Chapter 2374: Deal

"The real prince of darkness? Can't say I am not tempted." Trike kept his calm.

There is no sign of surprise or delight on his face. Nor was an expression of doubt. But his heart is in extreme turmoil.

"I am sure you would be. Because I know how important the prince is for you and the rest of the Set academy.

That is the mission given to you guys by Set after decades of silence from him. I am sure the price to pay is worth it."

"Then enlighten me on one thing. How are you planning to get me that prince of darkness? Trust me, there are not a lot of places left. We searched high and low for a person that satisfies the requirements to be a vessel."

"Well, there is one part of that video that I completely agree with. Whatever that old man said about creating a person artificially, it is actually true.

However, the approach he took is completely wrong.

He changed the heart. He replaced the perfectly good heart with an artificial heart that is made out of tissues of some undead creatures. It runs solely on the inscriptions and consumes a lot of energy, hindering the vessel's cultivation.

To increase that cultivation, you have to use other artificial methods again.

However, there are some long term issues that come with this approach.

The heart is contaminating the blood and mutating it. This mutation is spreading across the vessel's body and is changing the tissues on a cellular level. Sooner or later, the whole body will decompose and he will become more or less a creature that is half undead and half alive.

Both of the parts contradicting each other and in process, killing the potential as a whole. That is going to be the final result of it all.

However, I have a great way of recreating the body that won't have any of these affects. All you need to do is find a Astral Plane cultivator who has physical constitution, closest to the requirements. I will take it from there."

Trike stayed silent for a moment to process everything.

"You can recreate a body? You can artificially create a constitution that I need?"

"I can neither confirm or deny it.

All I can say is that you will have the final result that you desire."

"Why are you being so cooperative all of a sudden? As far as my knowledge goes, the moment you stepped foot in this academy realm, you have been hostile to the very essence of it.

You created trouble, made enemies out of everyone that you came across.

I don't really have any personal grudge against your academy or the Duat region for that matter. I have what you want and I am sure you can create the circumstances as per my requirement.

But who are we kidding, you would still get the better end of the deal, even if you pay me twice of what I am asking you for."

"Alright, I will take the bait.

But I need to see some proof. I cannot just take your word about making a new prince of darkness out of nowhere. I need to see a detailed plan of your approach and convince me."

"You want me to reveal all my plans and procedures before we sign a deal?"

"Not really. We will sign an airtight soul contract before we finalize the deal or even before we discuss the details of your approach. I am nothing if not fair."

"Alright. Just await for another bird puppet that comes with my soul contract. And you can keep that bird puppet as a gift. That is the latest version in the series. A special edition I would like to call it. I am sure you will appreciate how purposeful it could be."

"I am waiting."

The bird puppet left, but not before dropping spatial ring and a final statement in Sam's voice.

"A parting gift and a friendly gesture."

The spatial ring is full of documents and recording crystals. A sample of the information that Sam said he will give.

Trike went through it the whole night and was both surprised and terrified at the same time. The information is too sensitive and he knew some of it. But there are parts that he is nowhere near knowing. He is surprised Sam even managed to catch a hold of it.

The terrifying part... he understood that this is just the sample. He couldn't even fathom what the full extent of the information he has on him.

He is suddenly looking forward to this cooperation way more than he did before.

Sam stayed in the Hub as he concocted the plan.

He started arranging the information that he planned to give Trike. He is not stupid, he is not going to give everything he had on the Set academy to Trike. That would be him losing a lot of cards. Getting on the good side of the Set academy is well and good, but it is not worth the

price.

He compiled and organized the information that he wanted to set and also drafted the plan to convince the Elder.

After that is done, he placed the signed soul contract in the space gate formation, sending it to the hub on the Duat region's side.

The next morning, one of Sam's special bird puppets flew out of the Duat region's hub and entered Elder Trike's residence once again.

Unlike the ones before, this bird puppet is a lot more different. It is a bit smaller, but much more complex and life like in its structure. The signs of vitality emitting from it, gave an illusion like that.

It connected with Trike's wrist band and all the information regarding that was made

available to him.

Along with that, the storage compartment of the bird puppet was also released, revealing the documents of the soul contract and the recording crystals with Sam's plan all revealed to

Trike.

Trike first opened the soul contract. After reading all the clauses and seeing Sam's signature,

he signed it.

It ensures that whether the deal goes through or not, neither Sam nor Trike will reveal each other's secrets that they are exposing to each other.

Sam will not speak of the dark prince, the black fog and anything else related to the matter,

while Trike will not speak of Sam's plans and his capabilities.

Once it is signed, the recording crystals were truly made available to him.

In the recording crystals, what Trike saw made him look at Sam in a whole new light.

He is an experienced elder and he prided himself on seeing all sorts of people with all sorts of abilities. Still, he assumed when Sam said he can create the prince of darkness, that Sam is just

bullshitting.

But what Sam showed made him think otherwise.

And for a good reason. Because what Sam revealed is before and after analysis of Stone. He

didn't go too deep into the surgery or the procedure that Sam conduced, nor did he mention

the fact that he changed it.

However, he showed what changes occurred in Stone's body.

A clear analysis of Stone before the surgery and a clear analysis after the surgery.

The complete change in his body, strength and constitution. If this doesn't convince Trike,

nothing will.

That is a solid proof indicating that he might be the closest thing that can deliver what Trike

needed.

That is enough to convince him.

Just like that Trike sent back a message stating that he is agreeing to the deal. Of course, Sam needs some time to figure out the details and there are too many eyes on him. He needs to find

the suitable time to go to Duat region.

But before that, he has some other things to take care of.

One of which is sending message to the remaining six players across the realms. It wasn't also

that much difficult.

Because apart from Dayus, the rest of the people already have an inkling about the Hub. Sam even collected the names of the players' lackeys to not get them stuck in the crossfire.

The message clearly detailed what Sam's first mission is, how it was triggered and how far he has come in accomplishing the mission conditions.

He didn't reveal any other information, nor did he prompt them to get their missions. All he did was reveal the information about his current mission status.

That was enough to light a fire under their bottoms.
