Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 371: Robbed Again_1

"Who's there? Come out."

A cold wind swept across the vast land, leaving behind the calm yet raspy voice of Bruce. It was shrouded in the silent desolation of the wasteland. No living soul would be allowed to know about the secret of Light Crystal Energy.

The Blade Warrior's heart almost numbed with shock, her spirit terrified out of her wits. Was she discovered by that demon? If he violated her first and then killed her… by god, battling Bruce is a bleak prospect, let alone running away. She was doomed now.

Despite her metallic skeletal structure, her organs were authentic. She had never experienced love in her life and didn't want to die. She searched for the Light Crystal Energy during her endless journey, yearning for a piece of romance lost in the river of time. Now, she was worried about Feng Yi, who might have encountered this ruthless pirate executioner. Frightened by the thought, the Blade Warrior readied herself to run at the sound of the approaching footsteps.

A vroom… followed by the roar of an engine, a fighter jet descended from the sky, turns out it was a mutant fly from the Death Planet.

Bruce was fairly aggravated at the fly's appearance. With a casual swipe of his hand, the full-grown mutant fly was slashed into two.

The Blade Warrior's jaw dropped to the ground. This man's strength may even surpass Feng Yi's. She carefully backed away without making a sound. Poor little green bean fly, in this moment in the Blade Warrior's heart, a fly held the same status as an angel. As a woman of action, she determined to offer three sticks of incense in remembrance for the fallen fly once she got back.

After backing off to what she considered a safe distance, the Blade Warrior transformed herself into a black panther and darted away at a great speed. The regret was evident across her face. She detested Feng Yi immensely. If she hadn't been concerned for that jerk, she wouldn't have risked coming here.

Unfortunately, she and Feng Yi took different paths. Feng Yi's exceptional skills and boldness led him to take the most direct route, braving the dangers along the way, while she took the long way round. Now, she has gone far away and cannot hear the conversation behind her.

The desolate waste echoed Bruce's somber voice: "The Light Crystal bears my psychic mark. Heh-heh, he won't escape."

In his quest to seize the Light Crystal Energy, Bruce had been wandering Death Planet for a year. He discovered this from the clues left by the Blade Warrior long ago—a shorthand for the Time Crystal's casing that the Blade Warrior used to store Light Crystal Energy. This static matter, refined from Subspace Crystal, is a super new energy source. When compressed with the unique metal of Death Planet, it forms Super Light Particles. It cannot be utilized by a furnace anti-engine, but only by a Super Light Engine, which may enable time travel or crossing into parallel universes. This contravenes the General Theory of Relativity. Even the Blade Warrior is uncertain. She has never tested it, and currently, she lacked the energy for Super Light travel.

Naturally, Feng Yi had no idea what the blue crystal contained. At this time, his physical condition had fully recovered. He casually tossed the object onto the Blade Warrior's bed and left. Following the orientation of the psychic mark, he began his investigation against the two who had attacked him earlier. He believes that with his undefeated status, he is capable of capturing one.

After Feng Yi had left for a while, the Blade Warrior, gasping for breath, finally made it back to her dwelling. Looking at the dazzling crystal on the bed, emitting a faint light, all the complaints in her heart vanished at once. It was as though she was seeing her long-lost child. Feng Yi, that rascal… He was of some use. She seemed to have found a reliable support.

In the blink of an eye, she carefully collected the Light Crystal Energy. However, she suddenly had another worry. Nobody else should be able to find the Light Crystal; she was the one who invented the scanning radar. But then again, Feng Yi carelessly dropped the Light Crystal onto the bed. Could Bruce track the dispersed energy by other means? She couldn't possibly be that unlucky, right?

No, to be on the safe side, she decided to leave this place as quickly as possible. As for Feng Yi, that kid, Humph! She had suffered quite a loss because of him too. They could consider themselves even.

Just as she prepared to leave, suddenly a chill wind blew from outside the door. The Blade Warrior froze on the spot, unable to move. She sensed something ominous. Her entire body seemed enveloped by a powerful magnetic field.

It was not Feng Yi's unique magnetic field. The radius of the magnetic field should be over 500 meters, which meant that any movements within 500 meters could be caught by it. Although it was not as overwhelming as the 800 meters windstorm, the Blade Warrior's sense of danger was escalating.

Bruce's appearance was too sudden. Once detected, concealing her presence was pointless. I am not losing my belongings again, the Blade Warrior didn't dare to dwell on worst-case scenarios and leaped out of the room at incredible speed like a launched cannonball.

However, she was quick, but Pirate King was quicker. Unexpectedly, a low murmur sounded in her ear instantaneously. The next moment, a man clad in airtight armor was right in front of her.

Upon close inspection, she noticed that the dress style of Bruce was somewhat similar to Feng Yi's. Perhaps it was a precautionary measure against the radiation and combats in Death Planet. The Blade Warrior screamed and quickly prepared to run!

Just as she spun around to run, her path was blocked again: "My beautiful lady, where are you planning to go?"

"Over there." She pointed in one direction. As Pirate King turned his gaze there, she darted in the opposite direction at top speed, incessantly mumbling about how Feng Yi had let her down in critical moments. Come and save me!

Whiz… The Blade Warrior moved as swiftly as a swallow, flipping and tumbling. She had no idea how far she had covered. She resembled an uncontrollable RPG female boss. She could sense that the distance between her and the Pirate King was gradually increasing…

Swoosh! In the next moment, their distance alarmingly reduced visibly. "My beautiful lady, aren't you going to sit down for a cup of tea?"

"Let's do it another day."

"Hmph, you really believe you can escape from here?" A gust of energy collided with her cheek, and the road ahead was blocked by Bruce once again.

"Wow!" The Blade Warrior's face turned green with terror, like she had just seen a ghost, "Hey, handsome." She forced a smile and waved at him, her beautiful eyes barely a slit, "Ohohoho…. I admire strong men the most. Why the hurry? We can take our time. How about we date? By the way, I don't even know your name yet."

With a belch, the gushing words of Blade Warrior were suddenly cut off as if a bucket of cold water was poured over her. "My beautiful lady, we should stop playing pretend now."

"So…"

Bruce's face hardened, "Enough. Hand over the Light Crystal if you don't want to die."

"Okay, okay, as long as you let me go."

"Hurry!"

The Blade Warrior was frightened to her wits, and quickly began fumbling for the Light Crystal Energy while whimpering. Her fate was simply unjust. She was just a mechanical leopard brought to life by derived intelligence. Although hundreds of years old, she had only gained human consciousness a century ago. In her heart, she was still but a maiden. Yet, she had been robbed repeatedly, and each time it was someone she couldn't beat. It was over. She was going to die.
