Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong

Chapter 1344: Current Deployment

"Gentlemen, since we've finalized the course of action, let's continue refining some defense measures."

Seeing the atmosphere in the Command Hall improve, Leo Ray stood up from his seat, walked towards the Magic Sandbox, and spoke.

Upon hearing this, everyone followed without any slackness.

It is well known that the Gleaming Rift Valley spans the entire continent, making the defensive line extremely long.

Even though the Dwarf Elves had once built over a dozen fortresses on our side, and the troops have gradually garrisoned them, it is like a drop in the ocean for such a long stretch.

After all, in terms of length, it stretches from the Grimm Kingdom on the western edge of the Human Domain to the Orchid Federation on the other end, with potentially hundreds or thousands of towns and villages in between.

"Your Majesty of the Dwarf Elves, please introduce the situation of these fortresses first."

Leo Ray handed the command stick to Broy, indicating for him to speak first.

"Understood, please take a look, everyone."

Broy stood on a special stool and pointed the command stick at the southern side of a giant crack on the Magic Sandbox, which represented the Gleaming Rift Valley.

"I'm sure you all realize that for such a long defensive line, even a hundred fortresses would have limited effect, let alone a dozen."

Broy moved the command stick slowly along the edge of the Giant Valley on our side of the Magic Sandbox and said: "Back in the day, the ancestors of the Dwarf Elves realized this problem, so our fortresses were all built at the most critical points, where the enemy is most likely to march."

Broy said, finally pointing the command stick at a small square in the far west, which was one of the Dwarf Elf fortresses, and his voice rose again.

"For instance, this Watcher's Fortress is in one of the narrowest parts of the entire Giant Valley. If the enemy wants to cross this area, this is undoubtedly the best choice."

"Moreover, this area is surrounded by mountains, with only one pass that can be quickly traversed, which is where the Watcher's Fortress is located..."

Listening to the Dwarf Elf King's detailed description, Leo Ray's gaze wandered back and forth on both sides of the Giant Valley, nodding thoughtfully.

As described, the Dwarf Elves built a total of eighteen fortresses, each strategically located, considering the surrounding terrain. They were either built at passes or alongside rivers.

Some even stand directly on gentle mountain peaks, equipped with numerous attack Magic Towers, allowing them to guard multiple important routes simultaneously.

Thus, despite the limited number of Dwarf Elf fortresses, and their primary distribution in the western and central parts of the Dwarf Elves' territory in the Giant Valley, they can still provide maximum defense and surveillance, greatly solidifying our defense line.

Thinking this, the tense atmosphere in the Command Hall eased a bit.

"The wisdom of the Dwarf Elves is admirable."

Having listened intently to Broy's description, a hint of praise emerged on Sheder's wooden face, before shaking his head and saying, "Unfortunately, the Treants, relying on the natural barrier of the vast forest, did not build any fortresses in the Giant Valley. Otherwise, our defense line could have been continuous."

"That's right, we Fairies are the same. The Peak Forest Mystery is easy to defend and hard to attack, and we had not considered these matters."

With furrowed brows, Crisis nodded in agreement.

Listening to everyone's words, Leo Ray appeared thoughtful.

With his resources and Building Blueprints, rapidly erecting ten or even a hundred large fortresses wasn't difficult.

The problem is that hastily constructed fortresses lack associated defensive magic arrays. Even the Magic Towers built according to the Building Blueprints require specific types of arrays and can't be used immediately; this is what consumes manpower and time, which isn't achieved overnight.

If these new fortresses were deployed in the Human Domain, they might still be effective, but facing the powerful Outer Region forces, they would be inadequate.

In other words, instead of depleting and dispersing our manpower and resources by quickly constructing fortresses, it is more efficient to maximize the integration of current resources.

Thinking of this in his heart, Leo Ray promptly remarked: "Gentlemen, now is not the time to reminisce about the past."

"As the Dwarf Elf King mentioned, even if we had a hundred fully-equipped fortresses, we couldn't guarantee absolute security. So we must focus on the present, and let's not forget that Ice Stone City can appear anywhere at any time."

"In addition, we have our old friend, the Administrator, who can use the Shadow Market to monitor the enemy's movements, which will serve as a second layer of insurance."

Upon hearing Leo Ray's words, everyone felt more at ease, letting out a sigh of relief.

Afterwards, Leo Ray confirmed the current troop deployments in the various fortresses.

Among these eighteen fortresses, the Treants, numbering the least, garrisoned three, with a total deployment of 1 Tier 4 Legion and 2 Tier 3 Legions, which is all of the Treants' surviving forces since the Battle of the Dragon Nest.

The Fairies garrisoned six, deploying a total of 10 Tier 3 Legions.

The hosting Dwarf Elves garrisoned the remaining nine fortresses, deploying a total of 10 Tier 3 Legions and 5 nearly Tier 3 Legions. Of course, the Dwarf Elves' combat power primarily relies on the alchemy puppets equipped to each legion.

As for the Human Grand Army led by Leo Ray, naturally it consists of a meticulously selected Million Army plus the 30 original legions of Ice Stone City, all stationed in Ice Stone City as a mobile force.

Due to the current limited power of the humans, the combined Tier 3 and above experts totaled fewer than 15 legions, with only 2 complete Tier 3 mage legions.

"Apologies, Human Your Majesty, the Dwarf Elves still have many damaged alchemy puppets unrepaired, especially those from the previous battle at the Dragon Nest, where Tier 4 and above alchemy puppets were severely damaged. Otherwise, we could offer even more combat power."

Broy sighed helplessly, then spoke again, full of excitement: "However, fortunately, the Human Your Majesty provided ample necessary materials for repairing alchemy puppets, so full restoration is just a matter of time. As for the other wounded soldiers, thanks to the timely treatment with the large amounts of Magic Medicine and Magical Scrolls provided by the Human Your Majesty, they will soon regain their combat effectiveness."

After Broy's speech, Sheder and Crisis nodded in agreement, grateful for the abundant Magical Scrolls and Magic Medicine provided by Leo Ray, without which the casualties in the Battle of the Dragon Nest would have been much greater.

"This is the result of everyone's joint effort. I hope we can smoothly get through this potential crisis as well."

Leo Ray smiled slightly first, then brought the topic back to the present, and continued: "As for what we can do, besides putting these fortresses back into operation, there's one more extremely important task."
