The Tathāgata Must Fail

Chapter 200: Everything Falls Apart in an Instant

Countless divine power creatures joined the battle, millions of radiant beams bloomed, overshadowing the light of the seven suns.

"Second one!"

Sun Wukong seized the opportunity and delivered another earth-shattering strike. Amid the roaring, a dazzling flame soared into the sky, piercing through the second sun.

The divine power creatures went wild with joy.

"An ant shaking a giant tree, such overestimation is laughable."

Facing the attacks of myriad creatures, the suns spoke.

Their voices sounded like edicts from the Heavenly Dao, reaching directly into the eardrums and shaking everyone dizzy.

The next moment, six suns arranged into a circular formation, beginning to slowly rotate.

Suddenly, the sky darkened, and pitch-black clouds of disaster gathered within the circular formation.

Accompanied by a thunderous roar, lightning flashed brilliantly.

Countless bolts of lightning appeared within the formation, rumbling as if to tear the entire sky apart.

The sky trembled violently.

Sun Wukong felt an air of deadly threat.

Suddenly, a ring of light unfolded at the sun's center, its blinding radiance surged fiercely downward.

It was a world-altering column of light, indestructible.

Sun Wukong was struck by the column of light, feeling his body heavy, almost plummeting down.

Other creatures hit by the column fell as if heavily struck, unable to resist and crashing onto the ground, immobilized.

"Ants can always create surprises."

The suns spoke again: "But ants will always be ants; even if they join forces, they cannot resist us!"

The edges of the land began to collapse as if sinking, with the earth crumbling into the void.

However, in the center of the land, the power of the suns began to converge, becoming incomparable. Dark iron chains grew from the ground, locking up the divine power creatures.

"My power is draining away!"

Everyone was shocked, with slivers of Dao light floating up from their bodies, converging towards the sky, dazzlingly bright.

"They are plundering our Dao Fruits!"

"Hold firm!"

Everyone struggled to guard their Dao Fruits.

"Futile struggles."

The Undying Emperor intensified the suppression. They were the deities of this land, plundering everything here.

Countless Heavens floated and sunk behind them, the crystallization of so many civilizations, so many heroes, yet being plundered and desecrated!

"Sun Wukong, you have lost!"

The Undying Emperor was confident of victory.

They could plunder the Dao Fruits, and Sun Wukong's was no exception.

All their power had already withdrawn, focused on this small piece of land. Sun Wukong was trapped and suppressed by the light, unable to move.

That terrifying pressure was greater than even the Five Elements Mountain of yesteryear. Sun Wukong resisted with all his might, able only to sustain himself from being crushed, unable to launch an attack.

No matter how powerful an individual's strength, it could not match the power stolen by the Undying Emperor from countless civilizations.

"Sun Wukong!"

On the ground, the divine power creatures let out anguished cries, unable to sit idly by as their Dao Fruits were taken.

"You cannot lose!"

They shouted loudly: "If you lose, is there any hope left for this Chaos?"

Upon these words, a Heavenly Dao halo unfolded behind Sun Wukong in the sky.

Within the endless radiance, his whole body shone like gold, the unmatched War God of this era.

"Then, my friends…"

Sun Wukong's voice was like a bell: "Please lend me your Dao Fruits!"

Everyone was startled, then noticed a shining Talismanic Map in front of them.

"This is the Wanling Map."

From a distance, a voice called out: "Place your Dao Fruits onto it, our comrade needs our power!"

"Give it to him!"

Fire Phoenix gritted its teeth and pushed its own Dao Fruit into the Talismanic Map.

In an instant, a golden power enveloped it, carrying it flying to Sun Wukong's back.

Sparkling rays of light, one after another, appeared and were embedded into the Heavenly Dao halo, like vast starry skies.

"So what if that is the case?"

The Undying Emperors said: "Our power is stronger than yours!"

"Shut up!"

Sun Wukong opened his eyes, flames burning within them.

All the power was infused into him, strength indeed unable to surpass the six suns—but enough to shatter one.

"Divine Speed!"

Sun Wukong transformed all his strength into speed, vanishing in an instant.

His speed was unprecedentedly fast, like a streak of lightning crossing through time and space.

The Undying Emperors were shocked and tried to obliterate the fast-moving streak of light with controlled thunder.

But it was in vain. Sun Wukong's figure was so fast that it seemed to disappear from space itself, making it impossible for anything to hit him.

The six suns gave their all, and huge energy fluctuations rippled across the entire sky.

"Boom—"

Time seemed to stop.

The divine power creatures on the ground halted their movements, their faces still showing shock.

The entire sky in that instant became fragmented, like bent glass, reflecting strange images.

The Undying Emperors twisted space trying to stop Sun Wukong.

This was the instantaneous law of the Heavenly Dao. There was no attack, no path.

It was both the process and the culmination.

Nothing could be faster than this in the world.

The Undying Emperors were convinced in their hearts.

But Sun Wukong's voice rang out beside them.

"Goodbye."

The moment the voice was heard, Jingu Bang had already pierced their bodies a moment earlier.

In that instant, a spectacle appeared in the sky.

At the heart of the seven suns, a black dot appeared, followed by a blinding white light that exploded in the sky.

Powerful energy surged down from the heavens, shattering mountains and making the earth quake tremendously.

All divine power creatures looked up.

They saw giant rings of light spreading out in the sky, the fierce light growing fainter and fainter.

A few moments later, the six suns shattered simultaneously.

"Dust to dust, earth to earth."

Sun Wukong withdrew his staff, the vibrations shaking the void: "This is the best destiny."

In their ears, the unwilling roars of the Undying Emperors could be heard.

For eons, dreams of returning home vanished in a blink.
