Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 1038: 1035: I Lied

Corey, Pamela, and Thalos had stunned expressions when they saw the army that emerged in the sky.

Their minds became numb, and they froze on the spot, unable to comprehend what they were seeing. Nobody needed to tell them, they could see it, sense it, and feel it.

The glowing blood red eyes of everybody in the army was a sign that they were all under the control of the Clown.

The aura of the Clown also emanated from their bodies, and their blank eyes was a chilling sight to behold.

As Corey held the head of the Clown, his mind was filled with countless thoughts and questions, and each one led to more questions and answers he needed.

'The prince of the Supreme God Empire is his puppet? The prince of the Supreme Sea Kingdom is his puppet? The titans? The vampires? The werewolves? The mages? The priests?'

'All who came to the Kingdom of the Silver Elves are the puppets of the Clown? How didn't we know? How was he able to do it? What sort of ability is this?'

'How is he able to control three Tier 7s? Shouldn't there be a strain or a limit?'

'And Klaus most importantly... He is the prince of the Supreme God Empire, one of the strongest, if not the most powerful force in the entire universe. But the Clown has him as his puppet?'

'What is he thinking? How does he have the confidence to make a prince of the Empire his puppet? Is he not afraid they'll find out? Is he not afraid of the consequences?'

Corey had so many questions, and he could not help but look at the Clown's head in his grasp.

"Where is the Queen? And Jeremy and his friends?"

The Clown's eyes sparkled as he blinked. "Hmm? You're not going to ask other questions? Like how I turned all of them into my puppets? When I did it? Why I did it? What my goal is?"

Corey looked at the Clown with an indifferent expression. "Will you tell me even if I ask?"

The Clown's eyes widened in disbelief. "Of course! Why wouldn't I tell you? The game would be much more boring if I didn't."

Corey frowned when he perceived the 'pain' in the Clown's words. It was like the Clown was hurt because of his question.

"Answer my question first. Where are they?"

Corey decided to ask of the whereabouts of the Queen and Jeremy since he knew that he needed more people on his side to have a chance of survival.

"Tsk." The Clown clicked his tongue in disappointment, and then the tiny abnormal Clown clapped his 'big' hands.

Corey felt space warp, and then he saw Queen Nerith, Jeremy, Elizabeth, Caesar, Matias, and Rorik.

They were chained, and in their eyes was disbelief and denial. However, when they saw that they were in another location, they looked around in confusion.

Their gazes landed on him, most especially, Queen Nerith who's pupils trembled violently in shock and disbelief seeing Corey's new form and sensing the aura of the world tree in him.

"Corey?" Jeremy exclaimed in surprise, but Corey ignored him.

Corey observed them for a moment, and then he looked at the Clown.

"How can I be sure you didn't make them your puppets?"

The Clown chuckled. "Well, you can't. That's the fun in it. Will you bring them to your side? While making sure that they don't stab you in the back in case they're my puppets? Or will you leave them in my care? Just so that you don't have to-"

The Clown's words were cut off because Pamela suddenly appeared in front of the group.

She made a hand sign, and then runes began appearing around the group. A second later, the chains made out of blood crumbled to ash, and then they vanished from their position, appearing where the world tree used to be.

A few moments later, the Clown clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"She's spoiling the fun."

Corey looked at the Clown with furrowed brows and a confused light in his eyes. He had no idea what the Clown's goal was, and why he had not attacked him, Pamela, and Thalos.

With the army of puppets he had, the Clown could have ordered the puppets to attack him and free him from his telekinetic grasp.

However, he had not done so, confusing Corey.

'I've sealed the space around his head and his body. I even reduced the flow of time around his headless body to make sure it's not able to regenerate as fast as possible.'

'As for that tiny abomination?'

Corey snapped his fingers, and then a bolt of black lightning appeared in front of the abomination, turning it to ash.

"Like seriously? What did that harmless thing ever do to you?" The Clown looked at Corey with an expression of disbelief.

Deciding to ask a question before destroying the Clown's body

"What's your goal? Why are you doing this?"

The Clown chuckled. "Oh, now you're asking."

The Clown chuckled, and Corey looked at him with an indifferent expression.

"I'm not telling." The Clown said playfully, and Corey's expression darkened.

"What?"

"I said I'm not telling." The Clown said playfully one more time, and Corey frowned deeply.

"But you said you'll tell me so that the game would be more fun for you?"

"But. But. But. But you said you'll tell me so that the game would be more fun for you? Hehehehehehe. How cute." The Clown mocked Corey, and Corey felt a spark of anger emerge in his heart.

"You should look at the expression on your face bro. It's so fucking priceless." The Clown scoffed.

"Can't believe you even believed me. I mean, who believes me? I'm a psychopath and a liar. Tarrhh... How dumb and boring." The Clown shook his head in a disappointed expression, and then Corey's expression became completely cold and indifferent.

He stared at the Clown for a moment, and then he moved his hand toward his mask.

'Time to see the face behind the mask.'
