Infinite wealth In A New World

Chapter 202: Hunt

"My Queen, there is a problem."

The voice was a panicked, ragged whisper, a stark contrast to the roar of the crowd. Lola, watching the high-speed race on the massive screen, barely registering the guard beside her:

"What problem?" she asked, her attention fixed on the blur of competing cars.

"Princess Ellen's car is missing."

"...What?!!"

Lola launched to her feet, the velvet seat practically smoking beneath her. Her movement was so sudden that people around the royal box turned, staring in confusion. The world-famous Space Race was suddenly irrelevant to her.

"Sorry, I will be back," she said, her voice thin, and quickly bolted from the section, the terrified guard scrambling to keep up.

_

The moment they cleared the arena's main entrance, Lola snatched the elaborate crown from her head, tossing it over her shoulder to her Advisor. The elderly, three-eyed woman caught the artifact in confusion, turning to see her Queen moving at a near-run.

"My Queen! What happened?!" the Advisor yelled, her regal demeanor forgotten as she chased after Lola.

"Princess Ellen is missing! We must locate her fast! If her father gets news of this, the whole Three-Eyed Nation will be turned upside down!" Lola's breath was labored as she skidded to a stop outside the reinforced door of the security room.

"Pri... Princess Ellen?! You mean God Wolf's only daughter?!" The Advisor's horror was palpable.

"Yes." Lola nodded curtly and pounded on the door. "Open up!"

"Hold on!"

The door hissed open, revealing a three-eyed security officer. He immediately bowed upon seeing Lola. "My Queen!"

"Move."

Lola pushed past him, her unique third eye scanning the wall of monitor screens before her. The atmosphere in the small, crowded room instantly tensed.

"I asked you to monitor Princess Ellen's tunnel! Bring it up!" she hissed, her royal composure cracking under the immense pressure.

"Umm... Princess Ellen is among the racers?" The man looked genuinely confused.

"Shit! I forgot Jinx hid her identity!" Lola wheeled on the officer, her rage tempered by a flash of self-recrimination.

"But are you that stupid?! I asked you to keep an eye on a twelve-year-old! And you see another twelve-year-old racer! Can't you use your head?!" she snapped, pointing fiercely at the screens.

"Show me her race tunnel!!"

"Yes!!"

The officer, thoroughly intimidated, scrambled to his console. The screens changed, zeroing in on a narrow, empty stretch of illuminated track.

"...?!"

The ten people in the room gasped. The tunnel should not have been empty.

"This... It shouldn't be empty," the officer muttered, his hands flying across the console. He quickly activated all hidden cameras along Ellen's route and rewound the feeds.

"What is that?" Lola muttered, pointing at a blurry diagram of a ship in space momentarily flashing across the screen.

The man zoomed in. After several seconds of tapping, he hit the Enter button.

The group watched in horrified silence as Ellen's racing tunnel abruptly separated from the main track. A heavy metal claw, extending from a ship in the space, grabbed her small car and violently pulled it into the unknown vessel.

"Someone actually dared kidnap God Wolf's daughter," the Advisor exclaimed, her voice thin with disbelief.

The scope of this crime was galaxy-shattering.

"Look at the banner on the claw! Scar Bandit," the guard whispered, his teeth gritted in impotent fury.

"Scar Bandit?" Lola turned to him, her frown deepening as her vast political knowledge failed to recall the name.

"Yes... They are notorious bandits, who steal, kidnap, rape, and kill across the frontier sectors," the guard explained.

"They are a team of five, and the leader is known simply as Scarface. He's a Heavenly Rank warrior."

The information hit Lola like a physical blow. A Heavenly Rank enemy was not a simple police matter, but such a weak people dared kidnapped Ellen.

"Okay! Send word to every single guard! I want them to search the whole planet and galaxy! I don't care how they do it! Ellen must be found!" Lola barked the order, her voice cutting through her mounting anxiety. She turned to her Advisor.

"The race, how long do we have?"

"The race will end in thirty to twenty minutes," the Advisor quickly reported.

"That means we have twenty minutes! Get going!" Lola yelled at the security officer, who was already running out of the room to mobilize the planetary defense.

Lola slumped into a chair, her shoulders heaving. 'I am God Wolf's sixth subordinate, and I can't even look after his daughter... No! I must find her, no matter what happens.'

This wasn't just about a princess; it was about her loyalty, her competence, and the stability of her nation. The consequences of failure were unthinkable, even to her.

She activated her Cosmic Brain:

'Can you locate Ellen Draco?' she asked internally.

[Location unknown; Master is out of range.]

'Out of range? Then can you pinpoint the region she is in?'

[South of this planet.]

'Phew... Thank goodness I am a Queen, and I had upgraded my cosmic brain,' she thought.

'As long as I am in range, I can pinpoint her location!'

She jumped up, rushing towards the door, then paused. She turned to her Advisor, her eyes blazing with renewed purpose.

"Send a message to the General! The whole southern region must be sealed! No ship must leave this planet!" With the urgent command delivered, she ran out of the room, leaving a stunned Advisor and security chief behind.

"Is this Princess so important that even the Queen is this anxious?" the security chief asked in genuine bewilderment, still processing the scope of the order.

"Are you that stupid?! If something happened to Ellen, our nation is done for!" the Advisor yelled at him, the weight of God Wolf's prestige and power finally dawning on the man.

She then spun around and bolted out of the room, chasing after her Queen.

The fate of the Three-Eyed Nation now rests on Lola's ability to track a Heavenly Rank bandit, and rescue Ellen before a race ends.
