The entrance of the basement was through the bathroom.

Should I ask Sexis?

This is probably because if someone barged in this house, then they would not even think that from the bathroom is a door to a basement. It is the safest place. Like predators hiding kids in schools.

Anyway, Sexis had pressed some of the white squared tiles on the bathroom wall and then, the wall shifted to the left.

A set of descending stairs came into view and I was scared to go down. Especially with Sexis.

"Let's go." The alien said.

I nodded. "First, you all should go. I will come in the end. In case, the guards arrive. I will come in last and lock the door."

Sexis shrugged and stepped inside.

Erect remained by my side though.

I asked why with my eyes and he said he was my right hand man.

I didn't refute that and let him stay.

He had lost his sword and armor and he had also lost his looks. Prison didn't prove well for any of us.

After Sexis, the prisoners made a line and one by one they kept descending down the stairs like politicians going to hell after dying.

I heard some shocked noises from the basement and I was glad that I stayed back.

Erect also shared the same feeling with me and the prisoners were also afraid to go down now.

"Don't worry, everyone. Sexis won't kill you. The noises are probably because they saw Sexis' face from up close. You all won't get hurt if you go down." I said.

The prisoners nodded and with hearts as heavy as a dead body hidden inside a blue drum, they continued their descent.

Noises carried on and after ten minutes, all the prisoners were finally inside the basement.

Now only me and Erect were there.

"Let's go, Erect. Show me the way." I said.

Erect frowned. "You show the way. You are the hero king, my lord."

"I know. That's why I will stay behind you."

"No. How can I be in front of you? I am not big enough for that."

I took a deep breath and stepped on the first stair.

Then the second and Erect entered the stairs as well.

There was still some light of the candles making the further stairs visible. It was easy to walk down. Darkness wasn't a problem at least.

Or not.

Darkness engulfed everything like my load engulfed the wall of my bathroom on 1st December.

"What happened? What was that noise?" I asked.
