Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me

Chapter 450: The Truth About Father III

Daniel wanted to know what exactly had made the other demi-gods turn against his father. Was it just a matter of power? He didn't think so.

Even if it was only about who had been the first to conquer the ninth floor, he still didn't feel that was enough reason to make several demi-gods become enemies at once.

The power of demi-gods was on a completely different dimension compared to all other Awakened. They couldn't even really be considered mortal anymore.

Their way of existence and life had reached an extraordinary and incomprehensible level. Beings like that wouldn't get involved unless it was absolutely necessary—at least to preserve the balance of power.

"According to what your father himself said, it was because of an item. The item he received as a reward for being the first to conquer the ninth floor," Liana thought for a moment before answering.

"Just one item made the other demi-gods turn against him? How powerful could this item be?" Daniel frowned.

"I don't know either. But he said that item could save humanity and the entire world from disaster," she replied with some sadness.

If it hadn't been for that cursed item, her husband would still be with her now, and she wouldn't have had to desperately flee her home with her children and end up in a foreign country.

"An item that could save the world?" Daniel raised his eyebrows slightly in surprise and muttered to himself.

"Do you know what it looks like? Or where it might be?"

"No. Your father was extremely cautious about it. He said it might be able to save the world, but it could also destroy it. That's why he never let anyone touch it… not even me."

Daniel fell into thought. A few guesses crossed his mind, but without more information, he couldn't confirm or deny any of them.

Even reasoning properly wasn't possible. Bit by bit, he was coming to the conclusion that he really had to search for his father's subordinates.

But where was he supposed to start looking for them?

"Mother, which country are we actually from? Where is our real home?"

Liana fell silent at her son's words. This time, unlike before, she didn't answer right away. She seemed torn, hesitant.

At last, she sighed.

"For now, I can't tell you. You're still too weak to know." She knew how powerful her son had become. Even though she hadn't seen him fight, she could feel it from his aura.

Daniel always tried to hide his aura in front of his family, but that oppressive, commanding feeling that leaked out couldn't be concealed.

That alone was enough for her to understand how strong he had grown. But in her eyes, it still wasn't enough. The time hadn't come yet.

"I understand." Daniel didn't push further. He also knew that at the moment, he couldn't even match up to rank S Awakened, let alone anything above that.

'When I conquer the fourth floor… no, the fifth floor, I'll ask this question again.' He was confident that once he conquered the fifth floor, he would be strong enough to fight even against National Rank Awakened.

After that, Liana said goodnight and went to her room. He didn't stop his mother. After saying goodnight, he returned to his own room.

He collapsed onto his bed, and before fully falling asleep, he sank into thought. The revelations from today had truly shaken him.

Sometimes he wondered if his father was actually a powerful man, but every time he thought about the fact that they lived in a small city, he convinced himself that it wasn't possible.

But now it was clear he had been foolish. His father had been a man standing at the very peak of the world's power, the very first person to conquer the ninth floor of the Tower.

His motivation to find his father had only grown stronger. Only by finding that man could he get the answers he sought. He even felt that his father must know something about his bloodline.

He closed his eyes and slowly drifted into sleep. Time passed, and eventually morning arrived, with the sunlight gently waking him up.

After waking, he went to his wardrobe, grabbed a random set of clothes, and put them on. Then he went downstairs, where he saw the girls sitting at the breakfast table.

"Don't you think you're waking up a bit too early?" he asked sarcastically as he sat down on an empty chair.

"Or maybe you just sleep too much?" Alice mocked while putting a piece of bread in her mouth.

"It's only nine in the morning. You should know sleep is really important." Daniel replied seriously. In fact, he had adjusted the curtains in his room to automatically open at nine and let the sunlight wake him up.

"Eat your breakfast and don't set a bad example for the kids," Liana glanced at her son and said.

He raised his hands in mock surrender and began eating his breakfast. After finishing, before the others got up, he looked at them.

"After the competition at your guild ends today, I plan to go into seclusion. I'll probably be gone for two or three days."

All three of them nodded without saying anything. They were already used to it, though it still made them miss him every time.

"When do we need to be at the guild?" Daniel then looked at Alice and Tiana and asked.

"We need to be there in half an hour."

"Then go get ready so we can leave."

The girls went to their rooms and returned five minutes later, dressed in elegant clothes. After saying goodbye to Liana, they went to the car.

Their house was about fifteen minutes away from the Fallen Sun guild. To make sure they wouldn't be late, Daniel had to drive a little faster than usual.

Fortunately, there was no traffic, so they covered the distance in seven minutes and arrived at their destination. He parked in the lot and they entered the guild's main building.

"Not bad. I didn't expect your guild to have such a cool building," Daniel said with some surprise as he looked at it.

Unlike all the other buildings he had seen, this one was built in a spherical shape. More precisely, it was obvious that the design was inspired by the sun.

The interior was also stylish and luxurious, built with the best available materials for tiling and design.

"Of course! What did you expect?" Alice puffed out her chest proudly.

"Well, anyway, where do we need to go now? Where's this competition happening exactly?"

"First, the two of us need to go and register. The competition takes place inside a pocket dimension, a space used as a training and competition ground for Awakened." Tiana explained.

Daniel stayed silent. Why did he feel like this Fallen Sun guild was way better than the Everlight guild? Not only was their building more beautiful, but they also used a pocket dimension as a training ground.

Why didn't their guild have something like this?

It felt kind of wrong that the stronger a guild was, the wealthier it would also be.

Though he was sure their guild had to be wealthier… right?
