they watched in horror.
Their leader was being hammered into the ground while the dragon crouched above him, eyes flashing yellow, a menacing snarl escaping his jaws.
