Peerless Immortal Emperor in City

Chapter 54: Beat to Death if You Disagree!

"I saved your sister, yet you want to spar with me?" Qin Heng looked at Su Mingli indifferently. "That doesn't seem to live up to your name."

"I'm so sorry, Sir," Su Yiyi approached, looking apologetically at Qin Heng. "My brother is a martial arts fanatic and always eager to challenge anyone he perceives as strong. He just mastered Hidden Force and originally planned to test his skills against Bai Zhen from the Yue Feng Club. However, he heard Bai Zhen was severely injured, so he had to return disappointed. Now that he's met you, he can't resist wanting a match."

"Haven't your elders ever told you that randomly challenging people can get you killed?" Qin Heng glanced at Su Yiyi and Su Mingli and said dismissively, "Mastering Hidden Force before the age of twenty is barely enough to lift you out of the ranks of the useless, but still not qualified to fight me. You should leave."

To Qin Heng, anyone who hadn't achieved immortality by fifteen was beneath his contempt. Even now, he was significantly reining in his words to spare the feelings of ordinary people.

"Aren't you being a bit too arrogant?" Su Mingli frowned and said sternly, "Even Bai Zhen, the Hidden Force expert who returned from the war-torn regions, wouldn't dare speak to me in such a manner."

"Bai Zhen?" Qin Heng chuckled. He was no longer paying Su Mingli any attention and turned to the freshly served fish with pickled greens, smiling at Chen Qingzhu. "Let's try this, it tastes good."

He had now completely disregarded Su Mingli and Su Yiyi; they were far too weak to even warrant his attention.

Seeing this, Su Mingli still wanted to ask, but Su Yiyi pulled him back and whispered, "Brother, if he doesn't want to spar with you, don't force it. It'll offend him."

"But..." Su Mingli glanced at Qin Heng and then at his sister's expression, sighed, and said, "Fine, he's eating now. I won't interrupt. I'll ask him after the meal."

After saying this, the two found seats nearby.

"Brother, who do you think could have severely injured Bai Zhen?" Once seated, Su Yiyi asked Su Mingli, more interested in that than watching her brother spar.

Bai Zhen was a well-known expert in Tianhai City. Thanks to his combat experience, some veteran Hidden Force masters were no match for him. Yet, he had been severely injured, with rumors that his bones were shattered, casting doubt on whether he would ever leave his sickbed.

"It was said to be a coach invited by the Vice President of Yue Feng," Su Mingli thought for a moment, opened his phone's chat app, and glanced at the group chat. "The Tianhai Martial Dao group is also discussing it. They say that coach sent Bai Zhen flying with a single palm strike, a display of unimaginable strength."

"How is that possible!?" Su Yiyi exclaimed, her lovely face a mask of disbelief. "Bai Zhen is an extremely experienced Hidden Force master. How could he be sent flying by a single palm strike!?"

"That's what the group says, and there are photos," Su Mingli scrolled through the chat history, opened a photo, and handed it to Su Yiyi. "From the photo, the person who defeated Bai Zhen appears to be terrifyingly powerful."

In the photo, Bai Zhen was sent flying, smashing through a wall, buried in a pile of debris. He looked utterly wretched and covered in blood, clearly seriously injured.

It would take a terrifyingly powerful individual to beat a Hidden Force Martial Artist, one who had survived countless life-and-death battles, to such a state!

"Oh my God! It really is Bai Zhen!!" Su Yiyi's eyes widened as she looked at the phone, zooming in and out in shock. She began to flip through other photos, and then she froze, her hand trembling as she dropped the phone on the table, dumbfounded. "Brother, doesn't this person look like him?" she asked, pointing towards Qin Heng at a nearby table.

"What!?" Su Mingli was startled and hurriedly took the phone to look at the newly posted photo.

The photo showed Bai Zhen attempting to strike Qin Heng with the Half-step Collapse Fist, its might formidable, the killing intent palpable even through the picture.

"Bai Zhen used his full strength!" Su Mingli instinctively glanced over at Qin Heng, not far away. He fought Bai Zhen and isn't injured? His strength truly can't be underestimated.

"Brother, what are you talking about? The person who nearly killed Bai Zhen is him!" Su Yiyi looked bewildered and quickly added, "Look at the next photo! He sent Bai Zhen flying with just one finger!"

"You're joking, right? One finger sending a top Hidden Force Martial Artist flying?" Su Mingli didn't believe a word, thinking Su Yiyi was just teasing him. But he still swiped the phone screen, passing a few emoticons, and then saw the next photo.

In the photo, Qin Heng extended a finger, long and pale, piercing straight through the air. The distortion of the air could even be seen as ripples in the photo!

In front of that single finger, Bai Zhen's previously formidable fist had burst open, dripping with blood, and his whole body was flung into the air, inverted, about to be sent flying backward.

"It really is!? Impossible!" Su Mingli's expression was one of sheer astonishment. He examined the photo over and over again, then glanced at Qin Heng's table. "Could it really be him… Wait, that woman sitting with him, isn't she Chen Qingzhu, the Vice President of Yue Feng?"

"Chen Qingzhu!?" Su Yiyi also looked over. She had previously focused only on Qin Heng, completely missing Chen Qingzhu at his side. Now, looking closer, she realized, "Then it must be him! He must be the one who defeated Bai Zhen."

"With such strength, he might even be stronger than Grandpa!" Su Mingli said, looking at the photograph, then flipping through the chat log. "The message was from Gong Yi, an Open Force Martial Artist from Yue Feng, so it should be accurate."

"Is he really just at Hidden Force?" Su Yiyi whispered, looking at Qin Heng. "Even the peak of Hidden Force might not be able to flick Bai Zhen away with a single finger. He's too strong!"

"Perhaps... a Half-step Grandmaster!" Su Mingli's expression was extremely solemn. He glanced at the chat log again. "There's also news that Chen Yuefeng has been fired, and everyone at Open Force and below has also been dismissed. This man has become the new president of the Yue Feng Club!"

"Oh my God! The Yue Feng Club is an asset of the Chens!" Su Yiyi exclaimed in a low voice. "How could it possibly be handed over to an outsider? Impossible, absolutely impossible!"

DING-A-LING!

DING-A-LING!

Right at that moment, Su Yiyi's and Su Mingli's mobile phones both chimed with message alerts.

They opened them, and their expressions instantly changed.

"Dad: Come home immediately. There might be major changes in the Chens tonight. Do not have any contact with those from Yue Feng for now!"

Major changes in the Chens!?

Su Mingli's expression was a mixture of alarm and uncertainty. He glanced at Qin Heng, then whispered to Su Yiyi, "Yiyi, let's go. Maybe you were right to stop me earlier. Perhaps... I really was courting death!"

If even the Chens could face upheaval, he couldn't believe this mysterious powerhouse had nothing to do with it!

Tianhai City... a storm is brewing!

The quiet departure of the Su siblings did not draw Qin Heng's attention.

After enjoying lunch, Qin Heng had Chen Qingzhu take him to the Huangpu River bank to enjoy the breeze, and they stayed there until 7 p.m.

"You didn't grow up with the Chens, did you?" Qin Heng stood by the river, hands behind his back, speaking indifferently.

"No," Chen Qingzhu shook her head. "I was abandoned shortly after I was born and was raised by my foster parents. It was only after graduating from college and interviewing with Yue Feng that my brother recognized me and welcomed me back into the Chens. Unfortunately, our branch of the family was on the decline, and even the whereabouts of my biological parents are unknown."

"That's for the best," Qin Heng nodded slightly. "Let's go, to the Chens."

"...Go? To do what?" Chen Qingzhu didn't know what Qin Heng intended but instinctively felt apprehensive.

"You are my secretary; you can't be too shabbily treated. Let's get you the position of Family Head of the Chens," Qin Heng replied calmly, as if discussing an inconsequential matter.

"How could that be possible?" Chen Qingzhu felt bewildered, responding instinctively, "They won't agree. No one will agree to someone from a minor branch, especially a woman…"

"Those who don't agree will simply be killed. Then there will be no dissenters," Qin Heng said plainly. "Let's go."
