Peerless Immortal Emperor in City

Chapter 53: Su Martial Arts Center

Silence!

Utter silence—the entire hall of Changtai Hua Mansion fell deathly quiet! Almost everyone stared at Qin Heng in disbelief. The hall was so silent you could hear a pin drop.

What had Qin Heng just said? Annihilate the Chen family down to the last person? He must have gone mad!

"Qin Heng! You're just ashamed and throwing a tantrum, giving up in despair, huh!" Chen Youfang glared at Qin Heng, his face grim. "Wipe out my entire Chen family? Such arrogance! Let alone you, Qin Heng, even if your father, Qin Fa, were here, he wouldn't dare say such a thing!"

SLAP!

With a crisp SMACK, Qin Heng's slap sent Chen Youfang flying. He crashed through tables and chairs, landing in a heap. Blood streamed from a gash on his head, his cheek swelled rapidly, and he lay on the ground, continuously spitting out blood.

"Scum. Say such nonsense again, and I'll kill you right now!" Qin Heng cast a glance at Chen Youfang and said coolly, "Your Chen family? I can destroy it whenever I wish, effortlessly. I will pay you a visit tonight. If you want to live, have all the property transfer agreements ready for me!"

With that, he turned and left.

He didn't even glance at the club transfer agreement on the table. After tonight, the entire Chen family would be his, so this small club would naturally fall into his hands as well.

There was no need to rush.

"Qin Heng! If you dare come to my Chen family's residence, you're courting death!" Chen Xigui gritted his teeth, his eyes burning with immense hatred as he stared at Qin Heng. "My Chen family has operated in Tianhai for centuries! The foundation we've built is beyond what you johnny-come-lately types could ever imagine!"

"Hahaha!" Qin Heng scoffed, his hands clasped behind his back. He continued towards the exit without a backward glance at Chen Xigui, laughing as he said, "An ant, no matter how long it toils, will never become a mountain. I can crush you with a flip of my hand!"

Soon, Qin Heng reached the doorway. Throughout his walk, none of the Chens dared to meet his gaze. As he drew near, their eyes would dart away, and they would instinctively recoil, utterly cowed by his formidable aura. They were petrified.

Just as Qin Heng stepped out of Changtai Hua Mansion's main entrance, Chen Qingzhu rushed over in her high heels, her expression anxious. "Mr. Qin, I'm so sorry. There was some traffic, and I'm late..."

"It's fine. Your being late is actually perfect." Qin Heng nodded and said coolly, "Let's go. We don't need to go in now. We'll visit the Chens tonight."

...? Chen Qingzhu was bewildered. She had no idea what had happened but didn't dare to ask. She merely stole a glance at the scene inside Changtai Hua Mansion.

That one look nearly made her collapse. Inside, tables and chairs were overturned in a chaotic mess. The Chen family's Third Young Master, Chen Youfang, lay on the ground covered in blood. The Chens' Second Master, Chen Xigui, was trembling with rage, his face a mask of fury.

What on earth happened? Chen Qingzhu felt the world was spinning too fast. I just went to get gas! How did things end up like this?

"What are you standing around for?" Qin Heng glanced at Chen Qingzhu and said coolly, "Let's go. Who knows? By tomorrow, you might be the Family Head of the Chens."

!?? Hearing this, Chen Qingzhu stumbled. One of her high heels twisted, nearly sending her sprawling. Thankfully, Qin Heng reached out and pulled her into his arms, saving her from the fall.

"Thank you, Mr. Qin." Chen Qingzhu's face flushed. She felt her full chest press against Qin Heng's arm. Lowering her head, she said no more and followed Qin Heng to the BMW.

The car started.

Chen Qingzhu remained silent. Qin Heng, in the passenger seat, also had his eyes slightly closed, as if resting.

After some time, Chen Qingzhu finally mustered the courage to ask, "Mr... Mr. Qin, where are we going next?"

"Let's get lunch first," Qin Heng said indifferently. "There's a decent pickled greens fish restaurant on Zihua Road. We can try it. By the way, you mentioned that both the Chinese and American sides have six participants in the Sino-American Youth Martial Arts Exchange. But even including Bai Zhen, our club only has four, right?"

"Mr. Qin, you might not be aware, but not all six participants are from our club," Chen Qingzhu explained. "Two of them are from the Su Martial Arts Center. It's an institution with a hundred-year legacy. The old master of the center is a peak Hidden Force expert and holds high prestige in the Tianhai Martial Arts World."

"Another martial arts center? Interesting." Qin Heng nodded, then inquired no further.

To him, matters like Hidden Force and martial arts centers were trivial, beneath his notice. As for the competition against the young American experts, he was absolutely confident of victory even without anyone from the Su Martial Arts Center.

Chen Qingzhu looked at Qin Heng beside her. Several times she wanted to ask what he meant by his words at the entrance of Changtai Hua Mansion, but ultimately, she couldn't summon the courage and just drove on quietly.

Upon arriving at Yuxi Guan Restaurant on Zihua Road, Chen Qingzhu parked the BMW, and she and Qin Heng went inside.

Qin Heng picked out a four-pound fish for them.

They found a table and sat down, drawing envious stares from many of the male patrons. Chen Qingzhu was strikingly beautiful and naturally became the center of attention in such a restaurant. Consequently, Qin Heng became the object of their envy.

Chen Qingzhu, however, looked around curiously and said with a light smile, "I didn't expect Mr. Qin would dine at a place like this."

Yuxi Guan Restaurant was not a high-end establishment.

The environment was somewhat noisy, with many tables crammed into a large hall. It was lunchtime, and the place was already packed.

"'A mountain needn't be high; it's famous if immortals reside there. Water needn't be deep; it's spiritual if dragons dwell within,'" Qin Heng said with a faint smile. "The food here is quite good. You should try it."

"It seems Mr. Qin is a very easy-going person," Chen Qingzhu said with a smile.

Just then, a young couple walked in.

The girl looked to be sixteen or seventeen, with exceptionally delicate features and a captivating youthful radiance. She was about 1.7 meters tall and wore a white T-shirt and denim hot pants.

The young man with her, slightly older at eighteen or nineteen, was handsome and well-built, standing about 1.8 meters tall. He wore a simple but smart white tracksuit that drew attention.

Their facial features bore some resemblance, suggesting they were siblings rather than a couple.

The restaurant staff clearly recognized the pair. Two servers immediately greeted them respectfully at the entrance and led them to a window table.

The girl looked around, and when her eyes landed on Qin Heng, they lit up. She shot to her feet and exclaimed to the young man beside her, "Brother! Brother! I found him! That's the man I told you about! The Hidden Force master who saved me that morning!"

Qin Heng's ears twitched. He glanced over and recognized the girl. She was unmistakably the one he had saved that morning when Chen Qingzhu's car had nearly hit her.

He hadn't expected to run into her here.

The young man then approached, his gaze appraising as he sized Qin Heng up. "Thank you for saving my sister. I am Su Mingli from the Su Martial Arts Center. My sister mentioned you've mastered Hidden Force. I myself have just recently broken through to the initial stage of Hidden Force. Would you do me the honor of a friendly spar?"
