"Anton, what about your dire bear? Can you craft a tablet that would summon such a monster?" Charlie asked, and every one of his previous squad members looked at him, interested in the answer.

The Dire Bear was huge and extremely powerful and could probably survive by itself, unlike the dire wolves that needed to be in a pack to achieve a good survival rate.

"I tried making one, but gold is not a powerful enough material for the magic that would summon a Dire Bear to take. I haven't experimented on many powerful materials since I have too much going on, and since I could summon the Dire Bear without any need for any materials, I did not prioritize it. Besides, the Dire Wolf is powerful enough, and I think because of its size, which is smaller than the Dire Bear, it is more advantageous since you could bring it almost anywhere, unlike the bear, which needed a larger space."

"How powerful is your Dire Bear summoned by a tablet, if you could make one, compared to the Dire Wolf?" Menard asked.

"The Dire Bear is listed in my magic system as a higher spell compared to the Dire Wolf. I'm thinking that the power difference between the two, if they both came from a tablet, would be the same as the difference between my actual summons, which, admittedly, is great. It would probably take 15 to 20 Dire Wolves to take down a Dire Bear. I think. I'm not exactly sure without doing the actual experiment. Right now, though, I have no plans to continue my experiments on creating a tablet that would summon a Dire Bear. The materials that I would need are going to be prohibitively expensive," Anton shrugged.

"I think you should continue studying it. I'm extremely surprised at how economical the wolves are in terms of feeding them. Based on my observations, even if they don't receive the daily undead flesh, a regular adventurer would be able to provide food to a dire wolf without any problem, since its cost would be the same as feeding a regular person. I'm guessing that the Dire Bear would be just a tad more. Have you tested how long your actual summon would last if you don't dismiss them?" Captain Leonard asked.

"I haven't, but I'm guessing that if I don't dismiss them, it would probably take a very long time for them before they would need mana to continue their existence and since they're connected to me, the mana they would need would come from me and my mana regeneration is powerful enough that even if they siphon some mana from me, I probably wouldn't notice," Anton said contemplatively.

"I saw that you can also summon birds. Aside from ravens, can you summon other birds, like maybe an eagle?" Charlie asked.

Anton remembered that Charlie was a druid but specialized in casting plant spells instead of animal spells. The summoned animals must have let him feel like a true druid.

"No, I can only summon ravens. I did craft some tablets that would let you summon miniature animals. I made them for my relatives to be treated as toys, and I have some left," Anton said.

He had more than twenty tablets each for the tiny ravens and tiny spirit wolves, so he gave his squad members each one of the summoned tiny animals. Anton could see that Captain Leonard was about to decline, but everyone else excitedly accepted the tablets and immediately used them.

The people nearby were startled when Suvina, Fran, and Mauri suddenly shouted when they saw the tiny ravens and the tiny spirit wolves.

"They're so cute!" Suvina exclaimed, and even the men looked extremely delighted.

"They can fight a little, but if you don't want them to die, don't use them to fight. You can use the raven to send each other letters, though," Anton told everyone.

"How can anyone allow these cute babies to fight! They're so lovely," Mauri said loudly.

"When I gave them to my friends and relatives, to differentiate each other's pets, we tied different colored and patterned scarves on their necks," Anton commented.

Captain Leonard still had not used the two tablets that would summon the tiny raven and tiny spirit wolf, but was looking torn. Anton knew that the captain probably wanted to decline since the tablets were made of gold and were likely priced high enough that it would be difficult for each of his squad members to afford them at their regular price.

"You don't need to worry too much, Captain. Just use them. You can pay me 10 gold each for the tablets, and you can pay me anytime," Anton said.

The tiny animals looked extremely adorable, and the captain could not help himself and used the tablets. Soon, he had his own tiny raven and tiny spirit wolves.

Since their shift was about to end, a lot of people gathered to look at the summoned tiny animals that their squad suddenly had. Everyone looked envious, and someone inquired if they were for sale.

"Please tell those who inquired that they are not for sale. I don't have the time to make more of them. The ones I gave you were the remaining ones in my inventory," Anton whispered to Captain Leonard, and the captain assured him that he would tell those who inquired about what he said.

After several more minutes of chatting, Anton could see that his previous squad member's attention was all on their new pets, so he said his goodbyes and returned to his apartment.

Inside his apartment, Anton prepared himself to focus on leveling up his ladder Amazon character, but after a few minutes, he heard a knock on his door. When he opened it, it was Cedon inquiring about the tiny animals that he had given to his previous squad.

"Supreme Cedon, the tiny animals can't help Mendoza to fight the undead. I made them before when I had the time, but now I truly don't. The ones I gave my friends were leftover inventory from before," Anton said exasperatedly.

"Hey, I'm just inquiring," Cedon said wryly.

Anton just rolled his eyes because he was aware that the inquiry came from the civilian sons and daughters of influential people. In a world where there were no phones and social media, he was a little impressed at how fast information spread. It would be understandable if the said information were relevant, but even those inconsequential things not related to the defense of the kingdom spread extremely fast. Anton just shook his head and went back to leveling up his ladder Amazon character when Cedon left.

By the time he stopped leveling up for the day, his character had leveled up to level sixty. When he woke up from his rest, he joined the other wizards on top of the wall to defend the kingdom of Mendoza against the undead horde again. Before the army arrived, Anton was a little startled that, aside from Cedon, other wizards inquired about his tiny ravens and tiny spirit wolves.

Anton was so annoyed that he gave all the remaining tablets for summoning tiny ravens and tiny spirit wolves, which were around ten of each, to Cedon and told the young supreme wizard that that was all he had left and that Cedon could think about how much he would sell them for.

"I'm not going to sell these. I'll use them to increase your reputation, which is much more advantageous for you," Cedon said wryly.

Anton would have said that he truly did not care about his reputation in a doomed kingdom, but that would probably offend the wizard, so he just kept his mouth shut.
