Chapter 2071: Going To Sleep

Chapter 2071: Going To Sleep

"He’s not alone?" Someone asked.

Before anyone could answer his question, a large number of bunnies appeared; bunnies of all sizes.

When they saw the bunnies, none of the Eighth stage Sovereigns felt any relief. As cute as the bunnies looked, there were two Ninth stage Sovereigns present among them. Even if they removed the Ninth stage Sovereigns, there were also over twenty Eighth stage Sovereigns, which was double the Eighth stage Sovereigns on their side.

"How can he have such an army and say he’s not shameless?" The Eighth stage Sovereign who initially accused Grey of being shameless felt his heart dropping. Although he wanted to ask Grey this question, he did not have the energy to engage in any form of conversation with the latter.

The other Eighth stage Sovereigns had the same thoughts about this. For someone who previously mentioned they had the number advantage, it clearly did not seem that way right now.

The Eighth stage Sovereigns were at a loss for what to do. They wanted to tell their subordinates to retreat, but that would mean giving up the treasure. The emissary was already on his way here according to what he said from their last communication. They did not have the courage to report to him that the treasure had been taken.

’It’ll still take half a day for the treasure to fully mature. He should not want to fight us if we decide to retreat.’

The Gnome who took charge with the death of the Ninth stage Sovereign sent a voice transmission to the other Eighth stage Sovereigns.

Hearing the voice transmission, the Eighth stage Sovereigns agreed in unison, believing Grey would not want to take the risk of keeping them here. Besides, even though he had support, it was impossible for him to keep them here. At least that was what they thought...

"Grey, I must admit you’re above our expectations. No one will believe in just a few years, you have grown this much." The Eighth stage Sovereign spoke up, seeing that he got Grey’s attention, he continued, "Since you want the treasure in the cave, we will concede to you."

After saying this, the Gnome and the other Eighth stage Sovereigns gave the signal to retreat.

The weaker Sovereigns present heaved a sigh of relief when they heard this. They were already frightened by the thought of clashing with Grey, when they saw so many bunnies and even a few of them having cultivation stronger than their strongest experts present, they did not even have the courage to fight back. Seeing that their leaders also understood this made them feel grateful.

They were starting to slowly retreat when Grey asked a question they never expected.

"Who said I’m after the treasures?" Grey asked coldly as his eyes locked onto the group that was farthest.

"Grey, we have already let you take the treasure, what else do you want?" A human Eighth stage Sovereign asked.

"Your pathetic lives." Grey’s reply was filled with malice, looking at the current leader of the group who was a Gnome, he said, "Kill all the humans and your kind can leave."

The second Grey said this, the atmosphere changed instantly. A few Gnomes looked at the humans not too far from them.

The humans felt their hearts go cold when they heard this, and the Faction Leader who was the last to make a move voiced out, "Grey Dawson, I don’t know if you think we are all your age, but we are veterans who have lived for hundreds of years, even older than your father. Do you think we will believe what you say?"

The Faction Leader’s words were not wrong, and neither did Grey try to refute it.

Creating a four colored fusion orb on his palm, Grey said, "It’s either one race is left or I kill both, choose."

The sight of the fusion orb was the last straw for a few of them. Although they could not tell just how powerful it was, they could all sense the insane amount of energy contained within which made them uneasy.

"Don’t listen to him, great Natt, he’s only trying to sow discord between us." The Faction Leader quickly turned to the current leader of the Gnomes who was in charge.

The Gnome referred to as great Natt, looked at the Faction Leader in purple without saying a word. Of course he knew that Grey only wanted to separate them after showing the massive number of bunnies that were under his control. What he could not understand was how a human was able to order so many bunnies. As he thought about this, he recalled the voice he heard and looked at the bunny leader that was standing beside Grey.

The bunny leader was different from the other bunnies, other than his aura, just the way he was standing on Grey’s shoulder like Void who was on the other side, made them understand he was special.

"Kill the bunny and we can win. He has no power over the bunnies." The Gnome ordered.

When the other Eighth stage Sovereigns heard this, they examined the bunny leader and realized he is indeed different from the others. They quickly gave out the order and charged towards Grey.

Grey almost burst out laughing when he heard them say they wanted to kill the bunny leader. If not for him catching the bunny leader by mistake and given the strength of the latter’s army then, he was not certain he would have been able to harm the bunny leader. Yet these guys wanted to make him their focus.

"Keep them busy, once I’m done with the others I’ll come for you." Grey said and vanished.

The bunny leader and Void both smiled, exchanging glances, they both flew to a tree branch and closed their eyes, going to sleep.

One the Eighth stage Sovereign made the first move after the great Natt’s order, just as he was getting close, he saw the duo seemingly going to sleep.

"Huh, it went to sleep?"
