Luka looked a bit grim, the blood oozing from the corner of his mouth proving that his recent skirmish had wounded him significantly. Yet, he stubbornly pushed himself forward, step by step towards Feng Yi: "Heh heh heh, it hurts a bit now huh? But I won't be giving you the blue crystal. I intend to keep my life."
That guy loses control at the slightest provocation. Clearly, Feng Yi had angered him. This time before Luka could even react, the other four had already advanced on Feng Yi.
They moved at high-speed, their forms agile as they tried to confuse Feng Yi, surrounding him. Whenever they attempted to strike, they were completely deterred by Feng Yi's unyielding stance, as they could find no openings on him. It was as though their weaknesses were completely exposed yet still seemed treacherous—like traps—which made them keep on their guard. This level of intimidation was something they had only experienced when faced with the formidable Lord Bruce.
Feng Yi glanced left and right, simply ignoring their proximity while he walked directly towards the camp. According to the radar signals, the blue crystal was in the ragged tent ahead.
Cold sweat trickled down the faces of the group that surrounded Feng Yi. They were capable of attacking, yet could find no openings to execute their offense. It felt like a child intimidated by an adult, the level of strength regardless, they were unable to strike under such pressure.
You could argue that they were repressed by Feng Yi's powerful aura, even though they weren't incompetent. However, they were compelled to act since the safety of the blue crystal was entrusted to them by Lord Bruce; any failure would be unaccountable.
Just as Feng Yi neared the entrance of the camp, they finally chose to attack him. The target areas of their assault were his vulnerable spots— the heart, the lower back, the joints—any hit would result in catastrophic damage.
"Hm?" Feng Yi paused slightly, aware of the potential for destruction wrought by these first-order soldiers. He was aware of his parity with the quasi-war god Cangmu Ling. However, it wasn't the people surrounding him that Feng Yi was concerned about. Rather, it was the nearly undetectable powerful aura that was approaching quickly from the distance. Hence, Feng Yi's unexpected exclamation.
Facing their collective attack, Feng Yi's body wavered slightly and then disappeared from their sights.
These were warriors who had all reached the quasi-first order. Their attack had completely missed and in the corner of their eyes, they could see Feng Yi's sudden movement right before he disappeared into the room.
They chose not to continue their attack, as it would be pointless. If Feng Yi had chosen to strike back, they probably wouldn't have been able to avoid it. There was no doubt that Feng Yi had successfully intimidated them while also dodging Luka's attack.
Entering the room, Feng Yi immediately spotted the blue crystal. There were three shards scattered carelessly in a corner of the tent. "So this is the blue crystal?" Feng Yi looked at the faintly glowing gemstone and wondered why a transparent stone would arouse so much interest in Blade Warrior.
Regardless, he had obtained what he wanted and it was time to leave swiftly. Without further delay, Feng Yi stored the blue crystal and the detection radar in his Space Crystal, leaving the room instantly.
Meanwhile, Blade Warrior was rapidly heading towards Feng Yi's location when she suddenly noticed the signal from the crystal had vanished.
Strange, why did the crystal's signal weaken? Could it be that Feng Yi— the infamous Blade Warrior, a highly meticulous individual— came up with two completely different outcomes in the blink of an eye. The first, and most preferable, that Feng Yi had taken the crystal and stored it in his Space Crystal, causing the signal to weaken. The second, Feng Yi had been defeated and the enemy had taken the crystal into their Space Crystal. Nevertheless, she had to see the outcome for herself, regardless.
So the Blade Warrior accelerated towards her destination, her speed comparable to Feng Yi's. After some time, she quietly observed the changes in the situation from the distant bushes surrounding the camp. Noting that there were no obvious signs of a battle on the ground but numerous footprints, she figured that no fight had taken place. The question then was, where did Feng Yi go?
Just as she pondered this, a shadow suddenly appeared from afar. After a few strides, he was already standing beside the five men. Could it be…
Blade Warrior's eyes widened as a horrifying thought crossed her mind…
Pirate King Bruce, a notorious character often mentioned in textbooks. He was the most infamous figure among the space pirates, the only one who dared to defy the authorities. His personal strength was nothing short of terrifying. Why would such a person show up on Death Planet? If the crystal had indeed caught the Pirate King's attention, then she wouldn't be surprised at all. Rumor had it that Bruce even had contact with third-order creatures. Although the truth of the matter was yet to be confirmed, Bruce was a mystery beyond comprehension in any case.
What to do, would she continue to observe from here? Cold sweat was trickling down for the Blade Warrior, it was risky but she should remain undetected. She instantly transformed into a humanoid shape, poking half of her head out from behind the hillock, trying to listen in on the ongoing conversation.
The speaker was Bruce himself, his form sheathed in an unknown black armor that made him look like a machine, his voice deep and resonating, "I sensed a strong magnetic field just now, what happened?"
The five men who had previously clashed with Feng Yi were all silent, like children who had done something wrong.
"Borg, you go first."
"Lo-Lord…" The man named Borg swallowed nervously before he finally said, "The blue crystal has been stolen."
"Stolen, huh…" Bruce's hoarse voice echoed weights around them. The air seemed to thicken, and Borg's eyes were filled with despair.
Bruce lifted a hand, pointing it at Borg. It seemed like disaster was about to strike at any moment, startling the Blade Warrior, causing her to almost hold her breath. The intimidating aura radiating from Bruce was so terrifying that she, despite her own prowess, could only combat with one of the five men at most. Can you imagine the anxiety that filled Blade Warrior at this moment? Even though she had experienced countless battles, she found herself growing more and more afraid of death.
Suddenly Bruce turned to Luka, acknowledging his injuries, "Mr. Luka, you should have used that, right?"
"Yes, Lord. Borg did his best."
Hearing his response, Bruce slowly lowered his hand aimed at Borg, "Heh heh heh, very well. I guess it's not your fault. You're not his match, after all. Just retrieve it."
He was spared! Borg could finally breathe a sigh of relief, giving Luka a look filled with gratitude.
The Blade Warrior was stunned. If she hadn't figured out what Bruce was planning from his mannerisms, she deserved to die. He was ruthless enough to harm his own people. Staying in this area for too long was not an option; she had to leave immediately.
Just as she was about to set off, she accidentally stepped on a stone. Her nerves were so tense that she lost control of her body and fell down with a thud. "Oh!" She anxiously covered her mouth.
"What's that sound…"
