Capítulo 559: Turning Point [ 1 ]

“Climb onto this building, and then jump onto the brothel.”

“…Huh?” Altros froze. “Do you have a built-in parachute somewhere?”

“…”

And there goes his confidence.

“L-Look, even if I don’t die or something, a fall looks pretty painful, and this building is, uh…” His gaze trailed up the building. “I’m dead…”

It only took five minutes for Altros to snap back to not being a coward anymore, especially when he realized that Rael didn’t tell him to climb the side of a building.

There was literally a ladder in front of them.

So with that in mind, Altros got to climbing, getting minor anxiety because he was slightly afraid of heights. But when he arrived at the top of the building and overlooked the brothel, he was starting to second-guess himself.

That was when Rael decided to simply take over Altros’s body. In the blink of an eye, Rael jumped across and landed on the brothel’s rooftop, completely unscathed.

After that, Rael gave him back control.

“Phew…” Altros exhaled. “You should just deal with all of this yourself, you know?”

“Every time I possess you, my mana starts to drain rapidly. I went from 24 hours when I first arrived to around 11 hours. Might not have much left after this.”

Altros was about to say something, but he remembered his sister. If he could actually do everything Rael wanted him to, then he would be able to make a stupid voodoo request.

And so, after giving himself a slap, Altros approached the door on the rooftop and noticed it was locked.

However, instead of having Rael take over, he exerted slightly more strength. To his genuine surprise, the door handle broke off, and the door opened.

“…”

Is he becoming superhuman? Rael wondered. His strength definitely wasn’t anything like that when I first got here. Is it because of my mana? Hmm…

Still, Altros climbed down the staircase and arrived at the topmost floor. It looked luxurious, lined with tens of golden ornaments and even a few fancy weapons that were obviously illegal. There was a giant bloodstain, but Altros did his best not to pay too much attention to it.

In total, there were eight rooms. Altros wasn’t planning on barging into each one since he wasn’t keen on seeing that much bare ass. Therefore, he turned to Rael.

“Where is he?” Altros whispered.

“Room number three,” Rael replied. “Two women are inside. His gun is on the desk, and uhh… He’s got a strange kink, I’ll give him that much.”

“Strange kink?” Altros mused. “Well… I don’t kink shame.”

Rael shook his head, letting Altros do the heavy lifting.

He approached room number three, and after taking a deep breath and preparing himself for what was inside, he fiercely kicked the door, sending it flying with the frame.

The door flew across the room and hit Aston square against his old body.

“Kyaaaaa!” the women screamed in unison, and after grabbing their clothes, they ran outside the room.

Rael made sure to erase their memories of both Altros and the old man.

Even then, the objects the women were wearing on their…

Honestly, it was safe to say like father, like son. Some weird genetics were probably involved in that particular spot.

Aston pushed aside the door and tightened his robe. His toupee had fallen off, and he had a giant cut on his forehead. His body was not in any better shape either. Clearly, that door was enough to do some serious damage.

But even so…

“Who the fuck do you think you are, huh!?” Aston screamed, pointing at Altros. It seemed like he was still not all there since he didn’t recognize who Altros was.

But Altros would let him know.

“Don’t remember me?” Altros scoffed. “I gave you a lot of money recently. Is this the place where you spent it all instead of helping my sister?”

Aston froze, a massive grin appearing on his face.

“Rael Altros. I see now… This is some act of revenge, isn’t it? I suppose I should’ve expected that from such a violent person as you. But no matter, my guards will be here any minute now.” The source of thɪs content is novel·fiɾe·net

“There are no guards,” Rael assured. “He’s bluffing, but… Don’t let him go behind the curtain. There’s an automatic rifle there.”

Altros did his best not to show surprise, but it was a bit hard not to. After all, with every remark Aston made, he inched closer to the curtains.

If Altros were to kick off the ground, he wouldn’t make it to Aston. Aston would have enough time to pick up the gun and shoot.

Altros gulped, glancing at the gun that was only a single step away from him. It was an old-fashioned revolver. It had five out of the six bullets in its chamber.

In the end, Altros knew what he had to do.

“Director…” Altros took a deep breath. “Why did you send your son after me?”

Aston halted for a moment.

“What do you mean? Why would I send him after you? Do you think he can do something I can’t?”

Altros narrowed his eyes. “A few hours ago, I paid you a visit in the hospital… I wanted to negotiate, but you shot me down, calling me useless and threatening to ban me if I didn’t leave.”

So that’s why he was so determined, Rael thought with a faint smile.

“Well, I’m only doing what I have to do,” Aston replied. “Kids these days don’t realize how lucky they are. You had a full life ahead of you, so you should’ve taken it.”

He’s begun speaking in the past tense. I guess he really is confident in what he’s about to do, huh? Rael mused and gave Altros a slight nudge.

“You have five seconds before he pulls out his weapon and kills you. One second if you reach for the revolver and shoot him.”

Hearing that, Altros’s expression once again hardened. He stared at the old man for a brief moment, and then, with a determined expression, he leaned forward, grabbing the revolver off the desk.

Just then, Aston’s eyes widened as he turned around, ran up to the curtains, and pulled out a long-barreled automatic rifle.

Altros aimed the revolver at him, his hands trembling long enough for Aston to raise his rifle.

But remembering how far he had come, and who he was going so far for, Altros finally pulled the trigger.

And so did Aston.
