Chapter 387: Body Refining 36th Layer
Xiang Yu felt his body transforming once again.
He thought about how his body refining had just broken through the day before thanks to his war god body breakthrough and had already gained more than half the required experience.
This caused it to breakthrough once again after the reset.
He flexed his hands, feeling the changes. His physical strength kept growing steadily. He wondered how much his combat power had increased now. He would test it later.
He looked at his qi cultivation next.
He had gained quite a bit of experience there, breaking through to the second layer of golden core realm and gaining considerable experience toward the next realm.
Even so, he felt a little disappointed. He always felt he was fast in this area, but sometimes he also felt quite slow.
This was mostly because the minor realms in qi cultivation didn’t offer much to people like him and his wife who could fight beyond their realms.
Breaking through these minor realms felt like a waste of time. He sighed. Well, he hoped he would skip all this golden core stuff and go straight to nascent soul once his soul became nascent.
Speaking of, he had gained fifty thousand soul experience points during the day. Now it was at three hundred thousand points, just two resets away from leveling up.
He had gained all this soul experience from constantly stimulating his soul. He didn’t know if he could gain more than this per day.
Although he had started late, just after dinner, he didn’t know if starting earlier would let him stimulate it enough to save himself another day.
He started calculating. If he did it throughout the day from the start, he might be able to get about one hundred and fifty thousand. That plus the three hundred thousand would be four hundred and fifty thousand.
He was still fifty thousand short.
Even so, he felt that he might actually be able to save another half day. After that four hundred and fifty thousand doubled, he should be able to gain a hundred thousand during the day and level up his soul.
Unlike his professions, his other stats were totally fine with leveling up without needing the system reset for insights. Although the reset definitely helped consolidate the insights, he wouldn’t be losing out by much really.
The rest of his intrinsic stats didn’t seem to have changed much, so he didn’t pay much attention to them. He moved on to his domains.
Both void and gravity domains had gained five hundred experience points, bringing them closer to the absolute level.
The void domain experience came from him establishing the void in his spiritual sea and the gravity experience came from studying how the stellar body continuously formed stars.
Now that he thought about it, the gravity domain had just been a side effect of the stellar body, not its main aspect.
He wondered what the main aspect of the stellar constitution was. What domain would he gain after reaching level six? Would it be his own unique domain since he had made the body?
He shook his head. Well, no matter. He was already planning to make his main law, so he didn’t think it mattered all that much.
…
Space, time, and chaos had also gained a thousand experience points each.
After the reset, this would bring them just two resets away from entering the world level.
The space experience came from him establishing the space over the void he created, and the time experience came from the same process.
After establishing the space, he had felt it would be nice practice for the time domain as well to establish it on top of the space.
It seemed his decision was correct, as it gave the bonus effect of chaos experience.
When void, space, and time came together, they created chaos. Although it wasn’t entirely complete chaos like the chaos out there in the chaos, it was still something.
The nice thing about chaos was that he didn’t really have to allocate separate time for it. He could train it by training the other aspects, as long as they were more aligned with chaos and didn’t follow order.
Speaking of, Xiang Yu wondered if he could train order by stimulating chaos.
Since they were extreme opposites, he could clash them together and force them to balance each other, farming loads of experience.
He sighed. That would remove the advantage he had of not having to practice chaos to gain its experience.
Well, he’d look into it later. If it really could gain as much experience as he thought it would, it might not necessarily be a bad thing, he thought.
The rest of the domains were just progressing at a normal pace, so he didn’t bother with them.
He noticed his soul flame – it had actually gained ten thousand experience points.
He smiled. It seemed that the training method he was using was the real deal. As long as he kept this up, he would bring it to immortal grade in no time.
He thought to himself that he didn’t have to worry about the flame anymore. As time went on, his understanding of void and space deepened, and he’d be able to train it in the void more deeply as well as make lots of space to feed it.
Even so, he hoped it would show him even more of its abilities soon, though he wasn’t betting on it much.
After merging with the flame, it seemed he had gained all there was to gain. He would probably gain more as his soul grew stronger. Well, he supposed increasing the efficiency of his secondary professions was also nice.
His intents were progressing nicely, with his palm intent a reset away from level three.
Although it didn’t look like it, the intents really helped him in combat, especially in his war god form. Due to his all-weapon fighting style, having intent gave him that extra boost he needed to make his attacks even stronger.
For his other abilities, his yin yang harmony and elemental clone were all past the halfway point and would enter the third level in the next reset.
For these, he wasn’t particularly excited, as they would probably just receive a few optimizations and maybe an output boost for the yin yang harmony.
Xiang Yu didn’t feel like he needed that, as he could already accomplish that with his domain. Well, maybe it would give him some insights into the yin yang domain.
As he thought of that, he suddenly had a realization. He gazed at his elemental clone ability.
Was it really the best it could be? No, far from it.
There was so much more he could do with this. He remembered the demon god twins – they were still doing well in their classes. He wondered if he should study them to see if he could evolve his clone ability even further…
…
Author’s Corner
it wasn’t entirely complete chaos like the chaos out there in the chaos: chaos as in chaos (not to be confused with chaos)
