My Favorite Game Followed Me!

Chapter 616

Anton shut off his mind and treated himself as a robot every night during his shift. His cast spells one after another, targeting the undead army. The only break in his casting of his powerful Sorceress's spells was when he cast his Druid summons the moment all of his summons died.

When the undead horde retreated at around half past four in the morning, it signaled the end of his shift. Before he left, he gave another tablet of Dire Wolf summoning to Cedon and asked him about something.

"Where are the dire wolves from the tablets? Are their owners located somewhere else?"

Some of the Supreme Wizards who were members of his squad laughed out loud when they overheard Anton's question, while Cedon looked at him with a weird expression. Anton suddenly wondered what it was all about.

"About half of the tablets that you've given were given to warriors to assist them in their defense of the wall in other sections. The others were acquired by some of the higher-ups, and they were now being treated as pets," Cedon said after looking at him for several seconds and sighing.

"Mother Tucker! All of them were supposed to help with the defense of the wall, and now you're telling me that some politicians are keeping them as pets?!"

"These kinds of things are unavoidable," Cedon said quietly.

"That may be, but only during times of peace! It's your kingdom that's in danger, and some of your higher-ups still wanted some…pets! Why don't they acquire a cat or a dog or something!"

"Calm down, Anton. We have to accept that that's just the way it is. Some of those who acquired the tablets were sons and daughters of Invincible Wizards," Cedon said.

"Well, you can accept it, but I won't. I won't submit any more tablets as long as I haven't received a magical contract stating that all of the tablets should be given to warriors in defense against the wall! Please remember that I'm here because I want to fight the undead and not because I value your kingdom."

"Are you truly going to stand against those people? They're powerful in their own rights."

"Powerful in what way? In this kingdom? Again, I'm not a citizen of Mendoza, and I'm here to help and not be taken advantage of. I think I'll take a break for several days!"

Anton shouted that last part, and then he teleported away from the wall immediately. He used the maximum range of his Teleport skill and hurried to leave the kingdom using the spell. When he was outside the gate, he immediately flew up and headed directly to Ormunda. He used a spell behind him while flying to make sure that he was at his maximum speed. After about an hour of flying, the sun rose and decided to stop at a village that he saw. At first, Anton intended to return home back home but then he decided against it because he knew he was just throwing a tantrum. The Undead Coalition was much too big a problem for him to quit fighting them because of some stupid people. He decided that he would commit to fighting the undead until they leave the continent or Mendoza fell.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

Thankfully, the village, although small, still had an inn. He decided to rent a room at the inn and would return to Mendoza before his time to defend the wall arrived. For the next several hours, Anton focused on the last ladder character of the second set of characters that he could do for the current season, which was the ladder Amazon. Once she was done with the Amazon, she could still do another set of seven ladder characters, earning more items and stats that would be transferred from the game to real life.

Unfortunately, his gear in real life, for some reason, still followed the rules that his Diablo II inside his system had, which was one headgear, one armor, one amulet, one belt, one pair of gloves, one pair of boots, one weapon, one shield, and two pairs of rings. If he carried more than that, the stats and powers of the extra equipment would not adhere to him. He tested it by holding the Insight Spear he gave his father while holding his Death's Fathom Dimensional Shard.

Thankfully, the stats of his gear in-game inside his Diablo II system, and his gear outside stacked. Because of his stats and power, even if he was a spellcaster, his physique made him a very powerful warrior as well. Once he had all equipable equipment, he didn't plan to have several sets to hold on to but would gather equipment for his father and sister. He wanted to make sure that his father and sister would become powerful enough to survive any circumstances.

Regarding charms, he thought that he had a massive advantage due to the fact that his inventory seemed to be endless. Anton thought that he found a sure way to get stronger which was to gather a humongous amount of charms, but his system sent him a notice stating that two exact same charms would not stack, and the number of charms that he could equip was the number of charms that would fit in the first page of his inventory, which was the same as the number in the real Diablo II game. Thankfully, that rule only applied to the charms, and all the other pages of his inventory could still be used for other things. His system also informed him that if he wanted to transfer charms from inside the system to real life, the number of charms that would have an effect would be the same as the number that would fit in the game's inventory.

While reading the notices that his Diablo II system, which arrived when he inquired about charms and inventory rules, the system also informed him that he could use the Town Portal scroll in real life. He could actually set a permanent space to be the base of the Town Portal Scroll, and when he used it, the portal would appear, and he could immediately go to the place he set up as his base. Not only that, he could dismiss the portal once he was done using it.

That meant that he could go home anytime he wanted. It was unfortunate that he hadn't learn that information when Anton was at Rose Manor. He decided that after his shift ended that night, he would set up his apartment in Mendoza as the space where he could go to once he used the town portal scroll, then he would rush home to the Rose Manor, use a Town Portal Scroll, then set the manor as his Town Portal scroll based. Once he did that, he would enter the portal to return to Mendoza immediately, and then from then on, he could go home to the manor anytime he wanted and return immediately as long as he kept the portal open.

Anton felt happy about the new benefit that his Diablo II system had given him, but he thought that it would be best to keep it a secret. He didn't want what happened with that Invincible Wizard Katrina to happen again.

He wondered why the information about the charms, inventory limit, and Town Portal function only appeared now. Anton thought that usually, addons would happen once an event ended, like maybe after the ladder season ended. Was it because he just inquired his Diablo II system about them just now? Did that mean that if he had inquired about them before, he could have made a Town Portal scroll base back in Rendindura?

Anton then thought that with the state of his home continent on this world, he would have probably not set up a Town Portal scroll based back there anyway.
