Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 624: Normal Dinner!

Chapter 624: Normal Dinner!

After the disaster that was his single question, Vatyra and Lilith hit it off.

They found some common ground when talking about being isolated.

Lilith was once the outcast of the demon race.

Vatyra was the outcast of the phoenix race.

They were really like two peas in a pod.

But here came the other problem.

Rael was a little bit out of place now.

He couldn’t chime in with the isolation bit, since he was kind of a shit head in his past life.

Oh! Yeah, I remember that one time I left my sister to die!

Nah.

He was going to let them talk without interrupting.

Definitely.

Thankfully, this uncomfortable feeling lasted only until the food arrived.

But they were naturally seated at another table.

The table was many times bigger than the one they had just sat on, and of course, every single piece of food he had ordered was here.

There was a lot more food than he was expecting.

Nearly 300 dishes, by his account.

Since it was one of those fancy restaurants, the portions of the food were a total joke, but since there was so much food, it balanced it out.

Still, out of the kindness of his heart, Rael pulled a waiter closer to him and decided to ask the million dollar question.

“How much is the tab?”

“4,288,000,550 Trell, sir.”

“…”

4.3 Billion Trell for food.

For that much, he could buy a massive mansion anywhere in the universe.

And yet, he had to pay that much just for food.

Honestly, if he didn’t have trillions in his account, he would be coughing blood right about now.

But still, since he wasn’t in the mood to ransack this restaurant, Rael went ahead and paid up.

When the waiter confirmed the payment, he ran away with springs in his step, alongside a couple more waiters.

Apparently, that 288,000,000 came from the tip.

These people tipped.

Although Rael accidentally made someone a multi-millionaire, he decided to put it behind him and dig into the food.

He could eat every portion in just a few bites.

It wasn’t really filling.

But clearly, from the way Vatyra and Lilith were eating the food, he knew at least someone enjoyed it.

For the next couple of hours, only the sound of chomping down food resounded inside the restaurant.

But soon enough, they were finished.

“Haaaa… I’m way too full,” Lilith expressed.

“Same…” Vatyra sighed. “This food receives a pass in my book. Sadly, there wasn’t much meat.”

However, when Vatyra glanced over to Lilith’s side, she spotted several bones.

“Y-You! You stole all my meat!”

“Huh? It was all on my side,” Lilith defended herself. “If you couldn’t reach over and grab it, it’s not my fault.”

A tiny bit of Vatyra’s mana escaped her body, shattering a couple of plates in the process.

The bellies of both these women were puffed out.

If at least one of them moved backward, the other would topple the table with her belly alone.

Rael held back a laugh as he watched the entire scene unfold, until finally, Vatyra stood up.

To the surprise of the two women, a barrage of plates was sent flying straight at Vatyra, who, although slightly panicked, caught all of them in the blink of an eye.

After placing the plates down on the table, she suddenly glared at Rael as if he was responsible.

“You…”

Rael tilted his head. “What did I even do?”

But just then, the leftovers of food came flying at him, forcing him to move out at light speed, reappearing slightly outside of the restaurant.

However, in front of Vatyra, who was several thousand times faster than him, he was a snail.

And so, he soon had a piece of cake splattered in his hair, causing him to let out a sigh.

Lilith stepped out soon after, chuckling at the sight.

“Hope you two had fun,” Rael said, wiping his hair clean.

“I know I did,” Lilith said.

“It was okay.” Vatyra coughed. “If there was more meat, I would’ve given it a 10/10. Since there wasn’t, I only give it a 9/10.”

“We’re doing ratings now?” Lilith mused. “Fine, in my books it’s a solid 9.6/10. I didn’t like the fish.”

Both of them turned to Rael with expectant looks.

“And you?”

“Uhh… 10/10. Your bickering was fun to watch,” Rael replied honestly.

After a brief pause, Lilith let out a chuckle, and Vatyra held back, only smiling in turn.

Still, it was a fun dinner.

And now, it was time to look at some other activities.

“You said you wanted to go to the theater,” Rael said. “Do you really want to, or was that just something you said?”

“Eh, I don’t care where we go, just choose whatever,” Lilith replied, and it seemed like Vatyra shared the same sentiment.

Rael knew that this was a trap.

And he was fully prepared for it.

“Do you want to try guessing what I chose?”

Lilith and Vatyra exchanged a glance, and then shrugged.

“Okay? Uhh… Puppet theater?” Lilith said.

Rael nodded. “Yep. That’s one.”

Then, he turned to Vatyra.

“What do you think?”

“Shooting range,” Vatyra replied confidently.

“Yep. You’re right as well.” Rael clapped, excited.

It was a little cheat code.

He was just happy neither of them caught on.

Still, there was one more thing they had to decide.

“Which one do you want first? Shooting or theater?”

“Puppet theater.”

“Shooting range.”

“…”

Well, that was another problem.

Rael thought that it wouldn’t get sorted anytime soon, but to his surprise.

“You know what? Sure, let’s go to the shooting range,” Lilith conceded.

Both Rael and Vatyra were surprised, but since that sorted out the issue, neither of them objected.

Now all they needed to do was find a shooting range.

But it seemed like they didn’t need to look for long as Vatyra pointed straight at one.

For some reason, it was right in front of a toy store.

No clue how that got past regulations, but Rael wasn’t going to complain.
