Running A Cemetery in North America

Chapter 145: Cooperation Between Werewolves and the Blood Race

"I didn't expect you to be a Tomb Guardian, sir. There are fewer and fewer people in this profession nowadays."

Smith walked into the main house with a cheerful smile, examining the layout inside.

But when he saw the mirror hanging in the hallway, his face couldn't help but change slightly.

As an experienced priest, Smith's exorcism abilities are quite famous in church circles.

If it weren't for the fact that he had reported a more senior priest having an improper relationship with a little boy earlier in his career,

he wouldn't have become a marginalized figure in the church. Later, Smith directly left the church to deal with the Morolick family.

He devoted all his energy to investigating the hiding place of the Morolick family.

Unfortunately, when he finally discovered the whereabouts of the Morolick family, he couldn't find anyone to help him, anyone who could join him in eliminating this hateful Blood Race family.

"Mr. Jackson, your mirror isn't very clean," said Smith, sitting on the sofa.

"Good eye! Most people who come to my house can't see the mystery of this mirror. You're the first."

Sun Yan handed a bottle of mineral water to Smith and gave him a thumbs-up in agreement.

This behavior clearly showed that Smith indeed had some skills.

"Mr. Smith, let's talk in detail about the Morolick family now. I need the most detailed information," Sun Yan said, sitting down.

"Well, have you heard of Gold Mine Town? It's a place not even marked on maps. Earlier, because some gold ore was found, prospectors went there.

But within two years, geologists proved through experiments that there wasn't any gold there, so it was abandoned. I only discovered by chance that the place had become the habitat of the Morolick family."

Smith took a photo out of his pocket and handed it to Sun Yan: "Take a look."

Sun Yan took the photo and saw a dilapidated house, where a bald man with a pale face was biting the neck of an unconscious woman, sucking her blood.

The sharp fangs in his mouth were conspicuously obvious, making it clear he was definitely not human.

"For a time, women and children often disappeared in my city, but the police did nothing, so I had to investigate myself,

until one day I found this guy and followed him to Gold Mine Town, where I discovered traces of the Morolick family."

Smith expressed worry: "But I'm afraid I can't match those Blood Races, so I've been secretly looking for help. My former colleagues dared not agree, so I had no choice but to come to you."

"No problem, my main job is exorcism. Mr. Smith, you've found the right person. Helping you eliminate the Morolick family isn't difficult,

to be honest, I have many skilled exorcists in my graveyard. As long as you can afford it, we can set out today," Sun Yan said with a smile, putting down the photo.

Since he experienced more and more bizarre events, no Blood Race family could catch Sun Yan's eye now.

Blood Race? Compare them to demons, compare them to evil gods, what then?

These corporeal monsters, when met, aren't they just a few shots from the Demon Exorcism Shotgun?

"I, I only have thirty thousand US dollars. If Mr. Jackson thinks it's not enough, I'll give you this as well."

Smith, in a melancholy state, took out a pure gold cross from his bosom and placed it in his palm with a very complex expression.

There seemed to be a trace of reluctance, yet a hint of resentment.

Sensing something, Sun Yan cautiously asked: "As far as I know, a cross represents a priest's faith in God. Selling your cross, wouldn't that be disrespectful to God?"

"To tell you the truth, I actually have lost faith in God."

Smith sighed deeply: "So many people in this world are suffering, demons, evil spirits, and even monsters secretly harm innocent civilians,

but what are those priests doing? Not only are they not actively eliminating monsters endangering humans, but they also bring indelible shadows to those weak little boys.

I can no longer see the image of God. Just like how I can't utilize much of God's true words even with the Bible, maybe God can't feel my faith anymore."

Smith placed the cross on the table, his tone filled with regret.

For a priest, faith is undoubtedly something that starts from childhood and, barring unforeseen circumstances, accompanies them for life.

For a priest to feel that they've lost faith shows the extent of the blow Smith has suffered.

Sun Yan picked up the cross and weighed it in his hand. It seemed to be solid gold, surprisingly heavy for such a small piece.

Turning his eyes, he said very seriously: "Mr. Smith, I want to ask you a question. How strong is your resolve to exorcise evil spirits, demons, and monsters for the sake of civilians?

If I could offer you a brand new exorcism power, as long as you're willing to give up your faith, you can acquire extremely powerful exorcism powers, and these powers will enable you to accomplish what you couldn't before,
