Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 983: Human Battlefront

A new environment, a fresh start, as a domestic service robot, Iman's main purpose was merely to engage in flexible tasks such as cooking, boiling water, cleaning, and taking care of children and the elderly, possessing no combat capabilities. Apart from having a bone structure uncommon among humans and a swift computerized thought process, her physical strength was roughly equivalent to that of an adult male.

Considering the number of twenty household service robots, Miss Yita decided to only provide them for guests such as Sky Shadow, Kexiao, and even Jade Clear Sect. Thus, under the lead of the female housekeeper, Iman arrived in Sky Shadow's room.

The female housekeeper seemed quite refined, her refinement mingled with a sense of aloofness, and within that aloofness was no lack of wisdom. However, there were no barriers like those found among humans between robots, and they were clear about their roles. The housekeeper merely glanced faintly at Iman and said, "From now on, you'll work here. The villa, both inside and outside, and the lawn need regular cleaning. Oh, and the master's name is Sky Shadow; he has a bad temper, so it's best not to provoke him."

Iman blinked emotionlessly and turned her pretty face human-like, meticulously surveying the expansive villa, feeling a heavyweight in her heart.

The courtyard was incredibly clean and tidy. Through her electronic eye's scanning recognition, Iman didn't even find any areas that required cleaning. She pushed open room doors one after another trying to clean, discovering that Sky Shadow was apparently quite self-disciplined, not like other men whose rooms were messy.

Of course, the room couldn't exactly be described as very tidy either. For instance, there were scattered books on the table, the television was turned on displaying various news programs, and the air conditioner was also running. Through the thermal sign induction, Iman quickly perceived that the room's temperature was too high and needed cooling.

In the blink of an eye, a flash of brilliance seemed to flicker through her eyes, the air conditioner's temperature silently dropped... Her gaze then shifted to the Light Screen television... the command restrictions were lifted, and the television instantly turned off.

She then silently moved to the bookshelf and began to quickly organize... placing each book back on the shelf.

However, during this period, Iman also casually flipped through a few pages of some books, discovering that most of them were military magazines, along with posters and recent news bulletins from around the world.

Next, she organized the bookshelves, cleaned the living room, and tidied up the residence by trimming the lawn and picking up garbage.

Iman's movements were quite agile, and in less than two hours, she had roughly tidied up the room. She needed to wait for further commands from Sky Shadow, as it was her first time here and she didn't want to intrude into the bedroom or perform detailed cleaning without the owner's command.

After cleaning, she sat straight on the leather sofa and turned on the television, watching various TV programs with great interest... These programs were insignificant for Iman herself; since the day she left the factory, she had been equipped with various types of information and general knowledge about life, whether it be playing the piano, painting, or even singing, Iman could simulate various voices, with her brain chip storing no less than ten thousand songs in a variety of styles.

However, through television, she could learn about humanity itself, such as human nature, emotions, and even astronomy, geography, physics, and chemistry, which were difficult for robots to access.

At this moment, the door banged open, and a cold yet handsome man barged in. This person was Sky Shadow, whom Iman had read about in the data.

She quickly stood up straight, her gaze fixed on Sky Shadow...

Sky Shadow scrutinized the newcomer, staring at this delicately featured girl who looked about twenty years old, and said in a deep voice, "Who are you."

"My name is Iman, a domestic service bionic human, model C900TP, assigned by Miss Yita to take care and be responsible for your daily life."

Lifting his eyes to survey the tidy room, Sky Shadow then realized it had been cleaned by this person. No one needed to touch his things, and moreover, the one touching his stuff was an unpermitted robot, damn it! With suppressed anger, Sky Shadow said, "I don't need your cleaning, get out, and don't come back."

Iman was slightly stunned and stood still, "This was arranged by Miss Yita."

"What does Yita count as, get out of here, I don't need a puppet doll to take care of me."

Sky Shadow's patience seemed very limited, leaving Iman not much leeway. In her mind involuntarily popped up four options.

Option one: Insist. This might pose certain risks and could even lead to her being destroyed directly. It could be said that the low status of bionic humans was one reason, but the main reason still lay with Sky Shadow. The housekeeper had warned her not to easily provoke this person.

Option two: Obey. Obedience was every robot's duty, and Iman was no exception. However, would failing on her first day of work be too bad? Iman was still unfamiliar with the environment here, filled with worry and helplessness.

Option three: Explain. She had to explain that she was just a working robot and wouldn't disturb anyone's life, she didn't want to mess up the job.

Option four: Silence. Silently accept and observe Sky Shadow's reaction. This might help her understand him better, possibly changing his mind, or it could provoke greater anger in Sky Shadow, leading to further warnings or direct actions.

Iman decided to try explaining, "I..."

"Get out, I won't repeat myself."

Sky Shadow didn't allow Iman to finish her words, effectively shutting her down and leaving no room for explanation.
