Chapter 349 True Scripture Connection

At worst, Lu Ren can use the system's dimension anchoring on Earth to open a door and return.

He has no leisure to save a fragmented world that's already headed towards its doomed fate.

The only thing that interests him is that this is his first time entering a Western miraculous world, and he hopes to gain some meaningful cultivation systems from it, for supplementation.

At his current realm, it might be better to play in the Seeking Truth Realm. He can't even handle his own matters, let alone exhaust himself saving a world on the brink of collapse. It's laughable.

Clara was somewhat surprised: "Oh distant Wandering Soul, wasn't the mission that brought you here meant to revitalize this land?"

Just as Lu Ren was about to reply, he suddenly remembered that when he stepped into the Land of Origin, he was dragged into this place.

Even if it was to attract the attention of an Outer Demon, there was no reason to drag him into this world without cause.

Could it be that there's truly something here that requires his insight?

Saving the world?

What a joke.

Lu Ren spoke, "How about this, let's make a deal."

Clara wasn't too surprised; she understood that for a Wandering Soul from a distant land, he naturally held no affection for the world. If they didn't offer enough benefits, merely drawing a big picture would be futile—expecting him to do charity was just a joke.

She tried her best to humble herself.

"Honorable Wandering Soul, please feel free to request anything I can provide."

Her words were quite tempting; are all Western worldviews this open?

Despite his inner criticisms, Lu Ren didn't show any of it, and with a calm expression, he said, "I need a complete set of your world's cultivation systems."

Upon hearing this, Clara was not surprised; instead, she sighed in relief. After all, what she could offer was likely only the knowledge she had in her head.

If the Wandering Soul before her showed no interest in her offerings, then all hope would be lost.

"Of course, of course," Clara readily agreed, then she shifted the topic.

"However, honorable Wandering Soul, to prevent you from taking the knowledge and leaving, could you clear out the deranged lord in the castle?"

Mad, I knew it.

Clara wasn't stupid. Lu Ren pondered for a moment, scrutinizing Clara. Facing Lu Ren's gaze, she wasn't afraid at all; instead, she straightened her chest.

Her eyes held a hint of charm as she looked at Lu Ren.

With an expressionless face, Lu Ren said, "I'm afraid my current power isn't enough; I'm afraid I can't kill the deranged lord inside the castle."

Though he spoke politely, his actual meaning was clear: unless she gave him some sweet benefits, Lu Ren wouldn't do anything.

Rather than being led by the nose by this NPC-like figure, he'd rather truly be a traveler, exploring around—perhaps he'd make unexpected discoveries.

Seeing Lu Ren wasn't taking the bait, Clara's face softened with a peaceful smile: "Alright, Wandering Soul from a distant land, I will teach you the most basic Meditation Skill, hoping you might gain some meaningful power from it."

In the next half hour, Lu Ren received a Meditation Scripture with about two thousand words.

Then she took out a cast-iron book from her bosom and handed it to Lu Ren, saying:

"This is the most foundational primal force of Aier Land, even the Aier Goddess's great power comes from it."

Taking the book, Lu Ren glanced at the big characters on it, his eyes slightly squinted as he finally got some clue.

"Maitreya Past True Scripture"!!

There actually is the Maitreya Past True Scripture here?!

"Is this the primal force you seek to gain extraordinary powers?"

"Yes," Clara replied, "This is our Aier Land's Bible. Through sincere prayer and meditation, the scripture will enlighten us, allowing us to gain power."

Watching Lu Ren stroking the big characters on the book, her expression shifted slightly.

"Wandering Soul from afar, do you know the origins of this Bible?"

Lu Ren retorted, "Hasn't it existed on your Aier Land for so many years, do you still not know its origins?"

"We don't know; the Bible's history is even older than the Aier Goddess. Since our birth on this land, it has been placed on the ring above."

"Are you talking about that massive broken ring floating in mid-air?"

Lu Ren pointed to the enormous broken ring on the edge of the sky, so big you can see it regardless of where on Aier Land you stand.

"Alright, I promise you, after I kill the lord, I'll come back and chat with you."

Clara's face was full of gratitude as she slightly bowed to Lu Ren: "Holy Wandering Soul, may your martial fortune prosper. Once the lord in the castle's soul returns to the Netherworld, my sisters and I can move into this fortress."

At this, Clara showed a hint of excitement: "This Furnace Fortress can forge the most suitable weapons for you, allowing you to fully unleash your extraordinary power."

Lu Ren didn't take a stance, not pouring cold water on her enthusiasm. In his mind, he only half-believed Clara's words.

This is a living world, not an NPC exploration from a game. If not for sensing no malice from the vibrations of Clara's Divine Soul, Lu Ren wouldn't have even bothered to engage.

He'd rather kill to solve the issue.

"May the Aier Goddess always bless you and illuminate your path, honorable Wandering Soul."

Heh, the world is already in such ruin; your Aier Goddess is likely long dead.

With his back to her, he waved a hand without looking back, slowly disappearing from Clara's sight, into the castle's shadow, and was gone.

Clara looked worried, her hands clasped to her chest, devoutly saying, "Aier above, can this Wandering Soul truly save the world this time..."

Lu Ren was true to his word; as he walked into this broken fortress, he kept studying the most basic Meditation Skill.

It seemed that Aier was able to meditate on a one-to-one replica of the Maitreya Past True Scripture to gain power.

As the first to brave the unknown, it was clear that the scripture recording the Maitreya Past True Scripture had conveyed quite a bit of power out.

Is the real Bible placed in the huge ring?

Lu Ren wasn't in a hurry to search for it. He needed to understand this world's system in-depth before taking the next step.

Lu Ren had vaguely started to sense that his arrival in this place might be due to his cultivation of the Real Buddha's True Scripture and Future Buddha's True Scripture.

Past, present, future.

All three are interconnected.

This is getting a bit troublesome...
